I remember being 52 and completely free of the primal urge to have a mate and a partner. I felt at peace just being me. I'm 63 now and have become more resourceful than I had ever been when my children were still at home. When we slow down we are present to experience each second and take the time to educate ourselves in all the ways we haven't had the focus or desire to be our best selves and contribute to Others hoping to achieve the same. So best version is subjective. I've read over 500 books in the past few years, and my business is still growing. My role model are the women I've known in their 80s, who are still active matriarchs, public health, political, environmental, and human rights advocates. The key to being our best is a pursuit of vast knowledge so to make informed decisions. Keep in mind that every interaction has a reach and effect upon Others and may last for generations. What we do, say, and act has a continumn until we're gone. So it's a good idea to accept our new Self as there is no other choice. Why not do our best and be our best version of ourselves by accepting and loving our wiser self, and do all we hope to do without regret. ✨️
