My dog was my best friend, he unfortunately died a few days ago on Easter due to unnatural causes. I’ve been feeling so guilty because I’ve been away at school for months and haven’t been able to see him regularly…I just hope he knows how much I loved him because he never failed to show how much he loved me 💔
I'm sorry for your loss I hope you heal I feel every bit of your pain My kitty Adore was a very good cat She even saved my life like legit she woke me up before I could had a Stoke in my sleep which led me to be alive today She only lived with me for a few months I know I was a bad parent to her I kept neglecting her I wish I rather stayed in home than going to private classes 5 days before she died it was my bestie's bday I was leaving with the cake but my kitty ran upto me & meowed so loudly as if she was telling me not to go I wish I stayed with her I wish I did better I wish I stopped her eating that lizard which led her to her death I couldn't be with her at her last moments I know my baby waited for me she passed away right at the time when I come home but alas I couldn't come home that day I couldn't say my goodbyes I couldn't hug her for the last time I miss her so much just so much that I still can hear her loud meow for not letting me go My family hated cats on beds I wish they loved her as much as I do so today probably she would've been alive they laugh at me when I cry about her loss The night before she died she was on the bed my mother screamed at me scolded me so she got up & went down despite being so weak by the poison She was a very good kitty I hope I can meet her in heaven one day R.I.P. @@sweetheartxd9457 Ok, listen to me right now, I feel the same guilt about my guinea pig and his passing, but I was lucky enough to be there the night he passed. I had no idea, I was just going in to check on him a bit early, and found him acting abnormally, I got lucky, and I'm so glad me and my whole family was there for him in his last moments. But It's s not like you knew this would happen, and it's not like you had much of a choice. I doubt you left to go to class because you wanted to be away from her. If she understood why you left, sure she would have missed you still, but she would realize that you were doing what you needed to. The fact that you feel guilty shows that you care. I think she knew that you cared for her, that she was loved even when she couldn't be with you. Remember that. She wasn't with you for long....but I'm sure when you were there, you made her feel loved, and that's all any animal could ask for!
im so sorry for your loss, i think the guilty feeling after losing a pet is the worst feeling ever. But think like this, animals are way better than us in forgiving and understanding, that is their magical talent, and im sure your baby knows that you love him and he loves you too. unconditionally. Same my dog died yesterday and I'm also away for college, but I always go home every weekends or any chance that I can. I'm not ready to go home yet because my heat broke whenever I imagine going home and not seeing him. He always waits for me in the bus station together with my brother whenever I go home, and now it would only be my bro😢
A car ran over my cat while I was at school today. I was already having a bad day and it just broke me down when I got the news. I can’t live with the fact that I won’t be able to call her name when I get home ever again. Now I have to go to school and just get over it for the sake of passing my classes. every day for 2 years my cat would greet me after i got home from work, and yesterday i got home and she wasn’t there. i was a bit worried but i figured she was out wandering around, after 2 hours of being home my sister told me she came with bad news and instantly my stomach dropped and all i could think about was my cute soft paws, and i was filled with dread, she takes me to my cat and she had passed away, even though i was looking at my cat, it didn’t feel real, the cat i had cuddled with in cold nights and had fun teasing, was now gone and i could never ever talk to her again and she will never be there to greet me after work again, i will never hear her voice ask for food. or her meow of when she wants to be let in. i’m so sad i don’t know what to do, i was in a daze all day today at work thinking about her, and for the first time in 2 years (since the time she was a little kitten) she wasn’t there waiting for me when i got home from work, i felt alone, and depressed. yesterday i buried her, it was the hardest thing i have ever done, i loved her like a daughter, and for most of the time i was crying and saying my goodbyes, i kept touching her fur since i would never be able to again. i didn’t want to bury her, but i wanted to give her the respect she deserves, it was so hard, i still can’t believe she’s gone, i feel like she might just be waiting on the other side of the door waiting for me to open it for her to come in and start asking for food. i can’t believe it and i don’t want to believe it, she was my daughter.

Had to put my baby to sleep yesterday....I had 15 years of love and happiness but it still did not feel like it was enough. My son, Growler, died three days ago when I had to put him down. He was my closest friend and I miss him so much. There are no words to describe the pain and only one comes close: hell. My cat,Mama cat died after getting a lump on her chest which made her breathing harder and harder each day.She was brown and her fur was smooth and silky.The vets had to euthanize her so she wouldn't be painful.During the shot she was screaming and then afterwards,she was looking at me very lovingly and passed away peacefully. I lost my dog on 13/05/2024. She was 3 years old. Both my dogs(male and female) had loss of appetite. Diagnosed with Tick fever. The female puppy couldn’t make it. My 15 year old shihtzu was put to sleep today (01/06/2023) and tonight (first night), i feel like my soul has been ripped apart. I just keep getting glimpses of his suffering and I feel guilty that he wasn't put down earlier. I just feel like the world suddenly lost its colour. I don't know how to keep going on. Our pup of nearly 17 years just passed away yesterday. He walked over to us and appeared to nap in the company of us, but it turned out he just stopped breathing. My cat got ran over by car yesterday, seeing her little body lying there broke my heart, I wish I could turn back time and save her. Her and I were really close, she followed me everywhere, now I feel empty and alone. I still have my other cat but she wasn’t as attached to me as that cat, I love the two of them so much, I never expected something like this could happen to me. She was such a beautiful, happy and smart cat, never hurt anyone, I hope she’s happy wherever she is and I hope I can meet her again one day

My cat, Mini, died today due to a snake bite. I didn't know what to do since there was no pet hospital open at that time. I hoped to take her in the morning, but when I woke up, my mother was crying beside Mini. My mother loved her as much as her own child she named her as mini because she is small in size . We miss her so much. 😞

I just lost my ginger buddy. He was really big and really fluffy! He lived for a long time. We pretty much lived to the same age (I’m a year or two older than him) so I really did just lose someone I’ve been with my entire life. He survived so much including many fights and getting hit by a car. On the last day that I saw him, he stayed with me and I just sat and talked to him. I gave him cuddles and he meowed back in response to me. I vividly remember the first time I met him. He was a kitten, but not too young. I remember seeing this ginger little guy sat looking up at me. Toddler me bent down to him and we just locked eyes. Since then, I’ve loved him so much. His death was quite unexpected, so I was so shocked. I’m currently bawling my eyes out because it’s just so sad that I’ll never be able to give him a hug again.
My dachshund passed away suddenly from congested heart failure a week ago. Her sister passed away a few months prior. Once her sister passed, she barely would eat and no longer wanted to do things she used to. I truly believe she died of a broken heart because 6 months ago the vet said her heart was strong with no issues. Rest in Peace my sweet Winnie. Mommy loves you 💗

To me, pets are not just pets, they're family members. My 2 doggies passed away, a father one passed away on second day of Lunar New Year (few years ago) and a child one passed away before Lunar New Year in this year. A father was sick and for some reasons a child one...😞. I still miss them, cry everytime they show up in my mind, hope if heaven is real, they 2 are happy there, and to Lucky and Shorty, a mother one - Cream is ok, she misses you really much, poor girl. Our family cat passed away yesterday of old age. We feel terrible, like we weren't able do enough. He was waiting for us under the bed. My dad called me to take him out. I managed to do so, but after meowing twice, he stopped breathing. I had known him since I was born. The house feels really empty without him. 10 whole years of love and joy ended here. But I know that he is in heaven. His friendly attitude and spirit still lives in the house. I hope he will visit us soon. I love you Kitty. Let God bless you.
My little sweet dog of 3 years old died this morning. She smiled at me calmly before passing away. I feel so empty inside. I hope she knew how much I loved her. Tomorrow I will go bury her in the woods with flowers because I am too poor to have her diagnose for cause of death. Maybe soon I will adopt another dog after, I feel like it can be my 2nd chance…and also in order to fill my empty heart once again.

There was this cat that lived at my grandmas house not too long ago, I created a special bond with her and ended up calling her Athena. I prepared myself telling myself everyday that I could and would lose her any day now. A few months back she went missing and I’ve no lost hope in ever finding her. I still sit outside my grandmas house hoping that one day she’ll somehow come back. This video and the comments brought me a tiny bit of comfort knowing I’m not the only one going through this.
My beautiful angel is going to sleep today. He was always the one who used to follow me around everywhere, my little pal. My whole family is devastated by the news. He wasn’t even meant to be part of the family, we were only going to look after him for a few days until he could be rehomed but he won all our hearts with his kind nature. I’ve lost pets in the past and it doesn’t get any easier but it does make me feel better to know I did the utmost best I could to make them feel loved and safe while under my care. I have hope I’ll see them again someday, so it’s not really goodbye. Nothing lives forever and I truly appreciate life thanks to my pets and all the responsibility that came with it has made me a much better person. So don’t grieve for what has to happen to us all one day but be happy they were part of your life for a time. If our pets could talk, I’m sure they’d say thank you from the bottom of their hearts for every ounce of time and love you shared together. ❤

I lost my Brownie 8 days ago and until now I am still crying. My husband doesn't like it .He said we have 8 dogs at home why are you crying for Brownie. Brownie has kept me company in the office. He slept with me in the office and he was there during my struggles with those stressful documents that I was able to submit several months ago...I really miss my Brownie...still crying..can't hold back the tears...

My Cat also unexpectedly died at the age of 13 on Tuesday (18/10/2022). The cause of that was his Osteoporose, which we didn't notice until he jumped of the bed and landed bad. The Osteoporose then blocked the nerves in his spinal cord, which made him unable to move his lower body, hold in his pee, etc. Because of that he also has gotten bad blood circulation, which can lead to heart failure. (This happend on Monday(17/10/2022) at 11PM) We went with him to the Emergency Vet, where they wanted to put him down. My Mother disagreed as she wanted to get a 2nd Opinion at our Vet, which we wanted to go to on Tuesday Morning. (at around 10AM) He sadly passed away on Tuesday at around 3-5AM on our couch because his Heart stopped beating while he was asleep, which the Vet said can happen. We have noticed his death when we woke up and wanted to check how Lucky is doing. (Lucky is the Name of my Cat) We buried him at his favourite sleeping spot in our garden. May he rest in peace
I lost my sweet boy yesterday. His name was Happy. And he lived up to his name. Not only was he always happy he made US so incredibly happy. To his last second he made sure we were ok...he gave us kisses even while being in pain...im not ok...but i know god and my grandparents and other pets i lost throughout the years are with him. My Princy left me on 12th September. She was like ur kitty. White furr mixed Persian ,round eyes,very bubble. She was only 5months. When she got viral infection, she was sad but cooperating wit the treatment. She wanted to live but couldn't make it. Died infront of me on hospital bed. I don't have any other cat but i lost a precious gem. Don't know how to overcome this. It's too hard for me .
My cat died on September 5th. I’ll definitely try to spend more time with future cats. Her kidneys suddenly failed and she didn’t show any signs she was dying or even slowing down except for her last two days. She was about 14+ but acted young. I didn’t expect it to be so sudden I wish I would have held her more. I know for a fact pets go to heaven though if they bring you happiness. When I was putting my cat down I was annoyed because I couldn’t get the song amazing grace out of my head. Guess what the opening song that day in church was? Amazing grace. Also the readings were about the lost sheep (I haven’t believed in god for a while) Heaven would be boring without animals. There is no way there aren’t animals. I prayed for a sign she was in heaven and got one. Sorry I don’t mean to sound too pushy I just wanted to share
My cat, who was 20 years old, died today, just around an hour ago. She was with me for literally my entire life, and was the mamma cat of the house. That baby talking cat was so adorable! My 19 year old cat died recently. There were long painful memories of her suffering before her death. I want to do what I can to remember her in her prime, when she was healthy and spirited, snuggly and playful.
Thank you for this video, I just lost my dog today due to his age, he can't eat, walk or sit down comfortable like he used to when he was young. My parents and I have to make a difficult choice to...either seek medication or put him down. But it's hard to see my dog in and suffering so much so we have to let him in peace and it's hard to say goodbye. I always remember how much good time with my dog walking, eating, roll on the grass, clean his paw and kinds of stuff for almost 12 years from puppy to grown dog and later his end of journey...I want to say it's a fun life with him and I'll try my best to keep on living without sadness and keep active for his sake and mine.
It’s been almost a year since my dog Jax died and I still think about him so much, he was my dog since I was 2 years old. I feel so sad and helpless for anyone that’s watching this video because something has gone wrong, I lost my cat today, she was a very gentle Himalayan cat. She was succumbed to death by panleukopania virus,she suffered so much and when she was on her deathbed she called for me with her tiny little paws with that oxygen mask on her face, and as soon as I held her hand she died within 10 seconds, it’s as if she knew it was her last and she wanted to have me by her side when she passed. When my cat Snare passed away I didn't feel ok from December 25th to early January. When I wasn't crying I was either on my computer, asleep due to crying, or going out to just hug my family. I had Snare for 12 years, had him since he was only 2 years old he was 14 years old and losing him the day before Christmas hurt like heck! I still remember the day I had to make one of the hardest calls I had to ever make. Snare was losing weight, his ribs were showing and I knew just how fast an old cat can go down hill cause my sister's cat Zephyr. I didn't want that to happen to Snare, I made him a promise that I would do everything in my power to make sure that he had a better life then he would have had with his other owner, his other owner wasn't nice to him. It was no one else's call but mine. My other family members, like Aunts, Uncles, and Cousin knew I loved him. One of my cousins as soon as she got the text from my older sister telling everyone what happened actually went out to Walmart to find something for me. She ended up getting me a grey and white cat plushie, it looked almost like Snare. I ended up naming him Snare Plushie. It's been 2 years since his passing and I still don't remember what all I did besides crying, sleeping, crying into family, and playing on my computer. One thing I do 100% remember is a dream that I had of him in January. I just kept asking God to make sure that he was ok and he answered it. I was in my mom's computer room playing on the computer, I didn't have one of my own at the time, when I felt something furry touch my feet. I looked down and there he was. Snare looking up at me looking as young and healthy as I remembered. His light green eyes shining as brightly as ever. I just smiled, scratched his left cheek and watched as he closed his eyes, leaned into my hand, a smile appearing on his face as he began to purr.
My baby bro finally rest after 20 years with me. He passed when he was wrapped in my arms. I am still grieving and I dont know how long it would take. Thank you for this video. I truly appreciate it. I will watch it again to cope with my grieving process.

I have lots of regrets, I should've spent more time with him and I should've treated him better and paid more attention to him. I feel so terrible for days now. It hurts so much. 😭
My cat died a few days ago, and I've tried really hard to not think about it. But I just can't, I miss my Olive a lot. (Olive was my cat's name) Thank you for this video. I can start to heal and not dwell on the pain.

Today, 2 days before my birthday my 8 month old cat passed away. He's the sweetest child. Never bit me intentionally even once. Always sleeping on my lap. Always greeting me every morning and happy to see me whenever I go outside. It was only 5 months we spent with each other but it's still painful. Rest in peace best friend.
my cat little died yesterday. he lived a pretty long life but it still feels like it wasnt long enough. he died very suddenly and right in my lap too. he was the smartest and most affectionate cat ive ever met and i will never forget him. i try to be grateful that i could be with him through all of his 13 years but the loss still hurts so much. its so quiet without him

My guinea pig has passed away this morning due to miscarriage, her babies were also died. She's my first guinea pig and we have been living together for 3 years. She's really pretty, friendly and big eating. When I got home, she always approach me with her loud squek and big smile. I remembered she was breathing hardly and looking at me, I didn't know what should I do and I just petted her until her last breath. My precious cat passed away at October 6, 2023 at age 18. She was having difficulty getting up on her feet and trouble breathing. The moment I saw her behavior, I took her to the vet immediately. The doctor informed us she had respiratory distress, fluid in her lungs, dehydration. Then, my fear came true, and it was a very hard decision for me to choose. It was very painful to see my cat go. When she ut to sleep, I haven't cried this hard since high school. For the past 17 years, she was like a daughter to me and we took care of her very much in great health! The last thing I wanna do for my cat is to cut off her thick fur ball for free, which is very pricey these days, so I took my time cutting off her fur before taking her to the vet. Kiki 💔 2006-2023
Just lost a cat that's been with us for 17 years. Now for the first time in close to 22 years, we're without a pet and the house feels so empty now. I'm struggling pretty hard right now because I was too weak to be there for the euthanasia. I couldn't even bear the weight of bringing him home to be buried... I just feel so damn empty now that he's gone and I couldn't even be strong enough to be there with him.
My dog I’ve grown up with died today he had to be put down due to skin cancer and he was just in too much pain but oddly enough this video helped a lot I still miss him but i know he is happy now
My dog Bibi had to be put down yesterday morning. She became rapidly ill over a period of only a few days and we didn’t know what was wrong. We ended up finding out that she had cancer and that her immune system was actively attacking her own red blood cells meaning she wasn’t getting enough oxygen throughout her body. We originally wanted to opt for a blood transfusion but the process of getting the blood she needed would have been too late. I’m glad she’s at rest and I hope she’s just as sassy in the afterlife as she was here with us.
My Rocky was like my son I took him to the vet every couple days for two years as he struggled with kidney disease I had to put him down seven months ago as he was suffering I miss him all the time It does get slightly better in some ways with time but when I think of him I miss him and begin sobbing If you read this please pray for me and my dachshund son I miss so much
I feel horrible, my pet cat named mittens who only lived to see 3 months died from licking the poisones flea medicine put on her back, I felt like it was my fault, I chuckled when she had a sesiur as if it was funny because I didn't think anything bad of it at the time, I then cried in my room with her shaking body telling her I hope she's ok, she then died at around 2:00 am as I was the one who found her dead body, I feel so bad and always cry every night but I do have a new cat named waffles and I hope she lives a long happy life. The stray cat that I fed, pet and walk everyday is died today because any stone heart people open their house for him. Even my parents don't let me to take him in. So he died. He was my best friend. We've met at a huge earthquake. He found me and I found him. We hug each other and wait until it's totally safe. Until today, oh lord i cant.

I lost my Baby boy tiny last night. My cat. He was way to young. He was struck by a car and I cannot cope. I loved him so much. He was here with me through my depression and its so hard to let him go. I have his collar on as a bracelet. I've cried since. I had to put my baby, my cat, my best friend, my daughter, to sleep two weeks ago due to cancer after 17 years. I still feel the pain of loss. While everyone else seems to have moved on... my heart is broken, and I can't go a day without thinking of her.
My pet chicken died today, this helped alot thank you, especially how people don't care much for chickens and just told me "its only a chicken" but she was smarter than my dog, could do tricks and was potty trained, i miss her
I Iost my childhood dog 4 weeks ago on Christmas Eve, even though dogs are now widely accepted to be considered family, I still got the "it's just a dog" treatment. The people didn't say that directly but we were told by a handful of people to just bury her in the yard and get it over with, rather than spending money to get her cremated which is what we wanted (and did do) so we can bring her with us if/when we move houses.
I really sympathize with you this past summer I lost my 2 year old chicken Henrietta that I had since she hatched and it just really hurt because that day I knew something was wrong and that she wasn’t going to make it so I just held her for hours until she passed away.
My 9 month old puppy passed away on Sunday (November 19). I was absolutely heartbroken and devastated. I had let her out to go potty and wasn’t watching. She was missing for 4 hours and we found her body in the forest. We had to bury her and I was in tears because she had only been a baby. I might go to the doctor and get checked out, I still have the images replay in my head and constantly cry from time to time, it was my fault. ❤
Nobody would wish that to happen. I understand. I lost my boy, too. I know you feel guilty for not doing something but it is what it is no matter what. Their time is borrowed and we have to give it back. Just be happy that s/he let you be a part of their lives. Eventhough we know deep down we will miss them everyday.
We had to put our 4 year old husky down Monday night. Her blue had had gone black and I thought maybe a cat scratched her or something and was preparing for the worst case scenario being they’d have to remove her eye. Turns out her platelets were extremely low, like 10k when they were supposed to be 175k and was causing her to hemorrhage in her eye and the other one was starting too. It was so insane because she had just been playing and happy hours earlier and she was still so bright and happy. She had a high fever and they said it would be 10k at least for them to treat her but due to many factors they were not confident she would make it and if she did they would have to have her on steroids that would negatively affect her liver and other organs and if that worked they would have to wean her off of them and she would likely end up in the same position again. I feel like it’s my fault and maybe we should’ve tried but our vet said she was in pain and very sick and we made the decision to let her go. I haven’t been able to eat anything. I have a toddler I care for and I’m struggling to play with her and care for her as I normally would and I can tell she knows something is wrong.

I want to tell you! When my dog Princess passed away, I went through all of this madness that this video describes and that was no fun! And, the worst part, the memories of your pet never leave you. So, the sadness, while yes does fade, but it never truly goes away. While I have another dog now, the memory of my other dog was no fun at all! You'll actually feel like crying and you'll feel like that you want to bury the dog's bed, toys and one time, I actually wanted to burn the dog bed. The sadness was that bad. I know this sounds like something from a movie but it is real. I had to get counseling. Luckily, my adoptive sister is a therapist but it still...that was not fun at all! This is what I recommend. When getting another dog, get one of an entirely different breed from the other one. That way, you know that you can truly move on. If you get another dog the same breed, the sadness will continue to hurt. So, be very careful about getting a new dog the same breed as the one that passed.
My dog of 15 years is getting put down later today. She is older than I am and I’ve been with her ever since I was born. Even though she is still here for a few more hours, the pain I feel already is unimaginable. I received the news not that long ago and it hit me like a bullet. I will never ever be the same, and there will always be a hole in our families hearts.
my dog was only 2 years old i miss him so much its not fair i just can do it my heart huuuuurts he died yesterday his name was legend he was drinking the pool water after it got shocked when we saw him we stopped him and started staying outside with him but it was to late he got really sick for like 2 weeks puking then on the 15th he lost movment in his back leggs i layed with him and told him it was going to be ok and i gave him a kiss and the next day i didnt see him i was really busy im 15 so im not an adult btw anyway i didnt see him the whole day but the last thing i did was hug him and kiss him but when my mom picked me up from work she pulled over and prepared me for when i got home i walked him and my little brother was screeming in pain of loss i looked and there was my dog he was dead i cried for an hour over his body my baby was gone i called him legy i didnt get to say goodbye and confort him while he passed but i kissed his head and hugged him i know he was dead but it was my final goodbye im going to miss him and unlless you have lost a dog before you will never have felt the pain when my freind told me her dog died i didnt understand the pain but now i understand he was so yound but i will always remember walking him playing fetch sneeking in his kennle at night i love him so much no dog should die that young i wish i could bring him back but i cant its only the day after its probebly been 20 hours idk but my other dog doesnt understad yet im going to get a dog when im older and name him legend jr i cant beleive this happened it was so sudden and i just wish there was somthing i could have done but he had a sensative stomach and got poisened i am so sad i just want to let this out becase my best freinds doesnt understand neither of them do they havent lost a dog but i know whoever is watching this video understands and im sad to see how many commets there are becasue that means that that many peoples dogs died over the year and all the likes on this video i am so sorry for the pain anybody else is feeling
my 3 year old husky had to be put down yesterday after getting hit by a car the day before. her brain injuries were too severe to save her. she bolted out the door because she wanted to play outside, her life was cut so short. she was so good for a husky, so gentle and she never barked. i just feel so sad, especially since we still have our goldendoodle, her best friend, he now has nobody to play with. im only finding comfort in the fact that my last memory with her was playing at the dog park the morning before the accident. she was so happy and loved

My son Filemon (on my profile pic) died today. It was very unexpected, 1 am he felt very bad and the next day he passed. Before it, he was healthy, full of energy, young (he had almost 2 years). The doctor said it was because he born very weak and he had heart problems and it had to happend. I know it had, and im glad that he passed calm on meds, without pain etc. But im so sad cuz i couldnt give him enough attention because of cats who were in my room temporarily, for few weeks and i couldnt sleep with him for at least the last time. I just still cant imagine it happend, it was so shoking. I will paint him on my bedroom wall so he'll be always with me. Filemon i love you so much.
