It seems it’s still a whole lot of Framption fans around and still loving his music, despite his known condition the man is still stroking and playing his guitar 🎸 fabulous for us old kids
It was thought lost in a plane crash for 31 and a half years and he was reunited with it after finding out that it still exists. Thank you Donald Balentina from Venezuela for making it your mission to get the guitar back in the hands of Mr Frampton.
Compared to the original live version this is truly right up there with it. A genius. A man who needs to more recognition. He's heading off the road for good because of issues with his hands. Truly an end to era.
Damn it, I hadn't heard that. I'll have to find the story. I wonder if he's still touring, your comment was 2 years ago. So sad if he's not, what a great live performer.
Don't get me wrong I am a crazy huge fan but his sound is NOT THE SAME as it was in 77. I play guitar. I think he sounds too "Processed" now. Back then he was using tube amps with rotating Leslie speakers. A very raw "Real" sound. Maybe he still is using tube amps? But his sound is different. Back in the day he had a wonderfully unique double chorus on his treble. It was a unique entirely identifiable "Sound". It was his sound. I could pick it out anywhere. Like on Lines On my face lead solo. He doesn't sound like that anymore. Or maybe it is just these shitty RU-vid videos with bad sound.
What???? These overly extended endings are horrible. The ending on DYFLWD 76 is clean,.. and absolutely EPIC. Nothing is wasted. One colossal statement. TO THE POINT!!! He draws it out too much now.
Love to hear Peter music it sound so good and clear 🎉🎉Peter has a good talent of playing ahis less Paul guitar 🎸 and singing his song s do you feel like I do. His hold band sound so good .Mr philip Dewayne robinson ❤️
In mourning over his farewell tour being over now. NO one will ever be like him. First time I saw him was 1979 when I was 17. Can we all donate even $10 to his research fund for Myositis? (through John Hopkins). Let's all donate at least $10 for Peter's 73rd Birthday this year!!! It would add up
TOTALLY!! It drives me nuts. I absolutely love this song but I like it when Pete plays ROCK leads like the old days. When he defaults into Jazz leads I just GROAN.... ooooooooooooooooooooooooooHhh… Uuuuuhhh!!. Please don't mix two styles. It doesn't work.
One of the greatest but never got the full plaudits that he deserved IMO. WOuld have been great to have seen him play a set at Glastonbury legends - sadly I believe that he isnt enjoying the greatest of health these days... 😞
Seen him with the Doobie brothers .he was not even close.i have been to a lot of shows in my life time. Always stay till the end.we left after he was on .he stole the thing he puts in his mouth from Joe Walsh.from the James Gang
@@kalejoe6599 Oh Yeah. I liked it better when he used a rotating leslie. I am still a huge fan but think he sounds a little too processed now. I like the growl and grit of 70's amps and analogue equipment.
@@roquefortfiles I have to agree with about that 70s analogue gear, in the Rig that I am designing I've got an old Boss CE-1 and a GE 10, a mid 70s MXR flanger and phase 90, 60s Fuzz Face, Uni-Vibe and Octavia and an EP-3 echoplex for a bit of Delay, I'm trying to it simplify though and keep in mind that as of now I'm designing it and hopefuly the Amps will be 68 Marshall Plexi and a Trainwreck.
@@roquefortfiles it seems like he's using pedals to get is main distorted sound nowday's, but back in 76 he was just cranking the Amps and the sound of a tube amp being pushed into distortion is a lot more harmonically rich and gritty, but I try not to judge people if they want to change their setup/sound.
Love the song but his drummer plays it TOO SLOW!!! This needs a 4/4 beat. Not a 1/2 beat. This song needs a bit of pace to it. The best version is Oakland 77.
