B W Sadly I wasn't actually there, but the Peter, Paul, and Mommy Too PBS Concert Special, video, and album, this entire concert was my introduction to Peter, Paul, and Mary. Long before I knew who Peter, Paul, and Mary REALLY were, I discovered them as what I thought were a bunch of brilliant children's artists, little did I know their history and how far back it went! I was actually around the same age as all of the children in the audience, so I am actually a child of that generation from the late 80s and 90s! Sadly as I grew up and lived on opposite ends of the country and despite getting 21 years to "follow" the career of The Trio, I would never get the opportunity to see Peter, Paul, and Mary together live in concert before Mary would tragically leave us in September of 2009. However, on the verge of giving up hope, I received a gift from heaven last year. In 2017 at age 29, I had the chance of a lifetime and had my dream come true after all as I had the unique opportunity to attend two separate concerts of Noel Paul Stookey and Peter Yarrow at the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley, California where I got to see them, sing with them, meet them, get autographs, take pictures with them, talk with them and tell them my fan story and who I was, and most special of all, at the Peter concert I was actually invited ONSTAGE by PETER to sing Puff the Magic Dragon with him and his daughter Bethany who was also performing with him that evening! I am now 30 and it has almost been a year since, but I'm here to tell you if you believe the impossible, the incredible can come true! I apologize for making this so long, but as a PP&M diehard fan from the millenials generation, I wanted you to know my story! I would be happy to answer any other questions you might have about the concerts themselves or my lifelong enchantment and fascination with Peter, Paul, and Mary in general so please feel free to ask me anything and if you read this and responded, bless your heart and thank you!
