Here's a cover I made for the #GITDContest celebrating 30.000 likes for Perturbator's facebook page.
Everything was recorded using an acoustic cello with two mics. No effects were added except compression, EQ and reverb.

What amazes me is that a cellist decided that he wanted to make his own version of Raw Power. The cello wasn't the last instrument I expected, but it definitely was not the first one I thought of!

Perturbator and many others are absolute synth magic and its electronic purity can't be matched by regular instruments, just the way synths are, the same goes for the opposite way round, can't really do what orchestras do with a lot of film scores using electronics but this is great and I imagined a whole orchestra doing this together, bloody awesome.
