This is truly a beast of a motor. Ms460 cyl with ms380 piston. And a fully balanced crank, (55-65%) stock needs a pipe made and carb size increased. Adds likely+3hp bringing it to 6+
I have the phantom 85 V3 and it's ran great all summer with no problems at all. I did buy a G2 reed valve and a 21 mm pwk carb but im waiting for an expansion chamber cause I want to install everything at once. If they don't come out with an expansion chamber soon im going to have a garage make me one
make sure the ring pins clear the intake port! The Gen 2 and 3 they over cut the damn ports on these half the time and pins run right over the intake ports. you would think they would cut the damn thing correct for how much they charge! not saying that one will have it but check! like every 6 out 10 I ever seen have left piston pin run over the intake port. I think the Minarelli Exhaust gasket fits these
@@danajett phantom 85 and the 110cc kits are near identical in speed. 110cc kit needs 3mm spacer or 4 stacked gaskets lol to run. Phantom 85 blows up constantly any version from ring snag. Intakes are poorly made copies of ms380. Honestly buy a minarelli easy. Kits people make line up with stock parts. Just don't hammer it to death. Ride it kindly. Cast iron version will blow a phantom away even 1/3 throttle at same price. Just be aware hammer it wide open cold seize issue. Aluminum version cost a lot more and is one you see dound 60mph in speed videos. But cast iron one can run 45 easy no issues
Congrats on getting the phantom friend! I was thinking about grinding the lower part of the exhaust port so it's even with the piston when it's at the bottom because even with just one base gasket the piston still travels a few millimeters Below the exhaust port.
Well It's a V2 needle bearing engine. I treated the ZMN 100 rod addition as a V3 even though it's really a V2. V3 engine is only available in the US, not here and has some design changes in the top end.
