So you started out to make a video and do some testing and then towards the end the fun factor just took over. Thanks for another very informative video.
Great video! I have a Pete’s Pillar barrel as well on my Cz457 and it does not like SK ammo that well either, at least the lots I have tested, but it surely likes CenterX, it is the very light one, I believe aluminum? It has like a texture black finish on the outside and like stainless steel inside but I believe is a light aluminum type.
Dude i'm always in for a Bumblebee, Fly Or any other flying critter under than a bird that lands on my target. You still need to put honey jam or something sweet on your target to attract the little Critters.😂😂😂
Josh the scoping of the barrel, how does that compare to the rest of your competition barrels? Does the 22" length help from a 20"? Looks a little scratchy, is that common? Should it be smooth or polished looking? You should do that with the rest you shoot. Thanks like you videos
Thanks for the borescope footage Josh, just shows what a cows ass my 452 barrel is.. nice rifling, crown etc but the breech looks like a dog has chewed the beginning of the lands... can't replace the barrel so its going to go... 457 barreled action is next when I can get one on this side of the pond...
Every manufacturer use own lubricant for bullets coating when switching between brands accuracy suffers until surface of rifling is coated completely with giving brand lubricant When I was testing 22lr ammo many years ago I completely cleaned previous coating and fired 5 rounds to make fresh coating of barrel for accuracy test Then you can find true accuracy of the ammunition I noticed consistent friction resulting better accuracy
I wish someone would do this with the Lilja Ruger precision rimfire barrel.. lol Josh. If you have contact with Lilja it would be awesome if they made a videos or helped someone make them. Lol
Another good test with this barrel or any other if you have a Waltz resizer die you can run 10 unsized then 10 sized and see if you get any improvement I would suspect you would on some.
I appreciate your vids and have learned quite a bit. I'm a CZ fan boy based performance and my budget (Voodoos and Rim-X have been replaced by my kid's college tuition). How many rounds would you expect a CZ barrel to last, as well as, third party ones? This is assuming a reasonable regimine of cleaning without damage during cleaning.
I was really excited about this test and review ... key word ... "was" I am definitely no professional shooter by any means, but my stock CZ barrel does better than this! Thanks for saving us all 3 beans 😉
