Yea he did. Maybe it's bc In the anime and the Arena game, Yu talks a lot more and since he voices them both, they probably would've sounded too similar.

@@Baconmutt Thank god he did because it just doesn't work. Johnny's voice range is very heroic/faux heroic in magnitude. He's only capable of playing characters that sound like good guys. It just doesn't work for Adachi IMO. It's why in Arena he sounds more nasally and slimy. Because the original VA does. He's meant to sound like a deranged goof.

You can hear JYB whenever he's a protagonist he sounds like Yu as Hajime Hinata in danganronpa 2, he sounds like Yu while dubbing Lio in the Promare dub

I think he sounds a little more sly in later releases.

2023 checking in here, and I absolutely agree. His voice definitely lends an eerie yet charismatic vibe to Adachi that really nails his character, and his transition from "eccentric bumbling detective" to "crazy fucking bitch" is really well done

Tbf Yosuke was literally about to throw the supposed murderer into the TV so he probably didn't blame Yu all that much about trying to reason with Adachi.

To be fair, Yosuke knew that Narukami and Adachi had a close relationship. So he could guess that Rise's words about sticking together as a group wouldn't really... stick.

Adachi and Yu are the same type of people. This is represented by the fact that they share the same card, The Fool. This is the only case in the whole game of two people having the same card.

Probably because it's our characters fate resting in the hands of a mad man a single wrong move and nobody will discover the truth everything that you fought oh so hard for is now threatened and balanced on the edge and that along with the music gives you rush of adrenaline as the character teeters on the edge of death.

Because you see the arcana screen so many times throughout the game getting used to it but this time it subverts what you're used to and thats cool in a meta kind of way

at this point, if you dont go, you cant max his slink. but earlier you could max his jester s link by protecting him when you discovered he’s the culprit (accomplice ending), but you wont get the good/true ending.

Gun damage doesn't exist till persona 5....hah

I agree, they could have done way better with the dialogue. Some people don’t seem to think so, but in my opinion, leaving so little opinions that boil down to one mindset becomes a detriment when you are supposedly trying to write a protagonist whose “personality is shaped by the player” instead the choices we get are the same idealistic kid that Adachi is exactly calling out to. It makes Adachi seem smarter than what he actually is, if the game wants us to project our personality into the player you could have had Yu make some reasonable or intimidating points, or at least have him question more things about adachi’s plan like what the commenter wrote above here. I would have like to see something like “Your chances are very low, you can’t win against all of us.” Or “This will only end embarrassingly painful for you” (As the player acknowledges this is just an adult having to be put down by a bunch of kids). Or maybe more intimidating and clever like what the people are commenting here “What happens if I shoot you here? “Do it pussy, I have repel physical’ or “You can’t, deep down, you are just a coward” yeah, yeah, I added the “pussy” just for comedic effect. My point by writing all this is that I think this encounter is a bit lame in my opinion, I wish it could have been different I suppose. I really wish WE COULD ask him about Nanako, and since the player is written more sympathetic in this exchange then maybe we could have gotten something like asking him if ge really wanted to hurt her or what he thought when she actually did get hurt, or what he thought about Dojima and the played all along. Maybe why he was so fixated in Miss Yamano, the first victim in the first place would have been nice. How the FUCK do you have such an OP persona?

He changed his voice slightly since og p4 I mean he has voiced the character a lot since then, subtleties in the voice tends to change over time as one gets used to acting as a character. A prime example is spongebob lol If you watch a clip of SB from seasons 1-3 and then watch a clip from season 10 the voice is very different even though it’s obviously the same VA, Tom Kenny.

Get Adachis Jester arcana to level 6. After that you can't get it to raise even though you could technically meet him. His arcana will raise automatically (first time visiting nanako will make him go to 7)after guessing that he's the murder and all that jazz Yu will ask himself if he should visit adachi

he revealed his true self unlike the accomplice ending where he still maintains a facade

It starts as Jester representing Yu's initial impression of Adachi, then shifts to Hunger when he realises what he's really like.

It's december 7th in the game.

You have to get him to rank 6 before November 2nd, after that, the social link progresses with the story up until this point, where you have to make the decision to go inside the TV yourself

Nope. Only the day where you and the gang go around town to ask for info, if you choose to suspect Adachi but defend him then that's when the bad / neutral ending triggers. I'm one month late but I hope I can be of help of curious people out there,,.
