On the lee side she sits up on her bay........like the stars and sun they shine keawaiki she helps me rest my mind. She is alone there she has no words just time........like the sunset frees the mind keawaiki you make me feel so fine 2x......Lovely rolling hills behind, spread your rays of sun that shine. keawaiki she gives me love and peace of mind, all the time woooohooooooo........ She has a warmness I love to hold inside, she cools my body in the night, keawaiki she makes me feel alright...........Keawaiki your ocean pools at night, draws me to the stars above and the sweetness of your waters filled with love. Keawaiki she helps me rest my mind.. Keawaiki she makes me feel so fine. Keawaiki she helps me rest my mind wooooohoooooo................

I never used to like this song when I was little. But now I love it because it reminds me of a time when hawaii music was really good. The local songs and artists today need to take note of how to make real music.
Yes, that's Randy's song. I've loved this song from the first time I ever heard it, decades ago. I remember fishing along the coast and camping out on the beaches, Kiholo, Keawaiki, Weliweli, Kapalaoa. We would park the boat right on the beach, before the Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway was built. The drive from the Mamalahoa road to Anaeho'omalu took hours to reach the beach. This song brings back memories. Mahalo!
Always loved this song... true Hawaiian song writer Randy Lorenzo doing his part in the Peter Moon Band. this song speaks of a beautiful peaceful aina named Keawaiki on the Big Island. Mahalo for sharing!

Sitting here on my boat up in PNW, far from home during this time of unrest. Racking my brain for the name of this song but the words finally came to me as did the homesick tears. Brings back good memories.
I never cared for this song or really listened to it as a kid. But now that I’m almost 40, I hear the meaning behind the words & feel the power of the music & it hits me in a different way. Mahalo for sharing this beautiful song for us to play in 2023. And to you, Mr. Peter Moon 🌙 mahalo for sharing your music with the world. It will never be forgotten.
This some makes me so happy and yet so sad at the same time. The Nostalgia of my youth but the power of understanding the song now. Beautiful. Gotta love island music.

Isn't this a Randy Lorenzo song? Who is singing? I played in a band on the Big Island years ago and this is one of my favorite songs from back then. Steve from Hapalaka
