Peter Monn is what Shane thought he was prior to his cancellation. A charismatic person with interesting stories that IS authentic and doesn't try to OVERACT as if he is authentic.
the thing peter said about his age and people being like "oh youre 50 get over it" bugs me so much like damn are people just supposed to lose emotions and feelings once theyre an adult?? like is he so in the wrong for being a person who has thoughts and feelings??
I think an important detail that's been left out here, is that Emilia was a HUGE Trisha stan. Like 80% of what she was known for was her "I'm madly in love with Trisha Paytas, I will marry her she just doesn't know we're soulmates yet" jokes. I think she even did a video marrying a cardboard cut out of Trish. Emilia was blowing up on YT, and most people knew her as the girl who was in love with Trisha. So for her to meet Trisha was a massive deal. Everyone had been waiting for that to happen. Shane wanted to do it for a video because he knew the views and good PR would be phenomenonal. Peter just wanted to do it to be kind, because it was in his power to arrange it. I have watched Peter since late 2016. He is genuinely just such a kind, trusting and forgiving person. It was awful to watch him get screwed over by these people, but he has kept it private up until now just how badly they treated him. It's absurd that people are upset with him for speaking up about it.
Hey, I want to ask a question since I feel like you also watched that era - am I making this up, or the whole meetup between the two was set up at Shane's because "Trisha hasn't watched Emilia stuff, doesn't know who she is but is super scared of stans so they're meeting at Shane's so Trisha would feel safer". I remember that already rubbing me off weird then because I watched Emilia stuff and she was cool, but also now I wonder if Shane made up that backstory to explain away why he inserted himself WHILE making Emilia and Trisha look like the two crazy ones
Some of my favorite people to chill with were older people who gave no more fucks. An 82 year old woman talkin about wanting to go dancing again when she could and find a nice man to dance with, and ohhh my god the raunchy stories woooooo. Stuff to make ya blush and giggle at the same time. 😂
People over 50 are the best. my mom is 59, bio dad 68, stepdad 58, gen x is a fuckin hoot & so are boomers contrary to popular belief. Peter would fit right in with my mom’s crowd of childhood friends😭 they have the best stories & the best advice. Growing up with an older set of parents made me look forward to aging.. if u have love & kindness & a smidge of pettiness in your heart your soul will age beautifully, im convinced
Someone who made fun about an infant who was r* to death should never EVER be able to adopt a baby!!! This is so disturbing and it was never just for the „edgy humor“ because even his co-host confirmed that Shane OFF CAMERA has a justification for P*!! They discussed this off camera many times before and she always was disgusted by it and couldn’t believe he would say such a thing on a podcast for the whole public thing hear!
Right? There was no punch line, no nothing. He was giggling the whole time because he legitimately finds children being SA-ed funny. That is just one example. It's his FAVORITE thing to laugh about.
People are also allowed to grow and change. RU-vid, in that era, was all about shock comedy. Some people will never get it. Thankfully, some people do. Shane is going to be a great father.

Im so sick of people treating passion or even frustration as negative emotions. Everyone should be passionate about the things Peter gets empassioned about. He gets passionate about people scamming, breaking laws, abusing, being predatory.. so what if he sounds mad? We all should be mad, he's just empowered enough to feel an authentic, powerful emotion towards dangerous people and situations.
I like that you noted the disdain for frustration as well, i have ADHD and get frustrated very easy and its often humiliating when it happens around other people because they perceive it as negative

This just reminds me of how when Shane was in that Hey Queen interview with Johnny how he said he liked Colleen so much because she loved to talk about everyone behind their back. Some people just come off as agressive when they're excited or passionate about something. I know when i get angry, i get super animated, and veeeery passionate and spicy. Met plenty of people who get told to calm down, and the best way to handle those who dont know how to deal with that is explain a few times ( only as many times as you're comfy with) that its just excitement. After that, you ignore them and be your awesome self.
Shit starts to make sense when you grow older. I watched these people in my formative teen years. Me having to look back & see how my personality came from bits & pieces from these people are fucked. I cannot imagine the trauma n shit from the people who were directly involved fans.

It’s very invaliding to say to someone that they have told a story before, when they are sharing experiences. Yes they may have but they could have a new perspective, or may have unresolved feelings to work through so speaking about it will help them process.

I wish as a society we would stop mentioning people ages when everyone involved are adults. 20 vs 30 vs 50. Adult. Doesn’t matter, it means nothing and always goes nowhere with justification of things that are just bad traits or actions.

For everyone who doesn't follow Peter and isn't familiar with him: his vlog channel is so comfy, he does long almost diary-type videos that I find very comforting, he is so so insightful and he has such wisdom about life in general that can be very helpful at times. At least for me, he has really helped me by saying a lot of things aloud that I haven't always found words for. I don't watch all of his drama videos but I enjoy his vlogs a lot.
The worst thing about voice memos Is once they are leaked you can’t deny it wasn’t you because if it sounds like you then oh boy Yet text messages you can deny & claim someone elce got hold of your phone & you had no idea what they were doing with it as they said they wanted to check something etc So yeah thease big RU-vidrs who use voice memos are just setting themselves up for failure & problems in the long run

At one point in time Adam called everyone ‘Besties’ but i forgot the exact reason why he decided to change it, but Muckers, is an Irish slang word for besties or close friends, which is what he changed it to!

what happened with Peter and Shane and/or Jeffree really reflects what happened with Adam and Colleen, (without the gross the age difference and sexual element) He was being used by people with more power and influence, who he looked up to as successful RU-vidrs to get things done for them.. These people are so manipulative, and self-serving as hell
