Petra Mede has been widely praised as the flawless and hilarious host of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, but she deserves even more kudos for her brilliantly subtle reactions during the parade of voting countries.
Oh god, that is brilliant! :'D I personally like Petra very much! She's funny, polite and just lovely and also I think that because she was the only host you had someone you could build up relationship to. When the final in Baku was over I still didn't know the hosts. That worked way better in Sweden!
"This is Finland, the land of ding dong calling." >Petra nods, not sure if really for approval or just to keep the giving of votes going< Petra did a great job in 2013 and again at the Eurovision Greatest Hits this year! She should be a spokesperson or commentator for Sweden one day.
petra you are the best host im seen on very long time, and im glad is was only one host to, if is to many host is be to much... 1 or 2 is best in host way, but i cant think is not easy to be all alone as a host, but u did it great, petra..:)
OMG Darya Domracheva was a spokesperson in eurovision! How did I not see it at the time! She's like one of the biggest biathlon stars in the world. Her husband and father of her child is Ole Einar Bjørndalen, who's a Norwegian biathlon legend, and who still competes in the elite even though he's well over fourty.
Anyone with basic mathematical skill could see that Denmark had already won, would have looked pretty stupid to pretend that it wasn't decided when everyone already knew the result.
I would say the English need to improve their foreign language skills before I would ever recommend vice versa. Even if your reading scripts in your mother tongue via a telecom, it's hard, even if your used to it. Have you actually tried to read from one, while sounding natural, whiles speaking in another language?
