It’s important for people to continue growing vegetables, plant foods and fruits etc even while living as a carnivore. Our ancestors predominantly lived animal-based but grew non animal-based foods for the sake of surviving famines, droughts and plagues etc. The prepping community is basically just a modern version of pre-modern traditional living, which is also something everyone needs to be getting into. Even as a carnivore for 5+ years I still stockpile massive amounts of grains & fermented, canned vegetables as part of my prepping preoccupation-alongside hundreds of tins of red-meat, of course.

11 years ago I cleared a quarter acre for a food plot for white-tailed deer. Didn't take long for me to observe the soil in my food plot getting better and better due to the cover crop food soil building food plot seed. Meanwhile the soil in my tilled garden got worse and worse. An apple orchard was planted on part of the food plot for the deer. Fast forward 11 years and that food plot is a food forest and still welcomes whitetail deer. This quarter acre feeds me, and 10 to 20 chickens and turkeys and still functions as a white-tailed deer hunting food plot. Also located in New York in the states cold climate agroforestry

I am on 5 acres surrounded by hundreds of acres of industrial agriculture of cotton, corn, soy and peanuts. We are catching so much drift. I have been taking this for over a decade but with advent of information online and insight into gut health and microbiology, I realized that this was directly impacting my health and now it is just full blown some days I am incapacitated. They have bullied me. I tried to stand up for myself but the regulators are compromised. The drifters were fined but they just kept on drifting and threatened me, told me to move if I did not want their chemicals on my food.

I was vegan for 10 years and 3 raw vegan. Worked with nutrition and then food forest dreaming to eat all the food I grow only. Felt better than never in the first years. After 7-8 started not feeling as good and always thought the solution was fasting or being raw. Always thinking was just detox symptoms. Since 22 my baby born and started incorporating animal products. Since then the less I eat veggies better I feel. Still eating some fruits from the trees I take care in some of my agroforestry systems I’m here in Hawaii. I’ll be going back to Brazil to transform my grandmas farm and do regenerative agriculture with animal production too. Carnivore world is just blowing my mind and never thought was possible and now also ever thought it would make so much sense. Feeling back to life! It's interesting to see how my thought processes evolved in a similar way. I also started in tech and computers, but I never was into veganism or a vegetarian as it never made sense to me. I recently increased my protein intake and lowered my carb intake and most the beginning arthritis just went away. I only did 2 weeks full carnivore and reintegrated vegetables and carbs again for practical family reasons. However lowering my carb intake still does the trick for me. No more joint pain in the mornings and no more energy dips throughout the day. Anyways I've also been interested in permaculture but I never saw anyone actually addressing today's agricultural challenges with it. It's like a concept that works on a small scale but doesn't address any of society's needs when it comes to agriculture. So in order for it to work society has to change first. That's some wishful thinking. And that's probably why i see most of the permaculture folks making their money from teaching permaculture courses. With syntropic agriculture or silvopasture in the way Mark Shepard does it there are at least people who make a living not just from organising courses but primarily from what they produce. And that sparked my interest. Especially the focus on perennials vs annuals.

Also our ancestors went carnivore/keto in the winter/spring as their stored grains would run out. So its natural to go keto regularly, but not all year. If his veg-diet had been healthy, I dont think he would have gotten sick nor needed to switch to such an extreme meat-only diet. Like he said, you MUST prepare and process plants and seeds correctly to make them suitable to human organism as food. Sadly, those practices and wisdom were left out of massive culture for a long time. Good to see they are slowly becoming popular again, and also good to see we can save lives with a meat-only diet. We as humans are learning a lot, and the future is brightful no doubt about it. Thanks to you and your videos in part ❤ love from Argentina

Its interesting because I forgot where I read it, but Ernst Gotsch was saying something about how he advocated randomizing the plantings during a later phase of the system so as to soften some of the rigidity of purely straight lines. In other words, using the alley cropping as a means to organize the management of a commercial agroforestry system and then transitioning into an organically shaped forest.

@@patfarmer5371 My property is managed as an organically shaped forest...it's awesome, more beautiful, "poetic"...than purely straight lines...but I have to admit for commercial purpose it's a pain in the ...! Also it's difficult to hire someone to help on the farm! The system is so complex, there are so many "details" to pay attention to, to explain...! For instance "cutting grass" is never just "cutting grass"! Before the task you'll need first to explain something like "Ok, bro! Cut the grass over there...but if you see this plant or that plant don't cut them down unless they've already gone to seeds, and if the seeds are mature, then you can cut them down...oh! By the way, near that little pond there are 3 volunteer shrubs, remember don't cut them down!..."

I can imagine people being sick on vegetarian though with oils, eggs, dairy, and gluten. I always wonder, is it possible that certain people just thrive on different foods? After 6 years, I actually tried a little bit of meat since I'm living outside the US and just felt a little crazy and was surprised I didn't get sick. Also, it's really cool to see people diversify and further concentrate systems by incorporating animals into them. I love having animals manage disease, pests, grass etc for me because they're so much more fun to watch than pushing a lawn mower etc.... or finding a slug to feed the ducks is always fun@@byron.in.new.zealand. I like the brahman cows and they're always so helpful for material for the compost. Geoff Lawtown had talked about one time how in the lane ways all the manure and urine that is water soluble basically gets washed down in the rain in the next swale and then dispersed as fertilizer for everything on it.... so swales and animals is something I integrate here with syntropic design.... or at least I'm in the beginnings of it on one acre

Plant-based diets without having predators is crazy. They think we can feed everybody but it's the cause of population's increase! Autocontrol of population just means competition... We have to choose folks: 1) more plantivores = having predators or being our own. 2) more carnivores = low population by need. (The problem is the shift, because we are stuck in a spiral due to our long lifespan.)

Not all doctors would prescribe symptom targeted medicine. A simple blood check could have shown a B12 deficiency which is common among vegetarians, also among omnivores. Go to a nutrition expert, a carnivore diet is an elimination diet (that’s what why it makes you feel good short term), long term it could lead to colorectal cancer, cardiovascular disease and many more.

Interesting conversation - particularly the points made around plants protecting themselves with chemicals and toxins which reiterated the necessity to use more traditional methods of processing certain plant foods to ensure that they are properly digestible. These concepts are certainly missing in the modern diet which is full of additives, preservatives and toxic chemicals etc in a highly processed soup of injurious compounds - this applies whether you are vegan, vegetarian, omnivore or carnivore. My personal belief is that following permaculture principles is the way to move forward, I feel that syntropics fits into this well but is only a small part of the whole permaculture system of land stewardship, water management, food and shelter, community and sustainability etc. I do have concerns that promotion of a carnivore diet may feed ill considered decision making and unintended health consequences - especially amongst those who use it to augment an ego-based toxic masculinity complex (much like other fad diets over the last few years, most of which seem "first world", short-term and globally unsustainable). My personal perspective is that I do not have the right as a conscious being to deprive any other sentient being of their life in order to sustain my own (industrialised agriculture, of course, has unintended kill consequences, but significantly less for a vegan diet than for an omnivorous/carnivore diet given the majority of animals used for food are raised intensively on imported plant proteins) - I've been vegan for 30 years and was vegetarian for several years before that and this has worked for me insomuch as I am rarely unwell, have the energy to do a physical job and work on my property and the motivation to continue to move closer to a more sustainable way of living.

If you open the manual, the methods can call for upwards of 90% support species to start, and that number comes down as the system reaches maturity, but support spp. always play a part throughout its lifetime. If you dont often see the proper level of support spp. in projects these days I would submit that its because people like calling a standard orchard a food forest. Its much easier to just plant a block of fruit trees and call it a "food forest" instead of engaging in agroforestry/biomimicry to establish a proper food FOREST

"nothing taste as good as feeling healthy feels" This is good! I understand the dude, I mean, I think there ain't something that can be applied for everybody... no excerise, philosophy, diet, etc. So if he finds carnivore diet is ok for him, that's ok. About the discussion of agroforestry and animals: I think you can do agroforestry AND be carnivore, however this implies a re-design of the system, including the calculation of how many animals you need to survive on a daily basis (which is a lot! it's like 1/2 a Chicken a day if you are ONLY carnivore!), and how much food you might need for them (for 1 person you must have about 60 chickens all the time to be able to consume 1/2 chicken everyday... that's a looot of food!). One can also play with sub-systems to give for example protein to chickens/ducks/pigs: give some raw/green bananas to the chickens/ducks/pigs for carbohydrates, and let the rest ripe and rot and use them to cultivate solder fly maggots and feed them to the animals. Consider that normal agroforestry is very comfortable 'cause plants take care of themselves, animals don't. It would be cool to let them be like "in the wild" as we do with plants, but they need things that humans should provide like shelter. Maggots are a great solution for protein, but you cannot just let them grow on the floor, you need a box or something to not let them dig too much in the earth and be out of reach, and you have to feed them steadily, so there is another task in the process. The animals should be able to move, but also must have some restriction, otherwise they might disturb the forest way too much, like pigs (eat all roots), chickens (dig too much in search of worms, might disarray the biomass lines) or rabbits (eat all the grass!). Ducks are great, but one should also provide some minimum of water all the time. Last but not least, now that the animals are part of the system, one has to be careful to take the feces of the animals (and yours!) back to the system. I've also been thinking about the possibility of bringing animals into the system (not just to eat, also support animals like birds and bats to control bad insects), and so far, I think it is possible, but the management is tough! Anyway it's an idea worth exploring. ps: take a look at the profile from @bodeiro_ovelheiro, he has experimented a lot with sheeps and agroforestry

teeth coming in crooked and rotting out started with food agriculture 10k yrs ago. yes we can eat Some plants from time to time for survival but if you'd like to thrive.....meat is what humans evolved to eat. I've tried many diets to solve health issues. First book was all about juicing and live enzymes. Eventually read EAT RIGHT FOR YOUR BLOOD TYPE. This resulted in small changes for the better. Tried keto with even better results. But by far, once you try Carnivore it becomes so obvious that meat is proper human food. If your fruit is imported from Tropics in the middle of winter than its really unhealthy. Every element have different isotopes and each region of the world have different types. Example Isotopes of oxygen in the water molecule is different in tropics than in temperate, which is one of the major reason why animals do not survive if you release them somewhere else with a really different climate. There is a whole science behind electrical and charges of the atoms of each element. Saladino is an opportunistic person who would do what gets him "views" to learn more about nutrition you go to Prof. Bart Kay. He is a NZ based former professor who is really knowledgeable.

Our bodies are NOT alkaline. We get acidic if we eat too much. The pH level of the skin is acidic the urine is acidic, on the other hand the cows eating grass are alkaline. they ferment their vegetation.

@@TheVigilantStewards As an Indian I can tell you that India from the days of early civilization was a meat consuming society. They only changed recently by force through a decree. It was Asoka the emperor who converted to Buddhism and implemented this "satvik" diet. This diet is the most unhealthy way of eating. the result is in front of anyone who can see the factual stats. 50% of the kids are stunted and 70% of the population is malnourished. So sorry to say its a diet to create undernourishment. There are people who are doing carnivore for 40+ years and entire tribes eating nothing but dairy and meat.

Vegans often use conflation when attacked. No we don't reject their choice of food but them wanting to impose it (in particular with shame and guilt). Omnivore people are not speciesist, but vegan theories are "differencist" for sure! If they want to evolve towards our species separate in 2 according to digestion etc, they can do it, but respecting the other side of the species! All animals are speciesist and favor their own. It creates the biodiverse balance we know! And animals are not as violent to their group as vegans can be... Please if you are vegan and tolerant, stop using the word vegan for yourself and warn about the rupture of human to human relationships! Thanks 🙏

God gave us an omnivore digestion system. After the flood, Noah didn't have many vegetables because God cursed the ground. So through toil and the sweat of their brow they had to grow vegetables and fruit again. I can see how they had to eat some animals until they could grow again and God allowed meat eating after sin entered the world.Vegetables have been tainted and hybridized for the almighty dollar.

I would also like to add that if the 30% of the world go carnivore and instead of growing crops for us, we grow animals and crops for animals, the following industries will go bankrupt 😅( I have a big smile think about that scenario) Ha Ha - Plastic Ink for plastic Transportation Preservative producing companies plastic part of hydrocarbon sector The giant agro-companies that make machines for grain farming The medicine industry. our oceans will be cleaner, our air on earth will be less polluted, the kids will become taller and more develop quickly by the age of 12 if not 14..... Monumental changes will come. The anti nutrients in the grains bind the valuable minerals that our bodies require and is passed out of our digestive system,

Yeah like those milions of hectares of chemicaly sprayed fields of grains to make bread aren’t part of deforestation. Or all those market gardens fenced off for wild life are so helpful for nature. I suggest you look into Joel Salatin, Gregg Judy, Gabe Brown, and Allan Savory with holistic management. Throw some syntropic agroforestry in that mix and that’s the way foreward l’d say.
