Vibration can be found everywhere in the environment, from a moving bicycle to a spacecraft in orbit. Even though the vibrations generate low stresses in the components, continuous loads often cause fatigue. As a result, it is critical to do a fatigue study to assess the damage caused by the vibrations and to compute the estimated life of the concerned part. In this video, we'll go through the importance of performing a random vibration fatigue study and how to accomplish it in Ansys Mechanical.

@@AnsysLearning Wow. This will help a lot. My employer wants me to get certified By Ansys, for Ansys Structural, Thermal, and CFD using Fluent. This requirement is reference to ASME (Section V and VIII) for process equipment. Do you have faculty led courses anywhere in INDIA? I will prefer classroom courses. Sincere thanks. 🙏🏻

Does anyone know how the actual number of cycles can be extracted for the 1, 2 and 3sigma stresses. By that I mean the actual cycle count, a s a number of cycles. I need to use the cycle count vs stress values in a seperate program (NASGRO) to assess the effect of random vibration on crack growth (i.e. fracture control assessment)

Incredible video! Excellent. However i though rainflow method was the best cycle counting algorithm for fatigue analysis

11:00 How to use all the points in this graph in analysis? Not just start and end point.
