Thanks for filming and uploading this video. Another spectacular performance from this genius and force for good. The criticisms in the comments is hysterical. Against PG, against the quality of this recording, or the crew jumpsuits (that is his thing, crew always dressed like that). Ignorance leads people to say really fucking stupid things. So big thanks for taking us with you to this concert.
Struck by the humility of a man who's pushed musical boundaries for half a century, with a reputation long since secured as a genuine rock legend and who could easily coast into retirement on the odd back-cat appearance-yet instead still touring incredible new material in his mid-70s and no matter the country, taking the time to bother to learn at least enough of a home crowd's language to actually communicate with them (here, rather fluently, and with singing). And on top of that never fails to thank his road, sound, light, catering, security and every other crew-even each individual member of an orchestra.
Amazing - thank you for sharing. I am left astonished by the ignorant people who were at the concert and saw this incredible show by such fantastic musicians, yet felt compelled to talk all the way through the show instead of relaxing and enjoying. quite unbelievable.
The boorish behavior of others is something I will never understand. Unfortunately some of the finest rock concerts of my long life were somewhat diminished by the ignorance and/or “altered states” of other people. But the talking is the worst.
@@skeezix64 I just do not understand this pathology, people pay good money to see a great artist perform and when they get to the venue, all they want to do is chat throughout the entire performance
@@scottlewis9607 one of my favorite quotes from Seinfeld… Elaine - “I will NEVER understand people!” Jerry - “They’re the worst.” In other words, most people suck.
Peter is another great talent from the 70ties that loves playing & singing to LIVE fans !!! What a real pleasure to hear him be so very good at his age !!!!!
@@jugglingbeast I'm sure just saying it's much easier today then back in the day even with smuggling large Minolta camcorders into these places. Had to work in a group it took three of us to get the camera [two parts] and VHS tapes inside.
Peter ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still the man. Sad though, to see all my heroes of good old handmade music growing old. I can nearly see the day, when none of them is going on tour again and we remain with all these wannabe gangstas and autotune "stars". Thank you to Ayanna Witter-Johnson for not taking the chance and make "Don't give up" her own big moment of fame, as so many background singers would do, ruining great songs showing off all their vocal abilities. She kept it small and emotional, as it is supposed to sound. Very enjoyable concert. Thanks for uploading.
@@jugglingbeast Big regret in passing up my chance to see Rush on what would be their last tour ever. My friend bailed so I didn't get the tickets; I should've gone by myself like I'm now unafraid to do. Saw Rammstein by myself last year; seeing Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett by myself each time later this year. I won't miss out again just because I can't find someone whose musical taste aligns with mine.
Thanks for upload. And thanks to Manu Katche for holding the position for Steve Biko at the end. Thanks to Peter and everyone else - I'll be back to hear you all live soon. After 1987 and 1993 it's time again...live and real - no avatar🙂
What an incredible artist, discovered two days ago and im very in love now, excellent songs, and also congrats for the newest songs, The Court i think is one of the best songs ive ever heard
Ziemlich respektlos.
Damn... was worried about seeing this. Peter is after all in his 70s! Still has a great voice and hell... still got some dancing in on Salisbury Hill. Better than I can do in early 50s....lol. Peter has to dance at least a bit for that song. One of the most gifted artists and composers of his era. A master really.
Fans are punching the air with some of these new songs and you don't see people running to the bathroom or bar or to take a smoke break when he's playing these new songs
@@stevebrucki8969 No, I didn't film it but the place looked like a subway because people were going back and forth with food and drink and also smoked near me.
Exactly, I have so much respect for this. Depeche Mode is touring right now and they have an excellent new album that they should be proud of, but they're playing just two tracks from it!! Props to Peter for playing the lion's share of the new album!
Very much so! I saw The Damned a few weeks ago (Or months?) and they played their then unreleased album in FULL track by track. Only at the end did they play some older songs. Really takes a lot of balls because you know a large chunk of the audience might come for nostalgia reasons. Was really cool.

I was at the show with my son - the new material was excellent and the audience sat attentively. Doubt they will be so gracious in the USA. Thanks for posting this!
Your knock on Americans is interesting. I’m a Californian and I’ve seen close to 300 rock concerts in my life. The chatter of people talking in the background during THIS GERMAN performance during quieter songs is as rude as anything I can remember occurring here in the US. And yes, I know America is a huge mess. I’m living in it. But I doubt you’ll find a more hardcore Gabriel/early Genesis fan base than you’ll see a show here.
Alter Herr Gesangsverein - was lieferst du hier ab. WAHNSINN!!!
It's different in a closed space without any doubt but in Berlin it was beautiful when sun started to sink and everything became dark at the right moment. This is why peter made a pause in my opinion to get the sunset at the right time.
I haven’t seen this man since 1979 and I’m going to see him tomorrow evening at the O2 London performing his I/O tour the last time he was with Phil Collins original Genesis,so looking forward to his awesomeness and rocking into his 80’s
@@jugglingbeast Yes. I got it on vinyl as soon as it was released. Longtime PG fan. Saw the Lamb live way back in the day. That version of Flood is among the best. The version on Exposure is my favorite one of them all, I must say.
I loved the man before, but hearing him speak German, my mother tongue, is almost more than my heart can take…and now he’s singing in German…I have goosebumps…one of my favorite songs by him in German…ima gonna need this tape!
He done the whole album in German & another album in German... Didn't you know ?! If you've got Spotify, they're available on that... I seen him in Manchester, England last night & it was fantastic....
Thanks for this full record!!! I have been planning to record the full show in Boston as well! 💕♥💕♥ [ The final - performance of Bico- is fabulous!! In particular, Manu Katche's sharp drum attacks, like the heart beats of the whole performance !!].
Fantastic show last night at the O2 Arena in London!!it's my fifth time seeing this amazing artist perform Its; they dont make them kike this anymore 🤩
@@jugglingbeast Of course you're right. 😉 But Nic or Chester might play drums and Peter ist still fantastic on lead vocals. His voice didn't loose anything, he is even better with the high notes than in the seventies. 👌
I can’t believe some people are talking through the songs - do they not realise how damn lucky they are to witness this wonderful concert. Thank you for including us in being able to share this with you.
Vraiment!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Here comes the flood in German, great. Saw him Tuesday in Copenhagen, ever so great. Not that song though. Great job, thanks again. And I've been to Waldbühne, saw Moderat there. It's a pity that it's light outside, but the music is transitional.
