Julie is learning how to keep her head when all other lose theirs. This skill is usually learn through sports or military service. Young men are fleeing from both. As an 62yr soccer referee, players and their families cannot comprehend how I do not get upset when I'm yelled at during a game. In some cases, seriously threaten. i tell them i spent 11 years in uniform being harassed by professionals. Also sent most of my life around railroaders, sailors, and longshoremen. Soccer spectators are amateurs.

Minute 5:20 thru 6:40. I second Dennis's comment about Julie. She ooozes kindness and compassion. This characteristic has been obvious since the begining of Dennis and Julie, when I subscibed two years ago.

Hi Dennis and Julie, my sister was part of a twin of which one was still born. Growing us my sister was the favourite of both my parents, maybe because of losing a child. My sister grewup to be a very unpleasant person. So, neither the loss of a twin and being overly loved had a good effect on her.

Judith Moore I love that Julie has mentioned the plight of women in Afghanistan! And in many other Islamic states. Women are so controlled by men, to the extent they have no choices in life. I refer to career, what they wear, often they have to cover almost their whole being, as if invisible. Indeed we take everything for granted, and still complain constantly. So to acknowledge the reality for vast millions of women globally, it's so sad how most have zero gratitude to the many blessings we have.

I have a hypothesis as to why victimhood is as rampant as it is. People crave validation and praise. If you recieve one or both by means of accomplishment, it is mutable as there is always someone doing better than you so you are expected to not only maintain but improve in order to retain merit. On the other hand, someone in the dumps can wallow in their misery and will recieve sympathy and pity. They aren't expected to do better because we are taught it's unkind to judge and while there is always someone worst off than you, we are taught it's unkind to compare struggles. Conclusion: Receiving sympathy and pity cause an endorphin release similar to that of receiving validation and praise but doesn't require the work, perseverance or merit. When you accomplish something, you lift yourself up. When you're a "victim", others lift you up.

Yes, I remember Krauthammer on Fox all the time. I just thought he has asthma or copd or something because of his labored breathing. When dennis brought up his story years ago on the radio I was shocked 😲 Krauthammer was so even keeled, poised and wise. God bless his son for following in his father's footsteps, being an author and speaker. Your father was a treasure trove of wisdom ❤😇

Remember watching a documentary on Krauthammer that aired on FOX shortly after his death. The most incredible thing about him is that when he had his tragic accident when he was a college student, the man never even missed a semester. He just kept forging right ahead to pursue his dreams and never allowed his physical handicap (paralysis) to stand in his way. Remarkable man.

Jona and the whale: \\\when the Pharicees asked Jesus Christ for a sign, He told them that the only sign that will be given them was the sign of Jona - that like Jona was three days in the whale, the Son of Man will spend three days in the earth. The disciples remembered this at the ressurection. Congrats Julie for knowing and remembering this.

Goodness comes from the hatred of suffering. If one doesn't care about the suffering of others(all living beings) then he/she is not a good person. They might think they are, but they aren't.

Julie, I heard this video this morning & thought of you & so I also suggest that you listen to it with an open mind & heart, it only goes for 16 minutes from Eric Metaxas & Larry Alex Taunton talking about what actually makes a person a true christian according to the Scriptures. I think it is the best answer I can give you & I pray that the Holy Spirit opens your eyes to the truth. The subject of the video is actually - is Jordan Peters a christian? I happen to agree with these two men because I read my bible & listening to JP speak I knew immediately, that he doesn't have a clue & that he shouldn't be preaching from the Scriptures as he is only giving HIS opinion - NOT GOD'S opinion.
