Fixed it ! Thanks man,.. i did it without the tools you had...took a piece of paperclip.. heated it up and pushed trough the plastic cap..little bit of clue and i was done!
Hi!, it's a good video, compliments. Can I ask u which was the original problem? was speedometer fulcomplety faillure? In my 206 the speedometer fail the reset after the engine start and it goes down more then it goes up and day after day it loses the precision 'till indicate lot of km/h less.
Hi! I have to say you THANKS a LOT, you saved me from spend 100€! I wanna give my contribution for those that will see this video: Copper wire section: 1.5 mm Copper wire length: 6 mm Diameter hole: 1.5 mm Pay attention with glue. I dropped a tear out of the hole, and the gear was not turning properly.
Thanks for the video RSelectro! I had a problem with my tachometer just a couple of days ago, as in the tachometer would go crazy (i.e. sometimes showing 3000 less revs than it should, sometimes showing 4000 more revs, etc.). I have read that this usually happens when the actuator breaks. Do you think doing what you show solve my problem though? Thanks!
how to put a spring for the speedometer? the tachometer is working, and the speedometer is twitching and the arrow moves counterclockwise with jerking movements. Thanks in advice!
I have a 406 EW 10 whose tachometer and fuel gauge were stuck after accidentally moving the dial while cleaning the instrument panel. I tried out various things including computer diagnosis that failed to sort out the problem. After reading this I decided to take out the servo and prised it open. I realised that the gears were out of alignment. Note that if you can move the dial easily with very little resistance, the gears are out of alignment. I did realignment and the tachometer and fuel gauge are now working perfectly.
Found this so helpful, Thanks! Couldn't for the life of me get the back off the cluster. I have a faulty stepper motor, completely dead. Any ideas where I would be able to order a new motor part, only one retailer I've found and everyone else selling the one with the 4 pins on the same side as the motor axle. Thanks guys!
Does anybody tried this on other models, for example an VW POLO? I broke the needle stop during the repair of the dash cluster speaker...and now it would be useful to know if it could help
Thanks man but I have same problem with my RPM and I did the same as the video but still not working it's just shaking but not moving how I can fix that or what is the problem??? If u can help
Ótimo modo de reparo . Só errou no seguinte processo: Os ponteiros de combustivel e temperatura nao precisam ser removidos neste processo ,eles tem um ponto expecifico e uma vez que removido nao é tao simples assim de coloca-los no ponto
Thanks for you're nice explaining video RSelectro, I got a Citroen Berlingo 1 1.8 from 2000 the tachometer works? but don't go higher as 500 +/- rpm in every gear and speed would this be the same problem or? ...every help in this would be really helpful, Big Thanks.
Just did the same fix, but only for RPM, thank you very much...one advice - notice fuel gauge, it can disalign during the fix and shows incorrect fuel quantity.
Marek Ondroš bro I have same problem with my rpm and I did the same as the video but still not working it's just shaking but not moving how I can fix that or what is the problem
This was extremely useful, I've managed to fix the speedo and reset the temp and petrol gauges, but I'm unsure of how to reset the oil temp/level gauge. Any ideas?
I just tried to repair with this method but failed. Spent whole day on it readjusting it back and forward but the mechanism wont work. Had only speedometer broke but wanted to see how it looks like in the RPM and the shaft got lose there too... Apllied this method to both of them with no succes. On top of that becklit of the dashboard stopped working after I put it all back in the car. Anyone knows why?
I have a quadrant equal to the one in the video, and I have exactly the same problem the plastic shaft has left. Now I am faced with a problem I can not open the quadrant at all, it seems that it is stuck even after releasing the white tabs as shown. Can you give me a hand? Thanked
Não façam isso em casa na hora de montar no carro os ponteiros ficam totalmente desregulados e da um monte de problemas no computador do carro quem avisa amigo é
my needle works, then in the middle of the drive it drops to zero. It starts working some time later and shows the speed again. Is this the repair that i need?
Because the needle has a minimum and maximum position. You have to turn back all the way until you feel that you're reached minimum and then keep turning until the needle correctly shows 0.
