Pettis was on top of the world. Signed a deal with Rebook, World Champion, and on a fucking wheaties box. Dude was living life. But then he had to go and get a haircut on embedded.
Then the ufc started testing properly and the pettis, machidas, belforts, hendricks, and on and on and on fell off! Even Jon Jones stopped completely annihilating everyone!
@@drunkenmmamaster419 cause his style is “boring” to some I guess, grappling never excited me a ton but I always respect it cause it’s the best martial art, and this fight proves grappling always wins
because he's tearing up Americans plus he doesn't really engage on trashtalks. yeah he talk smack as well but he doesn't really tryna shit on his opponents.
RDA is one of the most underrated and under apriciated Champs in the ufc , dudes resume is insane the amount of talent he fought in his prime Put some respect on that man's name
Guida showed the blueprint on how to beat Pettis, constant pressure and wrestling against the cage or clinch work (not easy since pettis has quick submissions but definitely easier than kickboxing with him in open space) then RDA showed the blueprint off on a bigger stage, which would be replicated by guys like Eddie Alvarez, Dustin, and Nate diaz. unless your a prime Edson Barboza or someone of that caliber of a striker it’s best you avoid that kickboxing range with a prime pettis. And I’m not one of those guys that thinks Pettis was out of his prime after the RDA fight, I think he was just kinda figured out and Pettis had a natural tendency to back up against the cage and circle.
holy shit I just remembered that Funky trains at the same gym as pettis (Roufus Sports) That explains why he's sitting right next to the pettis bros at 7:04
@@risottonero4501 nope. He lost to Tony and Khabib in that stage. He got lucky that Tony and Khabib got matched together instead of fighting against guy like Melendez, Cerrone, Pettis in that stage with their crazy win streaks. Luck is needy in life
Pettis won this fight by head kick knockout to me...but this RDA was juiced to infinity and ate a knockout blow without flinching. That's when I knew RDA was on the juice for sure. Eddy Alvarez clipped him with a punch that was no way near as devasting as a head kick from a prime Pettis kicking moving FORWARD NOT BACKWARDS! He nearly killed Joe Lozan with that kick...literally! USADA definitely changed the game. RDA did not look human at all in this fight...Now, he does look human. He's still a good fighter...But, come on! We all knew after this fight he was juicing...I would be surprise if that's NOT the case.
i like dos nachos but not as much as showtime i was sad to see him lose specially so quick after his rise and that wheaties box conspiracy got him plus getting 3 haircuts a week prolly didn’t help… 🤦♂️ 😂
Pettis was so lucky he doesn't fight Khabib but not rda he got ragdoll by Khabib and learn his lesson shouldn't fight with dagestan mountain bear he just mauled them all 😝
@@euamobeijonaboca5238 Because he loses every fight imaginable. Like he is not winning his next fight, and its hard to cheer for this guy, cause he acts like an asshole. The only way i would want for him to win is if he faced makachev, but i bet you losses that one in one sided beat down. The guy is a clown
@@extreame7304 RDA is acting moronic nowadays. Calling out Khabib and Makhachev. Khabib beat RDA in his prime and if he is to face Islam, he’d get mauled worse
