If you have an alarm or want to keep it original the option in the video is't possible. But there is an adapter the connect to the swich to turn the system off, plug and play, send a message for info.
Hi, was/is this long-term solution for you? SOme say in some model battery will go dead (because no standby for the car without this sensor) - so I want to check with you, please, is it long-term solution, dont want end up with battery dead. Can you please answer?

Before that I let the switch hang loose. This way the ecu think the hood is open and therefore auto-off does not work. That's is the bottom line of this mod. Unless you have an alarm, then this would also disable youre alarm.
If you disconnect the wire you get a fault light. If you manipulate the switch zo it thinks the bonnet is open then auto/off is disabled without a light on the dash.
This is not safe , i think that if you disable this you could disable somthing else that you dont think about for example (maybe i'm not right but...) air bags or other safety control system
You state it's not safe and then you come with suggestions. That's not smart. Facts please. Therefore the switch and cables are made from such bad quality that there should not be any crusial items depending on it. Airbagssystem items are always yellow by the way. So stop guessing.
I agree with Alon. Safety systems might not work as designed, so does the battery management. That is also the system connected to the start stop function. Many cars will not go in deep sleep when the hood is "open". Have you had any battery problems after the mod? Any fault codes on the chassis computer?
