Commercial film maker turned RU-vidr, Vince Roy aims to tell stories about the "Big Boy Toys" he's always dreamt about from a proudly Canadian perspective.
The guy that's had his mach for 2 or 3 years and the warranty is up... lol... that's me right now, going into my 3rd season with my mach Z and I'm looking to do some power upgrades, I probably going to do precision EFI tune but your content is extremely positive about hurricane...
Ya the tether thing, I'd say get a good size carabiner you can use with gloves on and always hook it to the waist. Build that habit from the start. I'm sure some eyes will roll at this, but In my opinion the wrist method is poor, there's too many ways it can fail. I have seen people do innocent little tip overs on the slightest of inclines (like the edge of a trail where it's soft) where they are trying to hold onto the bars still, and then they get partially rolled over with the sled still running. Or I've seen it slip off the wrist, offering no protection at all, or catch on branches and kill the sled unintentionally. On a sea doo it can go to the wrist or ankle, but that's fine because you can't get pinned underneath a sea doo. On a sled it is meant to go to the waist. Anyway, I'm not telling you what to do, again, just my honest (long winded 😅) opinion. Thanks for the detailed review, appreciate it!
Yeah, agreed. Any other sled or Seadoo my girls ride now it’s always clipped to a vest or a jacket. Wrist is better than nothing but definitely not ideal.
Oh nice! I haven’t ridden out on the Island much. My In-law’s had a camp on Manitou for a few years so I spent some time during the summer there. Doing my snow dance every night before bed 😉 You probably wouldn’t enjoy riding with me, I stop for the camera way too much lol
@@BeaverTailToys nice and I won’t mind the stopping because I most likely do the same thing 😂 I’m planning on doing more videos with snowmobiling and ATV soon.
Thanks @RonRivet! I can't speak to the best place in Timmins but I can say that I do enjoy staying at the Super 8. Nice size parking lot, direct access to the trail and good restaurant!
Great video brother. Love the conversation between your inner artist and inner engineer. Great combination. 😄 Can’t wait to see this progress along. And can’t wait to ride it. 😜
incredible rigs. we have a 2017 snoscoot 200. boy has ridden everywhere we go. no odometer on it but we easily do between 800-1200 miles a season. its truly unbelievable that its still going.
These are peaking my interest but had a quick question if I could. I believe these have a glove insert. Is that insert lose? Was it a pain for you to get your hands in and out in the cold or when they are sweaty? You know how often they can come off and on in a day especially you with all that filming gear. Cheers.
@@BeaverTailToys Ah that's great to hear. The BRP description talks about an insert -- "Waterproof, windproof and with a breathable glove insert.." I'm glad they don't, I could see it being a pain. I'll have to check these out. Currently have the Klim ones but they are traditional Hi, Med, Lo which has you constantly adjusting them throughout the day. Thanks again.
Should be a fun project brother, can't wait to see it in action! I have never seen such a poor winter in Ontario and rode so few miles. I am likely to not even change my oil in the Mach. Would love to see OFSC give us permit buyers some sort of credit toward next seasons permit. Wishful thinking. Let's hope we get some decent cold temps/snow. Cheers!
Surely was a horrible winter but it's gonna be better this year! I disagree about the OFSC credit though. Weather is out of our control and certainly out of the OFSC's hands as well....thinking cold thoughts for 2025 lol.
So if I understood this right, for the price you paid, you could have bought a late model winder with the tune and kept your MachZ stock for the price you paid to tune it?
Vince.....that's Crazy! Lol I owe you. You came to my restaurant so hopefully we have an Awesome winter and I'll sled to the French to see you. Love the vids Bud!
Thanks bros! You don't owe me shit, excited to sample some more of your delicious food soon and yeah, hopefully we can connect this season in piles of snow 😀
@@BeaverTailToys So long as you agree with the first part that's fine. Otherwise report me to your youtube god you flake. Maybe have someone with 3rd grade level intelligence proofread your comments btw. I can tell you are oozing with intelligence.
Technically I guess I lost “Eco Mode”. Outside of that would be that the trip computer doesn’t calculate fuel economy anymore. No change to how the smart shox function.
Can’t wait to see how it rips!!! You may need a parachute😂😂 i’ve got a 2023 with only 430 miles on it. I really enjoy your videos. Has me really thinking about going for the 230 kit. Also, on another note because of your video on the Neo plus which was very informative, I am picking a new one up for my 10 year-old son. He is pretty pumped.
Very nice video! I got the second one Dave as built!! Have been able to give it 1 run before sending it back to Dave so they can change the track and add studs! Can’t wait to ride it next season! Let me know if you would like to see the short video i have done of it!!
@martinchicoine1581 that’s awesome!! So jealous you got to try yours. I’d love to see that video. Maybe send me a message on Facebook or Instagram. What track and stud combo are you going with?
Hey Vince, Congrats bud.. I can’t wait for some real snow this coming season and hear your thoughts on your 310hp Z upgrade. I have Dave’s programmer w/ two cluster tunes for my ‘22 T-cat. 225, 240 & 270hp w/stock muffler and 240, 270 & 300hp tunes for his trail muffler. All I can say is with that much hp on hard packed trail I can hear you now. 👍🏼😂 Take Care
I applaud your commitment to hit 300hp on the Z. I love mine but she’ll have to live with stage 1r or maybe 2r next year. 20k for 310hp is nutz but it must be a beast!!
lol so I saw you on 400 going home after you picked it up. I can’t wait to see it go. Sounds amazing I hope 2025 is epic also hope we can get together in 2025.
Are people aware that this david joanis character is a racist criminal who thinks that justice system does not apply to him? What a disgrace to town of Cochrane have that banner with him on it
Vince your content never ceases to amazing me, the quality is incredible. But I have to point out a little error you said the “600 sport has the 600 r engine” . It doesn’t, it has the non-detuned version of the motor that’s in the Neo at 85hp. The 600 R engine is an Etec motor and produces about 125 hp big difference between the two sleds. The other thing is , the 600 etec is $4000 more expensive than the sport. the sport after putting my boys on them 13-15 year olds. Is actually the next step in the evolution after the 200 or Neo. The seat is in between the neo and the regular 600r and so is the power.. especially if you have big boys, my wife also really enjoyed the 600 EFI.
@@TheLeblancGroup well you can’t edit a video and re-upload but RU-vid does allow you to add some titles and cut chunks out of videos I believe but I haven’t done that yet so we’ll see how it goes, looks like I’ll be learning too lol
So i literally just watched a video from straightline performance 2 days ago, in there testing with a full size adult on it they saw 60-65 mph , they have developed a pipe and a full clutch kit for the neo that brings it up to around 75mph , a good way to keep the sled fun as a kid gets older...
