The MAIN INGREDIENT was Pete Rock's best work🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤👌🏽
@Mar.Escobar24
@Mar.Escobar24 Год назад
Mecca and the Soul Brother was more solid as an album, but Main Ingredient had better beats. It seems to me that Pete Rock just got lazy and didn’t care to make a whole solid album unless it was solo, so a lot of the beats on The Main Ingredient sound like throwaway beats. The only ones that stick out to me are, In The House, I Get Physical, Caramel City, Take You There, and It’s On You. Everything else sounds like Pete didn’t really care about it. That’s just my opinion though.

@bboy264 The Sun won't come out that's a crazy joint. That's one of my favorite albums brotha. Both albums are dope I wish they had one on the way in 1995-96. They should've had another album it's just a perfect classic hip-hop album in 1994. The problem is it wasn't pushed properly what do I know I was a kid at the time .
@Mar.Escobar24
@Mar.Escobar24 11 месяцев назад
@@traviscarter1023 I wasn’t even born when that album was made but I compared it to other work by Pete Rock and it just doesn’t seem as solid as other stuff he’s worked on. Plus his beef with CL and how they split up right after the album just seems like he really half assed it. I hate Escape just because of how random the Ramsey Lewis sample is. E-40 did it justice with Hope I Don’t Go Back, but it seems lazy with Pete Rock. I love the album tho and I have that one on vinyl but there’s definitely a difference between that and their first. It’s only how I feel about it though.

@bboy264 Yeah we feel a little different but there is a difference between both albums. I use to smoke alot of we to the Main ingredients album and the song Escape and It's On You also Get On The Microphone . The Main ingredients is one of my favorite hip-hop albums along with Illmatic. The production on the album is some of the most pure sound you got the intro and outro. Instrumental going into songs. In The Flesh where do we begin with that song. But I respect your opinion because you are a real hip-hop head by the way .

Pete! My boy! This is old Delroy from the Bronx! The reason you can't remember making that beat is because Puerto Rican Dave made it when we were crashed out in the basement that time i brought the Wray and Nephew over, you woke up and didnt even know he'd made like 3 beats, overwritting flippies youd already labled, I'd of stopped him but I was so faded an he wasnt hurting anyone homie.
