Nothing gets me quite like Peter Murphy. Forever changed by him. ( I met him once...he complimented my dress, I wore bright yellow because I knew everyone else would be in black. It worked. He called me darling and told me I was refreshing....I melted into a puddle of adoration )

I was obsessed with this song when it came out and I still love it decades later. It's part of the mixed tape called "my life's soundtrack".

Saw this video for the first time in July of 1988 on MTV at 3am on the third night of a bout of insomnia. I spent the next two weeks watching all night every night with a tape ready in the VCR so I could record the video because the song is amazing but the video is a beautiful dream

Such a beautiful song. I would play Peter Murphy cds as bedtime music to get my infant daughters to sleep, and continued to for the first five or so years of their lives. There's something in his voice that's very soothing and my daughters picked that up. I hope it pays dividends down the road
