When you get to working on these, it's a real shame to realise 99% of them are ruined by people messing around, and not mechanical failure. I know these bikes like the back of my hand, I could rewire one with my eyes shut. It's frustrating, like you say drilling holes in panels etc for cable ties! But hey ho. Personally I prefer 8g in pugs. I had 6g in a standard bike for a few weeks and noticed grey liquid in the carb. It was petrol and oil mixed with a pasty metal dust. I think 6g and sitting on the cdi rev limiter everywhere was taking its toll. The grey aluminium liquid went after I put heavier rollers back in and replaced the reed valve (the carb was blowing out a mist of fuel vapour without an air box on)
I know mate, I'd rather work on a standard one that's just stopped working than what some of these kids do then tell you they have not touched it and it was running fine just last night. then you get it home to find it's not ran and would not have for weeks due to them playing/ but as you say Hey Ho lol
They are faster than the ac but still think 6g x6 are the best mid all range for pull away and top end If you fancy try 7g x6 as the engine has more low pull away power
hi yes most carbs on speedfights are un-adjustable,, as for the idle, you can adjust that at the top next to the throttle let out the idle screw and adjust the cable so it's tight then start and screw in slowly till the bike runs nice. hope that helps like share and subscribe . mark
hi mark i just installed a 80cc big bore kit on my peugeot v click 50cc the problem is it starts first time runs great but go to pull away it dies out of my mind please help maybe nees jetting which size .
well as in my other videos like 70cc kit don't do it I really don't like big bore kits they never last and don't have that much of a difference, often they need more 2 t oil or seize upbut ok you have done it , yes you will have to re adjust the air petrol mix so no longer 3 half turns maybe watch my videos on up jetting that will help and how to move up on jetsyou will need more air so off the market air filter sports exhaust to get the gasses out too,hope that help bud sorry to sound like I hate them kits BUT I do as they so often fail. mark
hi on the speedfight as in my other videos on it bud I use a claw hammer give it a watch bud it will help a lot, I have done 3 of them over the years lol, and on this one a big old screw driver on the inner teeth .. hope that helps please like share and subscribe ,mark
Fist Of Blur Leath25 If your bike is AC, one of the easiest ways to lock the engine up is to remove the fan cover, remove the fan, put two bolts back in to the stator plate, three or four turns only! (if you over tighten the bolts may contact the stator coils) with two bolts in the stator, put a spanner wedge between them and use a cover bolt for the spanner to lock up against. This will stop the engine rotating and completely locks up without the chance of slipping.
hi Mark,my 50cc viva city will only do 25mph.it was ok but lost speed while riding.Ive cleaned everything you say to clean using carb cleaner.dried everything and now nice and clean,also did the clutch.still only 25mph.what do I do next?
@@marksavage my thoughts were it would run rich and this would reduce the speed,the same as an old ford with a manual choke left on.what might I look at next that might be the cause of it being so slow? it was fine and this happened while riding it.
Alright mate got a speedfight 1 got a problem with pull of had 10 gram rollers put 6.7 ones on there still isn’t right on pull of has a burst of power after 8 mph will still happily get to 55 maybe more
hi bud so you also cleaned it all up and belt was ok not to tight or loose ?, whats your clutch like? end of the day it's up to you but 55mph top end is good if you keep playing you may get better pull away but lose top end, did you clean carb maybe look at the jet and air intake for better pull away hope that helps mark
@@marksavage my variator was really dirty the rollers are all good gave the clutch a clean to all ready for my CBT monday I can not wait lol thanks again
mark savage BTW mark i want to ask you a question about rollers, my manual says to lube the end of the rollers...can this be true? Wouldn’t the grease end up in the variator? Thanks for the great videos :)
