I don't think SFV is a boring game. SF4 was exciting (to me at least) to see the footsies and mindgames. SFV has exciting moments for the same reason. Sure anyone can do most of the combos with relative ease, but the true skill comes into how good you are at spacing and predictions. Fighting games are never about how difficult the combos are. They're about how well you can outsmart your opponent.
