Alessio is the sweetest for doing this and going out in public trying to do chores while cramping. Jessi is probably going to get all the snacks she wants when she’s on her period from now on. Did Alessio get coffee after grocery shopping?
Spain finally passed a law for 3 days a month of period leave, the first country to do so. More countries need to do this, as well as getting rid of pink taxes! I’m so glad Alessio was such a good sport about this and genuinely learned from it!
I wonder if that law will effect the hiring of women. If I were a CEO of a company I would think hiring men is less expensive than hiring women. Its just a fact. And less trouble aka sexual harassment claims etc
If you're proud then don't laugh at him or call him weak. I know women's periods are hell, and that there are assholes who underestimate the suffering women go through. But laughing at men who try this and saying "men weak, woman strong!" won't make anything positive happen for women anytime soon. Actually, you'll be giving misogynists more ammo, and potentially create new ones. Women deserve respect, but misandry won't get them any.
I did that at 11 years old until it almost burst and my dad figured out it wasn’t my period when I threw everything up. He even pushed the doctors to examine me more and not write it off as period cramps and when they did, I needed emergency surgery to get it removed.
@@aylacrissman3443 I had a similar experience with my appendix. Mine was leaking for about a month and was ignored at first, only people were concerned when I wouldn’t eat and kept passing out in school and when I didn’t celebrate Christmas with my family… I was taken into emergency (in my small town) the next day and was told to go to the nearest hospital immediately. I almost died! 😅
The first time I ovulated it was on my right side I was 11 and had never experienced a period or anything like it. I was confused and in a lot of pain my dad took me the ER and they thought my appendix was rupturing but soon realized it wasn’t so they didn’t remove it. They said they had no clue what it was and put me on a bland diet for about a month. It took over 8 years for me to figure out was it was because it would happen once every month before my period. I was in anatomy class in college when my professor said that pain can happen during ovulation and it just hit me that every time I’m ovulating I get that pain. Called my dad after class to tell him mystery solved and he was relieved it wasn’t anything super serious that got ignored.
Thank you for the way you did this! I've always wanted to see how a woman would compare the machine to real life experience. I also love how you didn't torture Alessio just for fun, but let him have some control with the simulator. Great video!
Her, in a normal voice, with no strange movements, and a smile: This is really intense, I don't think I want to go higher. Him, 2 levels lower: squeaks and writhes with discomfort.
I had endometriosis with fibroids and ovarian cysts, and eventually had a hysterectomy. I never, ever had a 3 day period. Even as a teen they lasted over 15 days and before I had the hysterectomy at 50, the period lasted 3 months. I worked two jobs most of that time, raised a daughter as a single mom, went back to university for 3 degrees, and was a caregiver to my mom for 12 years. Women are the backbone.
Thank you for your closing comments! I have endo too and get a lot of crap from people who just do not believe how much pain I’m experiencing. Sometimes it’s so bad I have to call out of work. A boss actually asked me if I could “handle the job.” I don’t get paid for those days off either. And the cost of periods is huge too! If you add up all the period products and pain reliever over multiple years, it’s a lot. Periods are not our faults.
I wish information about the different medical conditions women have was given out to every employer and all Junior High and High School staff members. I was 9 when I started and had to have a note from my doctor so I could get up to use the restroom in school often enough to take care of it. Even then I still had some teachers who didn't think I needed to get up and would end up having blood on my clothes. We had uniforms and our uniform had khaki bottoms. We couldn't wear hoodies or jackets so no tying anything around my waist to cover it.
@@carly1478 I am SO sorry you are dealing with that. I had to finally throw my hands up and get a hysterectomy mine were so rough. (Should you choose that path, get the right doctor, go robotic if possible and only the 2 days are bad. But that 2nd one likely ~hopefully~ won't count for you. My 18lb Maine Coon cat decided to jump right on my middle from the headboard. Stay aware from cats and it is a quick deal now.)
Alessio became more empathetic. I had severe cramps for 5 of seven days. I remember people telling me it couldn't be that bad. Everyone is different in their pain level but it is definitely not the most fun. Time of the month!
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't women tougher (more pain tolerant) than men? I mean that's evidently what the video is implying in a way. I want you guys to have better, but I don't think rubbing it in men's faces is the way.
@@str8apem88 not more pain tolerant, women are socialized to hide anything and everything to do with periods. We're trained in how to outwardly behave, but pain is pain
My personal experience was, getting cramps, then the flooding, if the blood would flow good, my cramps would get less, but if it didn't flow very well I would get horrible cramps. I'm 51 now, and it's history now THANK GOODNESS. From my 40 to the end of my period years I got the pill in a injection form. That helped me a lot. But then I didn't want kids anymore
I enjoyed this because of how compassionate he was towards you. Many men think that because they feel a certain way about something, that's the reality. It isn't until they experience it that they realize they were wrong. I have PCOS and the cramps have been so horrible that when I actually had my first kid, I had no idea I was even having strong contractions. That pain every month for 10 days non-stop is real and you cannot turn it off.
It is so sweet to see his reaction and hear his support for us. It would be awesome for all husbands to do this. Thank you Alessio. I have endometriosis and PCOS and fibroids too so I completely understand your pain. I see you!
I really respect this man to go through the whole process and feel the pain and understand it. This shows your love for your wife. Hats off!!! And for your wife to let you have it at your terms was a mutual respect. Love your chemistry
It's tooo bad he's also being laughed at and called weak. Look I get it that women go through hell every month, and that there are some MAJOR assholes who underestimate their pain, but calling men weak will not get them the respect they need.
I wish all Men would do this to understand what it’s like. I died laughing watching Alessio sniffing the tampons and His reaction to “Do you want to go out to dinner ? “ You’re a great sport Alessio!
Alessio is a Saint for taking this on, but hun you are my _hero_ for doing this with him and showing us the difference between the simulator and reality. I've been really curious how the simulators compare, and your comment about how the simulator is topical instead of that deep, from the core knotting of muscles reaffirmed my suspicions. Also, you freaking rock for going to consensual levels and respecting each other during this.
I want women's pain to be taken seriously, but sometimes these videos feel less like empathy videos and more like "see, who's the REAL stronger/weaker sex". I want you guys to have better but I really don't think the way your doing it is gonna get you guys the respect you deserve. Misandry will just create more woman haters.
Watching this with endo- my tens machine on, laying on a heating pad, with my cat on me- thank you both for much for more than just laughter- some thoughtful ideas there and actually having him try and do stuff.
I've read that vitamin D deficiency is present in women with endo, I suggest you research on it or just supplement to see if it helps in a way. Supplements take 2+ months to fully work but it doesn't hurt to try!
Thanks, Jessi! This is great service you are doing. About 20% of women experience it with fibroids and anemia and have it even worse. A bit of empathy goes a long way. Thanks to Alessio for testing it.
This is so sweet that yall did the experiment together. The comparison and being "in it together" really shows through when both sides are part of the experiment... I did, however, rudely busted out laughing when Alessio smelled the tampons like he would cheese or coffee... 😅
Yes, i am having to take a pause to breathe 💀 And comment. Glad i found this. A bit late. Srry He was just looking for comfort. Poor thing I:m still wiping the tears . haven't laughed that hard in a long while Very wholesome ❤
My husband understands that it hurts and is very nice to me when I'm on my period. But on the other hand he is like "women can't expect to get a week off every month." Most women don't need a week off, we just want to be understood when we can't do everything as usual. I take pain meds for 2 to 4 days and if I don't I even throw up. 😑
Alessio! Grazie! This not only made me laugh but warmed my heart. I wish everyone who doesn’t have a period could experience this once. I think if they did maybe workplace cultures would shift a bit to allow people who menstruate to have a day or so off of work. Or at least maybe allow for a bit more compassion from employers, teachers etc. You guys are the best! ❤
I'm glad to see it with both y'all at the same time, and also to see him attempting normal things with those cramps. It's a unique pain. If I don't take any medicine to curb mine, they make it almost impossible to walk. For days after my back is physically sore like I was kicked by a donkey. It's horrible. Then after this simulator, every woman needs to add on "btw you also can't tell the difference between cramps and hunger pains, oh and also, period shits are a thing".
YES! Dudes need to imagine the tens machine not just in one spot on the front, but all over upper thighs, lower back, glutes, and on your, erm, bits 😂 Plus blood. All the blood.
“Get the broom amore.” “Why me???” I ask myself that every time hahaha. Thank you for doing this Alessio. I think Jessi is right, this experience opens people’s eyes to what’s going on for another person. The worse treatment I get is from other women who tell me this is nothing, just pop a tablet to feel better, hurry up you’re wasting time, there’s things that need to be done etc. Just a little sympathy would be appreciated.
Yes, definitely agreed. Some women can actually be the cruelest as maybe they’re one of the lucky ones with mild or little to no cramps and assume everyone else is similar. Some of us have excruciating pain making us vomit and faint. A little sympathy goes a long way.
@@xtiebro I had the horrific experience of having a female supervisor who made every day a living hell. I was once so ill I could barely function. She wouldn’t give me time off, in fact she sat next to me during my shift to make sure I wasn’t faking it. She micromanaged everything I did. I think she’s as you say, someone who has more milder symptoms and experiences, and therefore assumes everyone else has the same exact bodily state.
Regina ruby welcome to the club lol yeah does it suck most of time yeah but just think of this way later on ( way later after college !! lol ) and decide to have a baby just thunk this is your body preparing and that's nourishment to build life so as much as it sucks it we also have periods for wonderful things we get to create and carry and sustain a life inside us
Oh God, so sorry! I just mostly have PMS, and barely have any symptoms during my period, but sometimes for the whole 3 days I don't eat I get different symptoms every month sometimes my cramps start a week before sometimes I get anxious and every little thing upsets me.
I can believe how excruciating it can be. My daughter has had it so bad that there were times that she went to the walk-in clinic for relief. She has since gotten it under control with certain types of birth control products, but yeah, trying to help your loved one when they're crying is not a good thing to experience.
I want to get one to simulate labor pains for my husband. I had 3 children naturally and they were big babies. Maybe I should start with this for him!!
This is the best video i have seen done on the topic. I now no longer deal with this. I have PCOS, and could go several months with nothing, then have have a month with horrable pain and bleed for 2 weeks! After 10 years of trying for a child and being told by many Dr it was not going to happen, i did get my miracle child. Tons of issues for 9 months but worth all of it. However, i developed 2 auto immune disorders, or it triggered them, and i now have cronic pain, and skin and joint issues. So many people struggle with pain, cronic pain and illness that others can not see. So glad i have a supportive husband, and over time found tricks to help a little. But anyone who treats people with pain like crap, need to have this experence. Love y'alls content
Honestly, this should be required for ALL men to try. You did good Alessio. Thanks for providing a control Jessi because I have always wondered whether they were accurate.
Four words THANK GOD FOR MENOPAUSE!! seriously after 3 decades of cramps, bleeding, fibroids, anemia I am free. I do sympathize with every female, including my daughter going thru the monthly. For all the sympathetic, supportive guys out there I applaud you. Great attitude Alessio! For the guys who don't take those conditions seriously or laugh it off, try the simulator or just get yourself kicked in the balls over and over.
@@thistlegal2154 it's October and I crack open the window at night plus use the tower fan. It still beats worrying about messing up your bed sheets at night with blood due to fibroids. I do NOT miss that at all. May your nights be cooler and drier.
PREACH IT Sister! I so DO NOT miss the hormones, crankies, weird poops, cramps, blood, tampons+pads because the flow was so heavy, and all of that! I’ve been lucky enough not to get power surges, at least not yet. No wonder my family calls it the Curse! Alessio, you are a real man for giving this an honest try, the world needs more like you!
@2:14 Jessi u “didn’t feel anything at lvl 1 & 2 and a slight vibration at 3” because irl us women tend to ignore minor aches and pains. Alessio u are a champ👏🏼 hugsfromNYC 🍎
THANK YOU Jessi & Alessio for sharing this informative video. 🙏 You had me laughing and crying of sadness too. I wish more people were aware of what women have to deal with starting at such a young age and through their lifetime. It is a very terrible experience and only gets worse as women age.😔 Yet, women are expected to carry on like nothing. Keep educating others so they're more understanding, sympathetic and helpful towards those that unfortunately have to experience this traumatic situation in their life. Blessings always.
Women need free healthcare products, and mandatory two week period leave, and I feel bad for you guys. But I really wish you guys wouldn't you this to flex on men and say you're "tougher" and that men are "weaker". In addition to the risk of creating more incels, you also risk making men more unsympathetic to your plights when you go misandrist.
Bravo. I passed out during my menses for most of my youth until I became pregnant. I had extensive hormone and treatments for 4.5 years for infertility treatments without support from husband. I Would NEVER want anyone to go through this. I have 2 beautiful children that are miracles. And....sooo happy I had a pediatrician who informed me what would likely happen and NOT to put off trying for children if I wanted them. I didn't wait, began trying to conceive on our honeymoon...still it took with aggressive infertility almost 5 years and much pain plus extra hormones....awful time.
You guys are AMAZING!! Love you so much!! I'm so proud of Alessio too for being willing to do more like chores etc...because, yeah you have to still function normally AND you have blood coming out of you, so you have to constantly change and go to the bathroom. Especially if it's very heavy (my experience). Thank you two, you're both awesome! 🥰❤️ Interesting side note about the working! I've heard that in some jobs in Korea women can get "period leave" so they don't have to work during that time. Basically like sick leave but for periods every month. I wish we had that here. Maybe if we can get more men to try these simulators!! 😆
Jessi, I had Endometriosis, too. Very, very painful. Got to where the monthly "red river " flow was so heavy I was anemic. PAMPRIN was a Blessing for me and our daughters. Less pain, cramps, headache, bloating, irritability and more. SO WONDERFUL of a product! God Bless you both and your futures.
Alessio looked like he was gonna pass out while you were at the supermarket but it's amazing he agreed to try this to understand what Jessi is going through especially she mentioned she gets them every time.
Thank you for doing this video and educate others that don’t know what some women have to go through. Not a lot of people are understanding, I have been going through it for about 30 years, 7 or 8 days every month and it does not get better. I had people telling me that after I had kids the pain was going to go away and it’s not true.
I used to have such severe cramps, I'm so glad I got an IUD, idc about the potential health issues that come with it I haven't had a period in a year and it's so nice to be pain free 😭
Honestly this made me day. Like a lot of ppl are like ' it not that bad walk it off' or ' you can still exercise it shouldn't stop you' but if they feel it like this were a level 4 is a good day. Me personally it sounds like a day i can do gym, pull up groceries, bike around. Small things like than but base on your face for 6-7 that might be like first day cramp. Tbh it's nice of him to actually do this for so long and not tap out in like the first hour or 2. I know it can be painful Ps period cramps are also supposed to experience early labor in a tone down way
Bro, women try this all the time, and they say they feel borderline nothing. Sometimes I wonder if these videos is just an excuse for women to flex on men and call them weak. I know women's periods are pure suffering and they need respected, but I don't think being like "whos weak now" will have the opposite effect.
@@str8apem88 lol its not about "who is weak now" its about understanding each other better. Just because you know it should be respected does not mean everyone does. And sorry bro that I personally have never seen a woman use this thing before.
@@nodoubtmisa You can't deny that some women are being just as sexist as men who say women can't be physically strong, yeah? I want men to take women's pain seriously so that peace between the sexes can exist, but I'm afraid some guys are gonna see the more 'immature" comments and create more incels and ruin women's progress. Also you can look it up, try typing girls try period simulator on youtube. Apparently women's cramps are way worse than a ten on it. (Damn, are you guys superhuman or something?)
@@str8apem88 I never said that women cant be sexist, I was literally just making a comment about how I have never seen a woman use this thing before because its not really something I look for, rather than just stumble upon like in this case. :p And I mean if a comment on a youtube video is enough to make someone an incel, then they were close to that point anyway, you cant take comments on the internet too serious or you gonna go crazy no matter what direction. And I dont think a little comment is gonna ruin all the progress we made, there is bigger problems that are actually destroying progress sadly but I get what you are trying to say.
@@str8apem88 also just checked the comments for a bit and I only see sweet comments and I think this video is better than all the ones I have seen before because she didnt only talk about the pain lvl but that its topical and not the deeper feeling it actually is, which is what I was getting at with my comment. And she never shamed him and let him be in control of the pain lvl, didnt see anyone talk about men being weak, only that its nice that he is understanding.
"Let's go up to level four and see what happens" *famous last words* "Let's do a period pain simulator on each other", she said "It'll be fun", she said
I have bad cramps but sometimes I get pain that I can't walk with and once we went camping and I was in the caravan trying to sort something out and I got the bad cramp I had to sit down for 5mins and my step dad called me a lazy b*tch... And also mocked me for having period... Some people just don't understand
Thank you Alessio and Jessi for this demonstration. This is the 6th I have seen and let me tell you the other women were not as humane with their partners. They also did not really get the actual demonstration followed by real understanding and empathy as was evident, and I am sure greatly appreciated by both of you. /Your biggest fan in North Texas.
When I had periods, they were awful, I took naproxen, midol, didn’t do anything. Mine were painful, but nothing to someone that had severe pain. It’s awful. FMLA should cover this to protect someone’s job and allow time off. All around it sucks.
Welcome to our (female) world, Mr. Pasini! Hello from Lima, OH, USA! I am very new to your channel and I enjoy watching your videos. I must say, I being a 58 year old female, this is my favorite video by far. I'm so glad you tried the simulator and got a small taste of what we females must bear every month. Thank you for the supportive and understanding words. Thank you for being so good to your wife. Take care.
I stopped my periods with birth control in 2017 and haven’t had one ever since lol I never ever want to go back because I couldn’t even stand up with mine the pain was so bad. Edit: people always ask me and yes it’s completely safe to do so. talk to your doctor if you have questions❤️ there are some doctors who like their patients to have a period every 3 months or so but most gynecologists go off the scientific fact that it’s okay to not have periods if you’re stopping them with birth control. A board certified gynecologist on RU-vid who does great educational videos is “mama doctor Jones” she has videos on periods and lots of other things🥰
It's completely safe? No it's not, see what happens to your body in a fee more years. Nothing that restrains the body's natural function is completely safe in the long run.
Thanks for that! I saw a lot videos of men trying this out, but they didn’t do everyday chores with it. I appreciate your effort. I respect your husband for carrying this out for longer time to truly experience life with cramps. I like that you and him tried this together first, so that you could also evaluate the discomfort/pain levels yourself. ❤ Some women experience less cramps while others have it really painful up to vomiting and losing consciousness. My own cramps are bad, but I got used. When I first got my period, I was confused if it should be that painful, because my mom was lucky to have it easy, no cramps, mild discomfort. I felt like someone stabbed me in the middle of my abdomen with burning hot rough metal bar and twisted that bar slowly. That’s how it felt to me and sometimes it still does to this day, though my sensitivity to pain and pain tolerance changed through time.
This is great. Kudos to him for being a good sport and also trying to do basic tasks with the pain. I still don't know how I live with it. They think I have endometriosis too so I definitely have very bad cramps and all kinds of pain.
I went through excruciating pain for almost 30 years and went through all the staring and glaring ...and comments , and bosses who didn't understand that it dans son painful i could sometimes faint if i didn't test or lié down in time... Sometimes i would have to go to work and let it happen hoping they'd understand. I haven't have my period since january 2022 and i am happy because i know it's probably over but i am happy that awareness is increasing and that things are changing for women. Btw mi piacono molto i suoi vidéos e la dedicazione e l'amore di Alessio per Jessi. Bravo e grazie!
Alessio's many facial expressions are hilarious! Thank you for doing this video. Every man should try this... I think women would get more respect if they did. I too had terrible endometriosis and I remember how bad the pain was. Hope you're not hurting too badly! 💜
It is commendable that he volunteered for this! It does help men understand & hopefully.... sympathetic to what women go through every single month! And that's if everything's normal! The women who have complications along with their period....go through much ..much worse! I speak from experience... having had an emergency hysterectomy when I was 32 years old ....because of those complications! 😵. Honestly I would go through it all over again! To have that hysterectomy at 32 years old.. because my quality of life went up 200% after my uterus was removed!
I love how you really tested the pain by trying to do daily chores to see how we women have to carry on our day whist still in agony.. I have endometriosis & been on my period is absolutely agony.. x
