It sounds like the attorney fees wiped her out and she's now on public assistance. (I mean not too many people have $35 or $40 grand laying around) The girl who falsely accused the son should have to pay back every dime that this mother had to spend, and she needs to spend as much time in jail as the boy she accused.
@katec4096
@katec4096 2 месяца назад
She said she did not have the money. It looks like she was divorced and is now on public assistance with an emotionally damaged older son ( to say nothing about her own instability). While she should have tried to work something out with the investigator, I think she was too unstable to do so. She freely admitted to owing the money but was too overwhelmed by life to do anything ( she was initially away to look after her father when this happened, I wonder if he passed at that time too). She should have gotten a lawyer to sue the girl who falsely accused her sons of rape to get back all the money she spent on lawyers, investigator, pain and suffering by her sons, etc. That is the true culprit.

@@VladmirPoopN She clearly had emotional problems after 2.5 years of being scared her sons would go to jail for rape. One was held in jail for a time period and thus was suffering from severe depression. Imagine worrying that your son might commit suicide because of this situation. She was just so overwhelmed by life and was trying to hold herself together to take care of her children. Even Judge Millan asked the detective why couldn’t he just let it go. She must follow the law but could see how completely devastated the mother was. The one that should be paying for all the costs was the rape accuser. If not, her parents should. My stepson was falsely accused of rape at age 15. He had consensual sex with a girl the same age. He didn't really like the girl but he was a15 year old boy. The girl did like him and a day or two after the encounter she had her friend call him while she listened in on the phone. He wasn't nice when questioned about the girl. After the friend hung up the phone the girl was mad and went and told her mom she had been raped to get back at him. He was arrested and jailed and charged. He lived with his father 45 miles from our home. My wife and I rushed to the jail to see him. We got his story and believed it to be true. We got a lawyer and met with him and the prosecutor who refused to believe the defense and he refused to do any investigation. My wife actually investigated and found multiple people she had told that she was lying to get back at him. We went in front of the judge to try and get custody of him until the trial and we even agreed to be responsible for any and all of his behavior. The judge denied our request out right stating he was a danger to society. He spent 5 months in jail even spending his 16th birthday locked up. As the trial date neared the prosecutor finally called the accuser in to prepare for trial. After talking to her it was clear that she was lying and we were called the next day by our lawyer being told the charges were getting dropped. No one ever apologized, our son dropped out of school, he was afraid to go back as students who "believed all women" had made threats to him through his friends while we was locked up. He lost all direction for a while but luckily, almost 9 years later, he is married with a young son and although he has had some issues for sure he is on the right track. The girl wasn't prosecuted and as far as I know the judge still sits on the bench. There's justice for you people.

I know this is a really old case but I really hate it when the judge asks a bunch of questions and digs deep into people's personal business, talking about things that have absolutely nothing to do with the case in front of her. The case is about the guy not receiving payment for his services, period! Not every single detail about the case that has already been tried and closed. But I guess she does / did it for ratings.

The worst part of that girl's behavior is that it hurts those who have actually been assaulted. The victim should always be believed, but stupid girls like this one make it hard for the real victims. All because she went to a party without her boyfriend's knowledge and wanted to justify her cheating. She should be held accountable for the damages she caused.

Defendants defense is I didn’t pay him just because? Lady you need to become a better parent and your boys better young men . She got off cheap with this investigator, Jim Rockford he isn’t but he did get your sons acquitted and for far less than what others would have charged. Your boy’s father needs to take some responsibility for his son’s as well , there’s more to parenting than just paying for their wrongs!

When I was 17 I was falsely accused of rape. A guy at school and his long term girlfriend had broken up, and we started going out over the course of a month. We went to movies, hung out around the house, and probably had sex around 7-10 times in that span (hormonal teenagers). At a certain point I didn't want to continue seeing her. She was angry and tried to get back with her ex, who at this point had found out that her and I had slept together. He did not want her back because of this. She became super emotional and angry and told him that it wasn't her fault and that I had raped her. I think she thought that he was angry that she even wanted to sleep with someone else, so that was like her way of saying "No I didnt want it so it's okay and I only love you". Word got around school and it was very difficult for me for a few days. Eventually an administrator heard and called us into his office (kind of weird if I were a rapist to have us both come into the room together in hindsight). She broke down crying and eventually said it was a lie when he communicated how serious it was of an accusation and that they were going to take legal action against me. Luckily I was fairly popular at that point in school and the majority of people didnt believe her, including her ex boyfriend (whom I am still friends with). There are people to this day though who I went to school with (mainly her circle of girlfriends) who still think I did. Rape is bad. It's so bad that even false accusations of it cause problems in peoples lives. This piece I just relate to because I can see a desperate teenage girl trying to deflect responsibility by using rape accusations as a weapon to try and minimize their own poor decision making.

Can't agree with harvey on this one. Acquitted doesn't mean innocent in a lot of cases. By prosecuting accusers, you are telling people that it is not ok to avail themselves of the legal options when they believe that they have been wronged. If you can prove intent to falsely accuse, that's a different story, but there has to be a high standard for that prosecution too. You can't just use an acquittal to prove that allegation.

I hope that's a girl who accused her sons how to pay for damages in went to jail. I wish that was the law for people who lie about this type of situation. Because for people like me who've been through that situation is not a laughing moment. It's not fun, it's really serious. It stays with you to the end-of-life. Everything you talk about think about and stuff like that. You think. In a way, because you've been through something. I don't wish that or no one and being the fact that I am a mom to a girl, my mind is always racing of what could happen. So that girl who lied on that lady's son needs to pay her parents need to pay for teaching her how to lie that way they need to be. In jail, not her parents but that girl needs to go to jail. I don't care if she was young. I don't care that it's disrespectful for anyone, male female kid or adult to lie about rape
