everything about this game sings. the design looks clean, fresh theme, the artwork is beautiful, and your run-through makes the solo mode look fun to play. thanks for sharing! hope to have a chance at it sometime.
This was great even though it was so long ago I just received this game. This play through really helped me understand the game especially the trading two cards for another action. Thank you.
One rules clarification: Rain action: You can't rain 2 drops from 1 cloud, it's 1 drop from each of up to 2 clouds. So if you only choose 1 cloud, you still only rain 1 drop from it. P9 of rules: "...place *one* drop from each of the chosen clouds"
Nick Shaw Yes, this was indeed confirmed by the designer after I had turned in the video. I believe I had heard or read elsewhere that it worked the way I played it, but you are correct.
Ooh, and another rules clarification: In the final round, ALL weather spaces with ANY votes (above 0) get resolved, not just the 2 with most votes (p12 of rulebook, the 'Exception' bit in 1st paragraph). Not sure if it would have made much difference to the final score (your 12vp from wheat bonus probably still would have won you the game), but it gives important strategic decisions to that final round.
There were 57 copies they air-freighted in in total, I believe, and almost all those went as KS backers' pickups and to reviewers. So you were indeed lucky to get one of the few!
I know this is a super old video to be asking a rules question but maybe someone will see and answer. The AI card #4, "add a cloud" with raindrops, if the dice roll is a tile that already has a cloud, does the new cloud combine or does it go to the next available tile? thanks
Nope! There is a variant on the updated rules that includes a variant called One More Turn Variant which lets the neutral player get one additional turn after the player passes :)
