When I heard this song this morning, I was laughing, victory dancing, and crying tears of joy for so very many reasons. @PeterGabriel, your music has been the beacon for guiding me on on my spiritual journey for the last forty years. I'm grateful and excited to be flying to Ireland to see you, then closer to home in Vancouver. 🕊Joy
I am lucky enough to have had a brother 11 years older than me, who recognised my love of music and so I was listening to really good stuff from the age of 3 in the early 60s, He introduced me to early Genesis with Peter Gabriel et al - and it has been great to follow all the original band members and then their solo work. This track is awesome. And I love real musicians!!! I hate drum machines - my body just does not like precise rhythm - love drums and base - but it has to be that of real people with the perfect which includes the human pulse (which is never 100% on point). Fantastic. Look forward to hearing more. Sincere thanks for the music and the joy you continue to bring.❤
Hello Peter, I think that covid 19 lockdown has been a blessing for you, your creativity and connection with nature and mother earth and father sky are similar to Mozart,Bernstein and Mahler, keep it going..hugs Fiona
I was fortunate to see Peter, the band an experience this song live in Munich - great piece of art. Thank you your work and the joy you bring to the world through your music!
Omg! This song is brilliant! I know we all add meanings to songs but for me this is going to be my anthem. After breaking free from a high control religion I'm certainly back in the world and on my road to joy! Thank you Peter for your inspirational work over my lifetime ❤
😅 thank you Peter for the resonances!… right on target again. As one having come out of hormone & radiation therapy during Covid, surviving and newly finding the love of my life… not only was this song a revelation in Stockholm the 31st, now it’s a fully realized balm on my grooving soul 🎊 🎉 Thanks for your being, and your productivity. I bow in gratitude 🙏🏾 ✊🏽🐲✨
I just love this song!! I'm so sad that I won't be able to see your concert because you won't be in Virginia 😢. It's too bad I don't still live in NY. I could go MSG. Thank you so much for sharing your talent, Peter. We all Love your music 🎶.
I'm SO sorry, I won't make it to Hamburg on June 12th. I gave my ticket away as a birthday present. If you should read this, Peter, please give a big shout out on that evening to Frank Thiess (sp. "Frank Tease") from Per Krutke (sp. "Pair Krootke"). I've been a fan since 1986! - You're The Best, PG! ❤

"ROAD TO JOY" sounds like a Tune to get one READY for the 'Start of the Day'! Thank You for Explaining its Background and Influences creating This! Most Appreciated!!!
The song is so fresh and the sound is just top notch 🤍 Seen Peter libe in Krakow and will never forget it 🌎 i/o seems to be a brilliant album so far! The live versions of the new songs were wonderful.
Peter. Thank you for coming back to sing. We are very happy to see you sing and talk to us. This song sounds wonderful. I wish you could invite all members of your group Genesis to sing all together, to laugh all together and feeling alive and happy all together with us and earn a lot of money and we too. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, all of you. Wonderful job!!!💛🙏🇦🇷
Road to Joy is wonderful! I love listening to it and enjoyed hearing Mr. Gabriel's interpretation of it. The art is truly amazing as well! Mr. Wei Wei along with Mr. Gabriel have made a great team in this venture. Perhaps they shall meet again and come up with more exciting projects in the future. 💖
This sounds so good! Got to see Peter Gabriel years ago, just over 30 years ago second row in Orlando did an amazing Biko encore, extremely important and moving experience ❤
I had the pleasure of attending the concerts in Paris, Berlin and Zurich - together with my sons (26 and 24 years old). It's great to see that wonderful music always remains wonderful music, even across generations. Peter Gabriel and his incredible talent have accompanied me for more than 40 years, and I have conversely accompanied his work over this very long period of time, that is, the very greatest part of my life. Thank you for many wonderful moments - thank you for your work Mr. Gabriel 🤗
❤❤ tellement ... belle harmonie musicale qu'elle qualité musicale technique...bravo a tous ❤❤ merci pour cette recherche scientifique et musicale merci
I saw you in Copenhagen on May 30. Half the concert were new material and usually, as a listener, you want something recognizable, something you know and can sing along to. But my my, this was a different experience! All the new songs were SO AWESOME! Even though it was a sitting concert, it made you want to get up and dance. Peter's energy, the band, really reached people! I couldn't help but sometimes stand up and just DANCE! Thank you Peter, this was one of the best concerts I have experienced. I really hope to see you again ❤️🙏🎶
i experienced memory/identity loss thru a TBI in 2017, and the journey you describe within this sounds familiar. This song and concept both resonate deeply--thank you for sharing the Road to Joy with us.
❤ I saw the 🍓 Moon really clear last night. Love 😍 you Peter. I was jamming Return of the Giant Hogweed and you look the same. A little older. The expression on your face has never changed. Fascinating!!! 👍✌️👌🤘✨️🌏✨️💖
Peter, I’m commenting on all of your recent videos. Saw you in Dallas tonight and you changed how I feel about aging and how to navigate now. I love the new music. Just wow. I’m still processing.
Love the way these tracks are being presented one by one, makes you listen to the whole album and appreciate it track one by one. As a piece I think this album is fast becoming one of the best and well worth the 20 year wait. Is it possible in a future update to confirm if the intent is to release up to 12 tracks this year, so one for every full moon in 2023 ?
Just saw the tour last night and of his new material this might have been the biggest highlight. Also, Ai Weiwei was in the audience that night and Peter had everyone applaud him for his great work, both for the album and the show (which was amazing) but also of course for his broader body of work and what he has stood for.
Absolutely love this song! And I think this is one of my favorite full moon updates-love seeing them working on stage behind you and really love the footage of you working the song with Manu and not sure of the person behind is and then Manu and the orchestra. Really interesting to see those little glimpses into how you work. Also was sort of shocked (funny way) when you gave ‘the finger’ lol in the comments here is sounds like it is part of the show? For those reading, check out Tony Levin’s tour diary-there are fabulous photos of the tour from the stage perspective. As Peter says they have had ‘lovely audiences’. Love ‘Road to Joy’ and love YOU Peter! ❤️
Wow, another great tune. Gotta catch you on this i/o tour if I can get tickets. Followed you since Solsbury Hill. No chance of playing Chichester!? 😄🤞 What about playing WOMAD sometime 🤔
Oh....a tad envious, I have not been to Amsterdam and I have only had the pleasure of seeing/listening to PG at the Eden Project in the pouring rain in July 2005. I did have a ticket way way back in time during his time with Genesis in the very early 1970s to see Genesis somewhere Londonish but my rather thieving boyfriend of that time stole it ! Be really quite something if he would play Eden Project again...its lovely down here and full moons are amazing over the sheltered bay where I live. Very spiritual. Or perhaps an intimate show at the Minack Theatre ... please invite me. ha ha . Really enjoying the narrative to i/o its interesting hearing you talking without being interviewed. Bit like that Radio show Bob Dylan did a few years back...I was so intrigued by how he really was.
Coming To Detroit Michigan Peter Gabriel. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Don't have tickets I'm Disabled. What A Dream If You Get the chance to see this Master. Enjoy ❤❤❤ The Dream.....................
I've seen him in past shows that were amazing!!I don't know that i'm gonna make this and I have a feeling if I don't I won't have another chance. At least in my case and Peters were not children anymore.😢😂
A wonderful song. Reminiscent of Peter's best from years gone by. It doesn't quite trigger the rictus grin that goes with the mantra "I'm alive!" that comes back every few minutes for the days after coming back from locked-in syndrome, near death experiences or being told that your 'incurable' cancer has been cured, but I don't think anything else could. Every time it happens, life becomes more precious and the drive to make the most of it becomes stronger, never quite fading back to how you felt before. In my sixties, I now find it very hard to relax because there so much to discover, create and experience and so little time to do so. When I'm older and they give me another painkiller that I'm allergic to, I'll use the locked-in time to look back and enjoy. Till then I'll keep on making memories. Do likewise ;-)
I'm really amazed!!!!! How does your mind works so much creativity...☺️☺️ you and your crowd is really amazing. I love the way you enjoy this. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ thank you Peter and crowd for this legacy you leave. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
P.G. comes across as just too polite, thoughtful and generous to be a pop/ prog rock legend. He would probably be good company at a pub having a pint and pizza, as well.
