In this live stream Matthew (aka ‪@EZBOT_‬) from Patchwerks gives us a thorough overview of the Erica Synths Perkons and makes some beats from scratch.
Perkons HD-01 is a device with four voices that can create hybrid sounds using both digital and analogue technology. Each voice has eight controls and can be triggered by drum pads with variable sensitivity. There are separate outputs and effects for each voice, and you can save up to 64 kits and patterns on the device, with more storage available on an SD card. The device also includes a delay and compressor, as well as an LFO for modulating sounds. It has a four-track sequencer with different timing options and probability controls, as well as MIDI inputs and outputs for connecting to other devices.

I wish that it had more than 4 voices like how Rytm has 8. For over 2k, one would expect that from a boutique high end drum machine. Still it looks and sounds fantastic.

DFAM is a completely different instrument though, it isn't even a drum machine. I say this as someone who loves DFAM to death and actually just stopped jamming to watch this video haha The two of them together? Woooooweeee I bet that would be wild. Might have to bug someone at Patchwerks to let me do that when I go in next hahaha

and Rytm better than both in terms of stereo, features, sound and more voices and better sequencer and user interface. Perkons is cool but should be 1k not over 2k.

@@GuitarsAndSynthsRytm doesn't have enough knobs. The genius with Perkons is you can not only control four voices all at once, but also have four sequencer tracks all at your finger tips too. With all Elektron boxes you have to switch between voices to control them, or get external controllers.

Rytm sucks. i had it twice and sold it twice. this thing is a hundred times more fun. also it sounds better. i despise the elektron filters. DFAM is sweet too.
