There was no timestrech when Pete made this joint. S950 and sp1200 do not have it. I was really looking forward to seeing home you got the bassline.. cause I've tried filtering it out from the song unsuccessfully. When the bass first kicks in on TROY you can't hear horns.. but I can't get rid of them.. I thought maybe it was due to my using the CD remaster of the track.. and maybe the original LP had the horns panned to one side.. but I haven't heard the LP to confirm it. Pete made magic here for sure.

Nice work. There's one guy I always refer back to when it comes to the T.R.O.Y. remake & that's DJ Shoji. To me, he has the closest rendition of T.R.O.Y. than anybody!! check him out!! He has other remakes on his page too. That 93' Til Infinity, damn... whew!!!

Ummm, where is the bassline? You buried it. Gotta solo it out separately, low pass filter accordingly, and ride it separately from the original sample. Maybe a slight touch more swing to the drums. But real talk, still great work!

Jim Ligon I get what you're saying, but everything has a time frame on it. Rock included, it's called classic rock, 70s rock, 60s rock. All alternative for old school. When I record bands, they classify the sound with the time-frame. Same with country, they have phrases for their dated or rather non correct material as well.
