I honestly feel like the Green Faith is a better Deity for druids and shifters, rather than Gozreh. It was the religion of Old Sarkoris, and it has a unique interaction at Leper's Smile that gives you some combat bonuses during that area.

@@lisaumiko4448 Depends on what exactly you mean by that. Please don't take this as snark or sarcasm towards you. I'm reporting, while testing, so can't focus on keeping autism from twisting the tone. Magic Fang spells claim that they apply directly to "natural weapons [...] of the subject" and they work, whether cast onto the manticore or coming from a potion. Granted, the text could be lying, and it's applying to the character, and not the weapon; I can't test, whether or not a party member ripping a spike out of the manticore and throwing it themselves would get that particular enhancement bonus. I'm inclined to believe that they would, because Align Weapon works on spikes. Power Fist gloves are also listed, as an enhancement bonus, and they do *not* stack with Magic Fang. Bone Fists is its own "Bone Fists" line. Magic Weapon, Greater Magic Weapon, and Holy Sword do *not* apply to spikes. cRPG Bro's builds are geared, towards an unstoppable deathball of Outflanking destruction, so I assume that's why they singled out the melee-only Crusader's Edge. My manticore is level 4, and every combination that I've tried is ignoring the damage reduction of Dretches, so it's probably all working as intended.

Picked Lamashtu as deity. She is the goddess of monsters and you are one! Also my first mythic was Master Shapeshifter. Staying in the form permanently definitely made things more manageable than having to spend first round changing because I had limited charges.

Also I can confirm outflank does provide AoO for melee characters on ranged as long as certain conditions are met, wich are the following : -The enemy needs to be flanked, wich means it needs to be attacked by 2 melee characters, if the archer crit while it is being attacked by one melee character, the crit will not trigger AoO -Both melee characters needs to have outflank to match the prerequisites of the feat -The ranged character have outflank I put it on all my ranged characters too, nowaday the only characters that don't have outflank are my mages.

I personally love to make Wenduag a dual throwing axe toon. I switch up which class I do it with though to see what I like more. I have done slayer, which is REALLY good. I have done Warpriest which is actually really good too, the damage on the axes can get nuts. Turning my evil Tsundere spider girl into a manticore sounds both enticing and horrifying, and I will be doing this on my next character.

For your Azata Manticore build one idea I had was whether the using Natural spell (assuming Manticore form counts as Wildshape) then use Spell combat from Eldritch archer and Zippy Magic to double the full combat action. You will miss out on the capstone but it should result in heaps of attacks. Pure theorycraft though since I am unsure on whether Natural spell would work.

With right build you easily can get 12 attack per round (without attack of opportunity) even without legend. Just multiclass to sohei levels for +3 attacks(11 levels) with maximum attack bonus(weapon training throwing). You even can get 13 attacks with angel speed of light.

You can get even more attacks as well using some weapon tricks with the Hasty Eradicator dagger and the Unslumbering Predator club. Also, what are your thoughts about using the Mask of the Most worthy instead of the Owl's hat, and changing your goggles to Broken Trickster?

I'm a big fan of Life Bonding on characters that already get a lot of teamwork feats, like Divine Hound. But, yeah, it's definitely not a fit for this build. As cool as shifter is, it does seem like a lot of their builds will be pretty linear with the lack of bonus feats and huge incentives to stay pure.

I know its not the strongest archetype, but i'd love to see a Dragonblood shifter Aeon build for a normal solo playthrough. I have this idea to play as a neutral dragon shifter that uses the different dragon forms to keep balance in the world, but kind of suck at making builds, lol.

The last level isn't empty, it gives you unlimited uses of chimaeric form. Not that that makes it a bad idea, she would just need to take master shapeshifter to get unlimited use out of the manticore form.

Love this build so far, it's pretty neat. My only issue is that Rapid Shot doesn't seem to work while in the Manticore form, what would you suggest taking instead of that feat since it doesn't work outside of human form?

Hmmmm, While you would loose 2 AB, you would have increased damage by atleast 1 point against evil creatures if you grabbed the "Claws of the sacred beast" as it does 2d6 extra damage and gets the bonus from pointblankshot and Mark of justice on top of your normal attack. It says that is applies just to unarmed attacks but I rememebered using it on my druid with natural attacks so I tryed it today with the manticore spikes and it applies. :-)

Are you sure you need shifter's multiattack? I am pretty sure it does not do anything from the spikes. It decreases the AB penalty for secondary natural attacks, not for iterative natural attacks. And you can see that your iterative attacks still have a -5 penalty.

Wouldn't Precise Shot be better than Weapon Focus - Spike? I'm legit new so i'm asking because i'm confused. It seems like spike would only give +1 to attack rolls precise would get rid of the -4 completely for attacking in combat opponents? Can you not use precise shot with something in the build?

I want to make a team of all shifters, who all multiclass into a pet class, so I can run a party of 12 wolves. How viable is this? Edit: And go demon mythic path. So it’s an unholy wolfpack hunting demons encroaching into human territory to restore the natural order. Yeah, I like this backstory.

Well, it could be done, but I imagine it's better done as 4x Shifters then 1x Skald + 1x Divine Caster like Oracle/Cleric. Shifters can't get spellcasting, so with 6x Shifters you'd really be missing out on the amazing Divine & Arcane buffs!

It's meant to have both STR and DEX, because STR will add quite a lot of extra damage to the Spikes, and nowadays it's NOT possible to add DEX to the damage through either Mythic Finesse or Agile Fists Amulet.

Certainly viable for Unfair as Manticore is amazing ranged DPS. For Unfair party members, definitely someone that can tank for you, as Manticore is best ranged, but can still achieve high AC due to high DEX, but only at mid/late game. I strongly recommend you go with my main party suggestion here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x8Sc_Op3bdA.html Ideally you want someone that can provide a Leopard for tanking early game, which you then buff with spells and most importantly, Camellia's Protective Luck Hex, ALWAYS. Good candidates are Lann/Wenduag multiclassed as Hunter. Seelah is always great, especially for Mark of Justice later. Sosiel is a must have for Domain Powers later too & Divine buffs. A Skald merc will highly enhance your party. I would consider Daeran for the last spot for even more divine buffs together with Sosiel.

It is, unless you pick the legend mythic path when it becomes available late game. Then your cap is 40

If you want to build them as Child of Manticore, definitely! Especially since Wenduag for example starts with the exact same feats at level 1: Point Blank + Precise Shot.

Don't even try this on unfair. The build is fine but this subclass can't hit anything and when it does it might as well have missed due to insignificant damage. Certainly it should work as presented but you will need a serious tank with Seela (I was using sohei) and Camilla spamming cackle for group protective luck. If you bypass everything unnecessary you can probably make it out of the Maze but I gave up trying to kill the brutes.

You can buff it with scrolls and potions. It does suffer a bit from not being able to cast spells. But nothing that a few investment in Use Magic Device cannot solve.

As a ranged character, which Manticore is, you will want to have someone else as a main tank early game, for example a Leopard pet from Wenduag/Lann. Frankly, we start out with 20 DEX and Point Blank Shot together with high BAB, there really is no other possible way to get higher +AB that early as far as the Maze enemies. You can also min max XP to start Maze on Unfair at level 3 which helps a lot.

Could be worth trying out! But you would need the Natural Spell feat to be able to cast spells while under Manticore shape to proc Ranged Spellcombat/Strike.

@@cRPGBro I just tested it and the Magus spell combat does work with the Shifter's shapes. You can even pick a Shifter natural weapon for the Sword Saint's favored weapon. You only need 13 wisdom for Natural Spell so it's pretty easy to get.

you missed the literal god tier item, you can turn the shard of the aroden shield into. one of 3 things and they are all literal god tier. none of them are bad for anyone, its literally just what slot you have open and want to fill. i found that out and i flipped my lid. take the shard to the story teller. you wont be sorry.

You are correct, I have only seen the descriptions but they are indeed very powerful! It's just that I haven't reached Chapter 5 with the new companion yet on my new run!

The alingment restrictions in this game and pathfinder and DnD in general just makes me angry, druids cant be lawfull good? what ? you cant follow the laws of nature and be a kind member of the pack ? Bullshit. i love all the creativity in this game but it all falls short when you get forced so hard to be cartoonishly devoted to a certain alignment for certain classes. I did give shifter a good try, made a melee bear wolverine shifter a try, he tore the slave market a new backdoor if you know what i mean, utter meatgrinder class. tldr i wish the alignment system and in turn, the mythic system in this game was not so hard coded.

I don't understand how you are able to say Trickster correctly but you struggle with some other words with T in them like Two, To, Into and so on.. I am sorry but for me it gets irritating after a while
