Peter Steiner, trombone soloist and trombonist on a one year contract of the Vienna State Opera and Vienna Philharmonic for their 2016/2017 season, is joined by Hsiao-Ling Lin (piano) & Silver Ainomäe (cello) performing Anthony Wise's arrangement of Astor Piazzolla's "Oblivion" June 14, 2016. Steiner chose the warm acoustic in Legacy Hall at Columbus State University's Schwob School of Music to record his debut solo recording "UNITED", set for public release on the Hello Stage label in January 2017. If technique and sound quality are already perfct, all I can hear in Peters playing is music. No high notes or fast ones, not the f sharp, it's connected to the piece as moving picture of music. That's great, and it happens not very often. This is an outstanding example.
