5 km/lt never seen it in my car. I have petrol auto- fuel consumption is showing 9.6 km/ltr ( based on display information)- 6 months ownership review, 50 % highway-50% CITY.I have seen 11 km/ltr the most. Its true petrol auto is so much fun, awesome power delivery for this type of vehicle( fastest car I owned is 0 to 100 - 3.9 seconds), engine noise so minimal. End of the day I don't actually care about the fuel consumption just happy with the car.
I believe it is the combination City + Highway that gives a good average like 11 which is good for this vehicle. If one drives only in city traffic the the ave will fall for sure. I am waiting for mime. They say 3 - 4 months more.

Fact: Thar petrol engine makes same Torque as its Diesel. Also on petrol Torque comes earlier in lower revs and remain laster than Diesel. Means now its just matter of petrol average and price. Other than that petrol has better performance.
This petrol engine is not built from scratch its a bigger version of 1.5 ssangyong engine tgdi so just by increasing displacement and strengthening the parts there is very less chance that anything can go wrong

bade bhai i m sure you must have driven petrol automatic as well still i would request ki meri wali petrol automatic chalao maza aa jaega. And not to mention I have clocked average milegae of 11.2 for 3k in odo.
11.2 is a pretty good figure for the petrol auto if consider only highway driving at 80-90 km/h. Btw this figure was measured by tank to tank method or from the MID screen?

Sir can you help me out. I have booked mahindra thar 2020 diesel manual in feb 2021. Still no news when it will come and dealer sales person says possibilities in jan 2022 not confirm. Dream to own thar since 8 year, booked diesel because of some mileage benefits over petrol. I am not regular traveller or off roader and also i had already primary car as i10 petrol nios automatic and verna diesel manual. So now dealer says you can opt for petrol manual variant thar and delivery in just 10 days. So should i go for petrol variant or should i wait more two-three months for diesel variant.

Obviously. 4x4 is standard across Thar range and both gearboxes are available on both types of fuel. Thats the exact vehicle you were looking at in this video.
Pls suggest should I go for petrol manual as I have booked diesel manual 7 months back and dealer is saying that it will take more 3 months..petrol is available with them, but I don’t have anyone in my known who are owning petrol engine
Petrol is great go for it ... mileage will be a issue but compared to diesel its way better because in diesel its adblue refill and some people also got their dpf chocked its cost u a lot ... Petrol manual is good.
@@karanchandani3239 steering wheel and excel proper line up. And may be incorrectly did aligment. Change the alignment store. Go for any authorized tyre manufacturer alignment

@@priyamjoshi2667 but this mstallion 2.0 turbo petrol have initial torque too with smooth and silent operation even it can easily crawl at 3rd or 4th gear with only 700 to 800 rpm of engine without further accelerating the engine but the only drawback is mileage which is 2 to 3 kmpl downside from mhawk 2.2 diesel
@@ishanbarai4334 yes indeed but when you say smoothness I don't agree with you modern diesel engines are just as smooth then you talk about noise yes you are absolutely right diesel have little more noise than Petrol but is it annoying 😉 Moreover when ppl talk about noise harshness etc then I must say electric is better option for such people
