How can you not like this guy? Friendly, humble and a great musician. I cried when he got his guitar back.

Peter is an another level person.

You just have to love the stories and how Peter smiles when he plays!

Every interview I watch with Frampton he comes across as such a great person.

Always such a pleasure to hear from this man. No pretenciousness. No attitude He always seems very awed and honored at the things that have happened in his life. One of the few guys besides Kossoff and Kath who I'd actually love to talk to.

One of the highlights of my life was seeing Peter Frampton live in 2018 before his Finale Tour. It was a very small venue, about 350 people. I walked to the stage, which came to my knees to check out his pedal board, and his guitar tech starts talking to me and shows me his rack setup and gives me some guitar picks. Peter played awesome that night and his band was so good. I’ll never forget it.

I've watched many videos of Peter now and he always come across as a very lovely man and very passionate about his art with no sign of an ego. ❤

Humble guy.

Peter seems like the type of guy you wish you could just ring up and ask: "Hey, if you're not doing anything do you want come over and jam a little bit and maybe tell some of those stories?"! Grateful I saw him play at the Clapton Festival last fall here in Dallas.

That Red Les Paul ‘Lucy’ he’s talking about has passed through the hands of John Sebastian, Rick Derringer, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Peter Frampton! Now that is a legendary Guitar.

I was honored to run sound for him in Nashville doing an acoustic gig. It was so great hearing him do his big hits by himself on acoustic guitar! Never missed a lick and sang his ass off!

I met Peter once at Apple where I was working in the early '70s. We had a well stocked kitchen on the third floor with an enormous fridge and anybody could help themselves for a snack. Peter came in when I was in there and wanted a cheese sandwich but he is not that tall and I remember he asked me if I could reach the cheese on the top shelf. There you go, a really important piece of rock history! But seriously yes, considering the number of so called rock stars that were always in and out of there he was one of the nice guys, 'Humble' turned out to be appropriate. Of course George was one of the best too.

Seems like a happy soul! Who has enjoyed the hell out of all his interesting creative encounters.

Great storyteller. Never met him but he seems such a genuine person. He'd make my top ten guitarists too.

The man is a legend ...and what a lovely guy......in my top ten players in the history of guitarists , Pete is right up there.

I´m 58 now and I still remember very well about Frampton's music in the seventies...Frrampton comes alive was a blockbuster...thanks a million Peter ..you made my days at that time and I'm forever in your debt !

Peter Frampton is a great storyteller and a magnificent musician.

Mr Frampton always comes across as a very modest, humble man. When I look back at my teen years, he and Boston, the rock group, were the “Beatles” of a young guitarists dreams. Hendrix had already died and the Beatles had already broken up, but Frampton with his talk-box and Boston with the Scholtz electronics boxes and brilliant songs really spurred a lot of us on into the garages just as the Beatles had done in the 60s. Thank you Mr Frampton for your hard work and effort in the face of teen hysteria and label execs (?) trying to push you into a teeny-bop, five-hits-per-year-type pop star mould. You are one of the most melodic soloists of the 20th Century imvho ... your licks never sound “nicked” - they always sound original - always. God bless you and keep you healthy and safe. He is such a cool guy, I'm not even a fan of his music but I'd love to hang out and jam with him

My father was in a band when I was a kid, and I grew up with some really great music, but Peter Frampton always stands out in my mind as one of the first guitarists/musicians that stood out to me....(other than my dad). Stevie Wonder is another artist. I miss the 70’s.

I was fortunate to meet Peter while working backstage at our company’s annual award show. That was many years ago but I remember it like yesterday. He was such a nice and unassuming man. Before that moment in time, I saw him perform live at our local halls during his tour support for THE live album. And only a couple years ago we saw him perform during his last tour. Great shows performed by an extraordinary and gifted man.

I could listen to this for hours. Was sad when it ended. What a rare and special guy Peter is.

Met him back in 2014, got my "Frampton Comes Alive" album autographed.

Every time I click on a Frampton video I just want more and more.

Fab video, thank you. I was lucky to meet Peter, David, Carlos and most of the crew at an afterparty on the Glass Spider tour in Melbourne. Must have been late '87. We ended up in the piano bar at the Hilton and the tequilas were flowing. I remember David and Peter trying to play the theme from The Sting on the grand piano. David was under the piano on the floor, head facing up with arms and hands arched up so he could play the bass end. Peter was laying on top of the piano doing the treble end. Hilarious. They must have done it a few times because they actually got it right. Haha. Great stuff. Funny and very excellent guys. Big and very memorable evening for me.

Per Wikipedia, and the record label for the song, "Stay" was not written by Doris Troy, as Peter stated @ 1:35. Maurice Williams wrote it when he was 15 years old after failing to persuade a date to stay past her curfew.

Growing up I think everyone under 30 I knew had Peter Frampton Comes Alive. You went out for a cruise on weekend nights every 3rd car was cranking that album.

We saw Peter Frampton along with Gary Wright in 1976 in Lakeland Florida. One of the best concerts ever for the 2nd Encore Gary Wright came back out and they did a beatle's Melody.

I had long heard the story that Jimi owned a Coral Electric Sitar. Nice to know that it ended up in Peter's possession. I met Peter and have hung out with him a couple of times over the years at The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Really nice guy. It was a thrill to meet him.

Amazing story regarding George Harrison this would be an incredible thing to watch two brilliant artist playing together for the very first time.

Agree, Peter Frampton is as humble and modest as you can hope for in a superstar. I liked him during the 70's and onwards. But really, really like his humble persona. He comes across as a real lovely man.

I don't know about you, but when I go back and listen to the music that he's referencing, it doesn't necessarily sound 'better' but I do enjoy it more from know the backstory on its creation. There's nothing quite like increasing the personal value of your music library.... for free! Thanks, Pete.
