He wasn’t greedy tho a lot of time entrepreneurs come in with these crazy valuations. But with his sales and and profitably I thought he actually came in with a solid valuation.

He had his ass on his shoulders as my grandmother used to say because he's done so well on his own. But those two guys can 10 20 or 30x him in a few years. It's like a welterweight boxer trying to tell a 3 time heavyweight champ how to punch

Regardless of mark being worth more, I would take peter investing in me over mark any day of the week. In terms of investing he triples the experience of most the people in that room based on how much he invests and how much success he brings to businesses.

@@Xajsjsthe American show is not at all any more relaxed. It has way too much over dramatic background music, the entrepreneurs talk like they’re telemarketing, and it doesn’t feel authentic at all.

Never really watched shark tank, but love dragons den which is what Peter is from. Once you are out over there, you are done, was surprised to see the deal was still active. Peter generally isn't this patient with them either when they won't budge.

It's not crazy, the guy was right. These dragons overstate their value to screw u out of equity. To this day peter's biggest success is reggae reggae sauce, and that was 15+ years ago, proving that they ride the coat tails of the entrepreneur

Me too. I just can't enjoy Dragons Den much. I don't like the production but Peter Jones is wonderful.

The quality and production maybe shit but the dragon's can be a beast themselves like Mr. Theo P, Mr. Duncan B, Ms. Deborah M, Ms. Sarah W and that one lady who looks like a Disney Villan they all need to come make several appearances and invest to some of Our American businesses and Mr. Peter Jones is just my favorite and in my opinion the coolest dragon also it would be nice to see Ms. Lori G and Ms. Sarah W get competitive they are both Rich, Sexy, Successful, Strong 💪, and Independent you gotta respect women like that

The 10% isn't just based on the value an investor can bring to the business, but also includes what they consider worthwhile given any risk or how much work they'd need to put into it for the investment to work, because these kinds of investors aren't just throwing money at you, but are providing their services and expertise, which also comes at a cost. But the risk goes two ways, as it's not guarantee to succeed, so there's a risk for the business in maybe the 10% doesn't add the value they hope and the other way is the investor not making a return on their investment. But ultimately both ought walk away happy with the terms of the deal, so of course people should just accept what the investors say if they don't agree or don't think it's fair for them and their business. But people can put pressure on the rich investors and sometimes they do. If what they're offering is attractive enough and they have the balls to do it,, they can play their negotiating hand harder. For example, I saw one where the investor was like "I could be on the phone and get you 'x' number of orders, so I think my offer is fair" and the person was like, "if you can guarantee me that right now, consider it a deal".
