How can anyone reject the truth god have mercy on us all

The witness (in Greek, literally "the martyrdom") of those who encountered the risen Christ is - to my mind - by far the most rationally persuasive argument to support the exceptional claims of the Gospel - the exceptional claims of the good news of a great victory - a victory of divine mercy and justice that alone is capable of redeeming our fallen world. Perhaps with the exception of John, every apostle (messenger) who encountered the risen Christ was stripped of his or her weakness and doubt was thereby transformed into an evangelist willing to sacrifice his or her mortal coil in order to become a sign to the world of the transcendent, salvific validity of the promises Christ Jesus. Amen!
