The reason Cecily played Peter Pan is because Alison Williams played Peter Pan in Peter Pan Live. Cecily played William's character in the Girls parody SNL did the previous season.

In 6th grade, I was a stage crew member in our school's play, Peter Pan. The person who played Captain Hook was a girl, and it surprised me at first, but she was REALLY good at being Captain Hook. Just the right amounts of drama and jerk. Sometimes I miss being stage crew, but then I remember the extra who shoved me and yelled at me to "go get the cake!"

I have to say this was the one time I barely noticed Kate McKinnon was in the skit. Aidy Bryant stole the show with her Tonkerbell character. I knew that was James Franco but I didn’t realize that he was doing an impression of Christopher Walken as Captain Hook.

Because..... Christopher Walken.... played Hook in this play...... he didn't know a lot of lines in this scene, which was funny bc it was his biggest scene lol. I'm praying the 78 people who clicked "like" either were laughing at you and not with you OR that you meant to have "really" before "sounds".....
