Great singer. Not a lot of kids in my generation, todays kids, listen to 70's and over. I'm glad I'm one of that small percentage who can appreciate a great singer when I see one. I prefer older generation songs more then this generation since the older ones have deep meanings. Just an amazing singer and song.
love to me is giving someone the power to destroy you but trusting them not to. hard to find these days but great when its there ^^ Peter's and Chicago's love songs are some of the best imo
One of the best singer-songwriters of any generation! Too bad he's getting so old now...but his music will certainly live on longer than he and everyone else here.
One of the quirky things I've always enjoyed when Cetera sings is how he drops certain sounds when he pronounces words in his songs.Love him one of a kind. American treasure
I remember seeing him a year ago. He sang this song with a local band IN THE ORIGINAL KEY. It really amazed me that he can still do it. Shame I difnt have my camera with me that time. I know its harder for him to do everything in the original key at shows like this due to his age. Well he proved that he can still hit those high notes without doing major shows
H234234.Nice comment.Alot of singers today could never put a live performance like this on.I love his songs i like the glory of love at same concert. This is a true class performance and alot say he is not as good as the orignal. The man is like fine wine.
"You're gonna hear it without vibrato as well"...kiddin'-love his voice-but it does make you wanna hear the original Foster production again. Thanks for the post, pica!
Actual truth about Peter Cetera leaving Chicago was that he had done that many years in the business, he was knackered. End of. He wanted to try and take a bit of pace away and enjoy life for a bit. Don't rule out a reunion, but don't get your hopes up. Only one person can make it happen.
This song was featured in the movie "Summer Lovers." Just search "Summer Lovers" and select the 3rd video down that begins with Peter Cetera. Then at about 2:32 into the video you'll see where the motorcycle comment comes from. Enjoy! :D
Sorry Peter,You have lost it.....we from the 60's are upset you forsake the band...yes..you miss Terry...is this not what this song is about?Wow..when i just said this....God , how i remember this
Didn't mean to sound harsh, Scheff can sing, but Cetera has a voice that is so distinct. When you connect a song to a sound, you can't just change. It's the Journey syndrome, Pineda to Perry.
