The idea of the sheet of paper with the notches cut out is VERY helpful!! Thank you, to look at the finished piece, it looks sooooo difficult, but this makes it much more understandable!!

Best Peytwist tutorial I've watched. Very clear demo and explanation. Anxious to try PWAT again now. Gave up a few months back cuz got bored with solid ropes and didn't understand how to read patterns. Thanks SO much for sharing.

I have been trying to make this bracelet for 2 months now, but would always get confused and just gave up. I tried a few other video tutorials, but they talked too much or too fast, some were mumbling, and it was very hard to understand that. I found your tutorial today, and lo and behold, I FINALLY did it!! You don't try to go too fast, you speak in a very nice tone, and it's easy to follow along! Thank you for making such a great tutorial! I will be looking out for more from you!

It amazes me how your beads stay in place in the beginning. When ever I try this my beads are sliding and don't stay in place. It gets never racking that I want to just give up. Thank you for sharing this design with us. ☺💖

I was frustrated with the seed beads sliding all over with peyote too. But I tried using the peyote starter from Jill Wiseman’s video and the size 11 seed beads fit into the groves that size 11 delicas made.. I made the 11 rows and slipped it off the starter and I was good to go.. Good Luck

Thank you for this great video i was hoping you could answer a few questions for me 1) Is there a rule of thumb for which row becomes the joining row? 2) does the pattern always have even number beads? and 3) what in the pattern determines if its a one seam or two seam pwot? thank you :)
@BeadsDirectUSA
@BeadsDirectUSA 6 лет назад
The rule of thumb is that the join should take place close in row number in relation to the amount of starting beads, so if you start with 12 beads, join at row 11 or 13 for the best outcome. This however depends on the design so that continuity of the pattern occurs. All patterns start with an even number of beads. The patterns with a double seam versus a single seam is basically what you would obtain using even count and odd count peyote in a flat peyote piece. So odd count joins with a single seam (which in effect, drops off one column of beads, leaving an odd count weave), whereas even count peyote joins with a double column join. Whether the piece is odd or even count, depends on the diametrical qualities of the designs, as there are definitely design situations in which you need to use odd-count, especially if you desire a “middle” bead in your work. Hope this helps, and feel free to email me if you have any more questions!

Loved your video--very helpful! Can a crochet beaded rope be adapted to PWAT? Also many of the PWAT patterns I've seen show the join but continue to indicate beads under the bead join whereas your pattern showed no beads...?

great video... just a question... how does one know how to "repeat"? You said to start at 12 and go to 19 and then repeat that. Why row 12 and why row 19. Sorry if this is a silly question but am just starting on this adventure.

Thank you, Lizelle. One thing I don't understand is how the tube is formed - it seems as though you were only adding beads to the left side of the tube, i.e. only one half of the tube. How does it complete the circle of the tube? I am an experience beader, but this really stumps me.
@gerlindelenz8674
@gerlindelenz8674 6 лет назад
Have a look at the title banner of the group. It also shows the cardboard core of a kitchen paper roll. This shows how a flat ribbon, coiled up, and joined to itself with an offset, can form a tube.

Shouldn't the first connection bead be stitched in from the different direction? I always watch tutorials very carefully, and it seems to me that your bead got twisted when you connected two corners. I apologize if I got it wrong - always need to be sure when learning new things...
