Peter Dinklage has the most screen time of any Game of Thrones Character and he deserved every second. The trial of Tyrion after Joffreys death was one of the most beautifully written monologues I’ve ever heard.
Man even watching HOTD it annoys me that it all led to 2 poor final seasons. Especially infuriating that HBO offered to do more seasons of GOT which would’ve allowed Danaerys arc to atleast be fleshed out, they also butchered Jon, Varys, Tyrion, night king etc

Even when he tells Jon to wear his b-stardness like armour you can just feel that he's putting his own experiences so deeply into it. Loved Jamie and Tyrions bond in the show 💜

Its wild that Andrew has no clue that the first four seasons of Game of Thrones almost follow the books plot lines exactly. Most of the best dialogue you hear from Tyrion in Seasons 1 and 2 is taken verbatim from the books. Dan & Dave don’t deserve that credit, its all George RR. Martin.

I love when they were talking about 9/11 and Peter is very clever and quietly says "something's in the air" and then Schultz comes through like a bulldozer and says "LITERALLY!"... Yes, yes that was the joke Andrew. Peter might be a little too smart for these guys. lol
You don't have to overcompensate by exaggerating on the compliments you give someone just cause they're considered disabled that's patronizing af. If you actually watch this show you'd see that they bounced off each other on the same level in terms of banter & jokes 🤦🏼♂️

He wanted to balance the two, but he chose the wrong strategy, because in many situations he should have sacrificed his family life for the good of the kingdom. This struggle elevated his character in the show so much. In the book Viserys is one dimentional (since the book is written in history chroniclestyle). Martin said himself that Paddy Considine's Viserys is better than the one he wrote.

I got into flagrant way back but in recent times they keep doing this kinda thing and it always seems like the guest feels like they need to chuckle at lukewarm jokes that just happen to say something wild.

I really really want to talk to Dinklage about the concept of disability as a character on GOT and also as a person with cerebral palsy i really felt watching it that it was a critical analysis of the way disabled people are treated today Also I have always wanted to thank him and tell him the scene with his brother Jaime about him being the only one that didn't treat him like he had a disability and thanking him for that, every disabled person wants to have that conversation with someone like that or has had that conversation in their head or otherwise.....the disability theory that was explored on the show was nothing short of groundbreaking and amazing and thank you, Peter, for bringing these things to the populace thank you for your art
He makes me wanna watch his character in GOT again! Like his acting in that series is just too good! Hands down the best character as well. Nobody could have done it any better.
@@sonofvenus1621 almost every time he finds something really funny. He goes for the leg grab, catches himself, then pats/grabs the couch instead. Mostly in the first 40 min or so, but toward the end he forgets and starts doing it again. Peter never seems to notice

Yeah, it got old after a while. Also, giggling like a 12 year old boy when Peter said Trans and the whole "women drivers is funny let's say it 20 more times" made me turn this off so quick. Very unprofessional especially when Peter Dinklage doesn't do a whole lot of podcasts like this. Like if you're going to make a joke about women drivers or Trans shit, maybe take some inspiration from Ricky Gervais who can do it without coming off as a douche. Definitely not watching this channel again. You guys had a prime opportunity to expand your audience with this interview but for me this was a huge turn off.

You know him from GOT but go watch The Station Agent. About 3 strangers, 3 very different people, all going through some sht and finding friendship in eachother. I drove out to the middle of nowhere NJ to see the train depot Peter's character lives in. One of my all time favorite movies.
This is random but I've heard of this film just a few days ago from my bf and he said I should check it out because it's a good film. Had never even seen a trailer before and I love watching movies so that was cool that we found this movie thru the podcast

I really appreciate Peter Dinklage. He is so talented, smart, thoughtful, insightful, and wise enough to NOT engage in conversation about politics. Most of us are there, (whether it be film, television, concerts, etc) want to be entertained....not pandered to, or told how to feel. I love and adore this man so much. (Edit: i neglected to mention funny and witty as hell.)
I lost respect for him when he got 7 human dwarf actors fired and replaced with non-dwarves in the upcoming snow white movie because he felt "offended". He basically pulled the ladder up on people who needed it the most.
