For the next few weeks i will be showing some of my vintage razors to hopefully inspire others to take up wet shaving.
Not just vintage straight razors but other DE and SE razors in my personal collection. These razors inspired me to try them and hopefully it will inspire you one day.
Some say the "DARWIN" RAZOR IS THE "Holy Grail" of safety razors and i agree it is quite an invention.
Invented before WW1 by a German guy Paul Richard Kuehnrich (pronounced Keenrick) This razor had many key safety features and still shaves smoothly due to a fully adjustable "Wedge" blade.

That's a fantastic invention for sure. There must come a point where stropping the blades is ineffective, so how easy are they to hone on stones when that occurs? Nice to see some of your collection too. T

Just like any other wedge blade. You can screw the handle into the side of the blade and re-hone as you would a normal blade. I did this operation when i first got the razor as they were only good for buttering your morning toast when i first got the razor. There was mold inside as well so i had to dismantle the whole thing and restore it back to a usable condition. Worth the effort though.🍻
