Yeah!! Robocop is my fave since I have use of my memory and consciousness, being there would have been like a dream come true...

I totally agree it's the best but I still consider dubbing a rape of the original movie and without dubbin' you can learn a lot about english.... Since in Italy when we speak english we're all talkin' like Mario...

There's movies from the 70s and 80s that I can't watch because the dubbing sounds so bad.

We can even transform Stallone in a good actor!

He was kinda a jerk in Toronto 2019. No patience with his fans at Q and A.

Was in history class and we watched a documentary and welled came up on it and I got all excited and said "yo it's robocop!"

@M Suzuki Reminds me that the Star Trek DVD's always seemed to be in 5 languages. I listened to some of the dubs and they could sound all over the place. Some were really accurate to the original, some were not. Anyway, along comes the TNG bluray and in addition to the German, Spanish, French & Italian it now has Japanese... It's interesting listening to that and seeing which voice actors nail it (even though I can't really understand japanese, you have the tone of voice and knowledge of the original dub to help out) Data's Japanese voice actor is near perfect. Beverly's is quite good too. The others generally less so. I mean, they're still doing a good job, it just isn't always a good match to the original... The German dub meanwhile, Geordi sounds really accurate, but say, Picard sounds terrible. For that matter, They switched actors for season 5 onwards, and the second Picard was a lot better. Though I'll never forget the moment Picard started singing and it abruptly reverted to the English dub which only reinforced how poor the German Picard actually was... Dubs are a weird experience sometimes...

Sadly one can't say the same for video games voice dubs. I swear I keep hearing the same voice actor in every major video game release.

Its more or less just proof that time erodes all, and it doesnt care about your feelings of nostalgia, be happy in the fact that peter is still kicking it to this day, and that his work inspired a lot of people, even if just for a moment

AddamHusayin the original is far better in almost all aspects, casting, direction, music. the original was way ahead of its time...the new one is just of its time...which is to say it looks just like every other action movie we have seen in the last decade or so

It's like an action movie, without action. And the action in the movie meant nothing for the plot unlike RoboCop 1987, if you go back and watch, every action sequence had a piece of the story and a piece of Murphy's story with it. The only good acting in my opinion was Gary Oldman. Joel Kinneman's acting was like watching a brick wall for an hour and a half and watching Abbie Cornish cry throughout the movie was more than annoying. When the DVD comes out, I'm doing a "Clara Murphy Crying Compilation." Seriously, the writers and MGM should be ashamed.
