Hi. Hope you are well. I started Peyote with a Twist a few years ago and learned through your guidance here. I put down the craft for a couple of years and have now turned to your video for a refresher. Thank you for recording it and making it available to this day. 🥰

Here's a tip that is helping me. I'm working on this with 11/0 beads and found I was sometimes not "seeing" the correct sticking out bead and would peyote through the wrong bead. I then had to undo a lot of stitches to correct. I also wasn't keeping my tension consistent as I start and stop working on the piece. I found if I put a straw inside the spiral tube, it helped me with both these issues. The sticking out beads are now more obvious, and the straw created enough outward pressure that I am getting a more consistent tension now. Maybe this will help others:)

Love your videos. You make it so understandable to do these trickier stitches. I like that you used larger beads for the demo. I like the look of the larger beads for a bangle style bracelet. Would it be flexible enough to use the larger beads in an actual bracelet, rather than just for demo purposes? Thanks for all your hard work and talent in bringing these videos to us.

Just wanted to say that this technique takes a LOT of beads. I used up most of a 5 inch tube for the main color. Also, the 8/0 seed beads don't make a very bend-y bracelet. I may end up adding chain and making a necklace out of the length of beads that I made into a tube. Maybe I pulled the thread too tight?
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry Год назад
Yes it does! But a nice technique to learn. It does make stiff piece so either use smaller beads or add the chain or some nice round beads or pearls. I love that idea💗

@pennyventurino5937 5 лет назад
Hi Steph....your videos and teaching methods are the best! Your sparkle bracelet was my first ever beading project....my Granddaughter loved it. I’m anxious to try this one, but have one question....how do you keep these tube-type bracelets from flopping in flat on itself. Hope that question is clear....lol Anyway, thanks for all you do....hugs from WV!
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 5 лет назад
Thank you Penny😊🌻🤣 These bracelets are very stiff so they won’t collapse, especially using 11/0 or 15/0’s. You can put a rubber or cotton cord inside the tube to stiffen it even more. I used a 20 gauge wire in the single seam video. Check that one out💕 Hope this helps!

Dear Stephanie, I LOVE your videos best of any other bead video. I am very ill and beading helps the pain. You are so relaxing and patient. I have a couple of questions. I live in the country and have no access to supplies. I mainly buy through amazon. Can you tell me the size and t ype of endcaps you are using and mm? Also I have tons of beads but only traditional seed beads. Could i do this method with that type bead? Sincerely, bless you, Grace in VT
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 5 лет назад
+Grace Brunelle Hi Grace🌻 Thank you so much for your very kind comment! I’m so glad beading gives you joy and the videos are helpful to you😃 For a bracelet using 11/0 seed beads you will need a 7.5mm inner diameter glue in end cap. For an 8/0 bracelet a 10.5mm inner diameter works. Sometimes they vary so purchasing a couple of sizes is suggested if possible. I purchased mine from Amazon. They are the Panda Hall elite Tibetan silver glue in end caps in various sizes. There are others on Amazon as well. Yes, you can use your seed beads for this bracelet.

N.A.A Hi😃 Follow the video for row count and join. It’s all there. Rewind as needed. If you want your circumference to have an odd number of beads then use the single column seam. If you want your circumference to have an even number then use the double column join. This video is for learning the technique. To read about the stitch and it’s variations go to the Peyote With a Twist-not crochet group page to learn more. It seems very complicated but reading and studying the PDF files on the page will help! It did for me🙏😃🌻 And I’m still learning!
