At least Carol tried to put a stop to all this, especially when she happened to be listening from the kitchen. She and Mike are usually the voice of reason whenever something is wrong.
Does it ever??? I know that it's a sitcom, and there is no such thing as continuity, but it's surprising that Peter forgot how crappy Bobby treated Greg when he lost the pull-up challenge.
I like how they tried to keep out of it and let the boys settle it between themselves. They knew that eventually Peter would come to a breaking point when he was fed up with being used.
Carol told him right here in this scene, but in the form of a firmly suggestive question. It wasn’t quite at the point where she thought it best to lay down the law more strongly, but that did come later.
The former. Though she gave Bobby some wise advice which he won't take. He thinks he's so cool because he was able to get his older brothers to bend to his will but eventually they get fed up which is what's fixing to happen with Peter.
The consensus of the Brady House believe that the *_hedges are stupid._* (🎓🌳- "As a Tree with a Phd. in a Gardening Intelligence, I concur that _yes..._ Hedges are Stupid.")
Well they are. They make life inconvenient for the Bradys because they have the audacity to keep growing, thus needing to be clipped all the time and someone has to do it.
As much as I feel sorry for Peter, I must say that he kind of brought this one on himself. Of course, none of this would've happened if he hadn't offered to be Bobby's slave to begin with.
He overreacted to the whole "You saved my life" thing. He ought to have thanked Bobby, bought him a candy bar or took him out for a pizza and been done with it.
Carol's wardrobe was usually pretty groovy for the era, but that particular dress looks pretty silly and dowdy on her! Like something she got out of Vivian Bagley's closet on The Lucy Show! Haha!
Bobby is exploiting Peter and while at first Peter was doing everything willingly, little by little he was getting tired of being Bobby's slave. Especially when it cut into his social life. He missed a girl's party due to doing Bobby favors? I'd have long since reached my breaking point.
