Hell of a coincidence if not. Without even knowing about the history of the Hawcroft family as a child i was given a straight razor one Christmas at the local church...i was eight years old. I asked what it was? A straight razor made of blue plastic for the handle and yellow/gold plastic for the blade...just a toy. Only the last few years after specialising in this field did i discover the "SHIVVERING BEGGAR". and that i was born just around the corner from Sheffield in Oldham, Lancashire. There are plenty, plenty of HOWcrofts but hardly any... minimal names of HAWcroft, very rare indeed at the time. Begs the question, where has my skill with razors come from, certainly not from my immediate family. My Brother has the family tree going back to year dot, but unfortunately we do not get on. Carl (brother) is a complete narc and has to be avoided at all costs for ones sanity according to the NHS as was our deceased Mother Eunice. She died in 1997 but was not related to the family history, but influenced weaker people like my brother. Maybe i should start a family tree of my own, but it takes a lot of time. Maybe one day.
