I said it in '76, and I still say it now... this is my favorite Peter Frampton song, both versions: electric and acoustic!

Long haired kids made the Seventies, this song is a handcrafted bottle of wine that was made in era where kids surfed; skated; and truly cherished the music that this great composer; musician; and all time legend who still makes us reminiscence of our childhood memories. Thanks! Peter for this incredible video for our new generation to truly understand the meaning of true music. Keep playing Peter like it's still 1977.

It’s now 2024, April, and this song still rocks it. Saw him in concert at Madison Square Gardens in NYC one summer, somewhere around 1976 or so. The stage moved in a circular motion so the entire audience could get a frontal view. The show was amazing as he was very popular. We took the train intoNYC from OysterBay, Long Island, where the train ends. We lived right across the street from the bay and the train station. Great summer. We tripped on LSD all summer long, every day.

The emotional lyrics and beautiful guitar playing makes me appreciate how incredibly talented Peter Frampton is. I don’t think there is anything better than this beautiful song. His playing on this song just pulls at my heart. Spectacular version of a classic.

Wow, this song is as powerful today as it was when I was in 7th grade. I am 53 years old now, and it's timeless gems like this which remind me of the power of music. Kudos to Peter.

In 2019 my friend told me he had an extra ticket to see Peter Frampton in Concord, CA. I had nothing else to do, so I went along. As 23 yr olds we were on the younger side of the audience for sure but I can tell you it was honestly one of my favorite concerts ever. I was very touched by this song in particular. It makes me a little sad not growing up when folks with this kind of talent were in their prime.

Beautiful song, beautifully played. Peter Frampton is one of my all-time heroes, since that day back in 1976 when I was sixteen years old and got my "Frampton comes alive" album.

Glad I found this video of this song. Found the lyrics also and followed them as he sang. This song is so heartbreaking yet so rich. “Lines on my face, while I laugh lest I cry….” This statement alone is profound…..and so very meaningful to me right now. Peter seems to have a light and free spirit yet he, as all of us, has had to deal with life’s pain. Amazed and impressed. It’s great to rediscover a master in his old age. Thank you Peter.

The Tacoma Chief Peter is playing is a timeless guitar. I once had one. Sadly Tacoma was bought by Fender who killed the company. When my oldest son graduated from high school I told him his graduation gift was any guitar on the wall. Of course he chose the Chief. Although he has never admitted it he pawned it, Damn...my favorite guitar, I wish I still had the one. Of course I will never bring it up with him. Life goes on.
