Motorized bicycles =no fender . If you like the. Engine to run better use a 32 sprocket ⚙️ this will make you engine not rev so high. Also change the piston to a 52mm 10mm you fin them on eBay we make a video . Those bushing are crap . We goin to make them windows we waiting for them still. Also the carb and the reed no good . Use a g2 and a m18 or oko 21 mm . The chain tensioner need to go , those are for new and slow bicycle the other one will help the engine and the bicycle. We be back good video thanks for sharing
Two points. 1. Try a 4 stroke. 2. 300 lbs. That's where I started. Cut sugar, starchy carbohydrates, vegitable oil, and any sort of processed or manufactured food. Down 85lbs. With about 20 to go, most medical complaints resolved. Followed W. Davis, MD book UNDOCTORED. Seriously run a 4 stroke don't gear it for speed and it will get you to work. Not hauling an extra 100lbs will help the 4 stroke and make you live longer.
Thank you 4 the video. I recently purchased the phantom 85 v2 putting it on my low rider CruiserMatt black widow 🕷Got the 44 tooth ⚙️with 11G spokes Hopefully this works out 4 me! This is my Transportation as well..love it ❤️👍✌️🙏
I have 2 recommendations frist is to buy a needle bearing and reolace the stock one. Second is to get atleast a 36 tooth sproket. Theses engines have a lot of torque so with a 44 tooth sproket it gonna 4 strok almost constantly
I love the idea of pushing the screw in a little more on that thumb throttle, I definitely gotta throw my thumb throttle back on just to do that cause i have no control 😂
Glad i held off on the V1 & V2 ,, thinking about the V3,, I got a PK80 im using now thats doing great,, had a YD100 before that , nothing but problems!!! Nice bike man!!
@@soundqubedkiller5885 every 2 stroke ive built, and im no pro by any means ,but i know how to build them, torque everything the right way, something leaks,,, whether its a gasket, the jug, the sparkplug, the bolts on top, the carb, i mean i could go on all the leaks ive had, im sure you know all about it,,, the PK80 not a dam leak yet, im on all stock too, still breaking it in a bit but yea man, the PK80 is killer for sure...Good Luck!! Let us know if you have issues with the V3
@@413MassDigger yes I definitely understand all the leaks so now any motor I use gets rtv on the reed the carb and exhaust. Just makes taking them a part a pain in the ass for clean but oh well
@@413MassDigger the v3 is doing I guess lol. It cracked a piston ring after my 20 mile update but heard the noise and shut it done before it did to much damage. I'll make a new update video tomorrow after I put a few more miles on it since I put the new piston ring in
@@soundqubedkiller5885 right on man, i just watched your after about 20 miles of break in vid, i hate the sound they make when they idle, like some shit is rattling around in the head, its annoying, and they literally all make that noise,, oh well something to get used too i guess,, ill keep a eye out for the new vid ,i subbed🤘👍☘️
I have the same bike,it was a return at Walmart. I got it for 75$ the rear rim was messed up, so I replaced it with a 6 speed rim. My 100 cc lasted a little over a year, before the rist pins came out and ate down the side of the piston. I now have a pk 80 and no matter what the book says I run 40 to 1 after break in. Good luck, great video and good looking ride.
I put a needle bearing in the first phantom that came out,,it's a 12mm ID × 16mm OD X 15mm needle bearing, ,and its still running like monster ,,I been dogging the hell out of it, common sense should have known that that bushing crap can't last ,,,I still Don't understand why they ever put t h e engines on the market knowing dam well ,.I got the needle bearing off Amazon, I got 6 of them for 28 dollars
Nice build I got the v3 the day it came out and mine lasted a day, the piston rings failed and the piston was chipped. I did a top end rebuild and it’s lasted past the 24 hour mark so far. I’m hoping it doesn’t blow this time haha😂 good luck with your build bro
@@soundqubedkiller5885 damnnn that's unfortunate. I believe for me I was just pushing the motor a little hard, this time around I do basically close to no throttle at all and that's been helping her out. Good luck with yours man sorry to hear Abt the piston rings
@@fabianse I know it sucks because it was running great and less top end noise with the new bearing. I've got new piston rings coming and hopefully this doesn't happen again. I did have trouble getting the jug on the rings so hopefully I just cracked one during assembly and didn't realize it
@@soundqubedkiller5885 my dude I feel you, it was so hard to get the piston into the cylinder haha😂😂 my second phantom had blown up as well but they sent me a new one and it just got out of break in
Cool bike Bro ! I like that you have a 40t sprocket cause I was curious bout whether those mag wheels could run that sprocket. I been thinkin bout getting the black wheels. Thanks for the video!👍👍
I got 2 of them kits JUNK!!! Switching to 4 stroke phatmoto, with Ghoust Predator, for longevity, and less maintenance, enjoy my time rideing instead of fixing
I couldnt even get em broke in!, and exhaust mufflers are junk ,think from vibrations, but hey good luck , i switched to 4 stroke phatmoto, and bought Ghoust Predator motor less maintenance, more power, and main reason longevity!, but any bike with a motor is a blast!, stay safe!@soundqubedkiller5885
I've been watching quite a few motorized bike videos lately. I think I'm going to forego a lot of the build hassles, and gas/oil mixing, and just pony up $1000 for the Phatmoto Rover 2022. It has a 4 stroke engine, built in jackshaft, 7 speed Shimano gears, disc brakes front and back, and the gas tank is built into the frame. BTW, the visuals on the first minute of this video are some of the most compelling I've seen so far. That's some nice asphalt. lol
I don't have Amy experience with 4 strokes but I hope that combo works out well for you. I'm not really the best at vloging yet so I hope to get better
Be prepared to replace brakes ,an the Jack shaft bolts need to be modified with the right thickness washers to keep sprocket ⚙️ from wobbling an tearing up rear hub… also the derailment on 7 speed is a piece of junk to so replace that too!!!!
All phantoms including the v3 are notorious for rings snags so beware of all. It's best to chamfer the exhaust port and transfers to avoid it. Nice looking bike btw!
I think I cracked the piston ring installing the jug and just didn't realize. In my eyes the main reason they were snaging rings was because of the bushing wearing out allowing the piston to move around more than they should
@@soundqubedkiller5885 yes true but even the new ones that come with a needle bearing are snagging rings left and right, I know because I was moderator for a phantom 85 fbook group till my account got hacked. But your right they are doing a little better now. Another issue it the ring end-gaps are located right on the transfers on the intake side. They made the intake a little too wide.
Gives me Hope I'm 276 pounds, just bought 4 bicycles all 100 cc steel sleeved CDH power 1 frame is felt faker. 2 are Walmart I is a kuluna from tractor supply. I got mags with 2 regular spokes on the other 2. All need work to run I ordered a 4 stroke to see a difference between 2 & 4 stroke for myself.
I can agree acceleration torque aint the same But with a little bit of peddling can easily compare and top speed 34 Can't plan too much for reliable transportation
Good luck with yours mine is still breaking in as well I noticed that they like to ring snag on the exhaust side but I also noticed the cooling fins are smaller on the exhaust side your doing like me running it 20:1 nice and oily keep me posted on your bike engine I switched my piston to a stihl 52mm 044ms440 but mine runs hot
I think the main reason they are snaging rings is because of the wrist pin bushing. Try moving the clip on the needle down one notch an see how that helps your temperature issue.
@@soundqubedkiller5885 I changed all that only thing on my phantom is the cylinder and exhaust the carburetor is a vm18 makuine cdhpower oz Reed valve stihl 52mm 044ms440 piston with 10mm pin bearing I turned that piston into a window piston then put it on a yd100 bottom half. If I move the clip down one the engine bogs down starts 4 stroking
@@mikemiller3303 these engine like yo 4 syroke when not under load try getting a smaller sproket on the wheel that will help some and youll still have plenty of torque
@@soundqubedkiller5885 she has a 36 tooth sprocket on her she is my experament I'll figure it out eventually I did with my minaralli she liked running hot to at first and I finally found her sweet spot don't get hot no more
What oil do you use for this engine? I can’t seem to find what’s mentioned in the instructions as “Valvoline Two Stroke Racing Oil,” is this the same as Valvoline multi purpose oil for two stroke engines? I also already have Lucus’s semi-synthetic 2-Cycle oil, is it safe to use?
Piston broke on one and the the 1st one the ring snapped and destroyed the jug and now my 3rd one I was walking it to do had spark plug out so the piston will work a lil and set it's self and I heard a loud ass snap took jig off and sure enough the bottom of piston snapped didn't even get to start it,,😑and they were v2 and v 3 style's,
Damn engines with only a few weeks on them burning up I've got a china doll with a little bit of Port work that I use for my daily and been using it for over a year now
This is the 2nd vid I've seen where someone said the bushing in the piston ...... And stop buying bikes from Walmart - they aren't built for the vibrations and torque And get a 44 tooth
And whats your point?. The expensive frames made for these motors still crack so I don't see the point. With a 44 tooth sproket the bike would have way to much torque and 4 stroke like crazy so no thanks. And plus I'm grown and I do what I want. Thanks for watching tho😉
You righ the neluso frame broken righ there where You said un the back tube the Best frame is Huffy cranbrook or that Kent is Nice too or in Puerto Rico Lot people use the genesis 29 inch bike i have righ now the Cdh power gas frame and is good frame
That fender needs to go and you also need a rear brake. Stopping is always more important than going fast. I suggest going to the motorized bicycle forums for help.
I couldn't find a bracket that would work with walmart bikes. Ive also been riding for years with only a front brakes and haven't had a issue. Its not the safest
@@soundqubedkiller5885 nicee. how many miles you got on it ? Sounds like the v1 and v2 were just trash . i just ordered mine and was hoping that they finally got all the bugs fixed when they put out the v3
@drewl7164 i have probably around 500 miles on it. Take the break in nice and slow for the first 2 full tanks. Dont go over half throttle for the frist 2 tanks. Something i think that has kept mine alive is i have limited throttle travel. So even at full throttle the carb is only open around 80 percent
@drewl7164 unfortunately on the stock twist throttle there isnt. Best thing to do in your case is at the top of the carb there is a screw that the throttle cable runs through to adjust slack. Leave a little slack so the carb doesn't open all the way. Only downside side is make the twist throttle feel sloppy.
nice bike, so this is a motor kit you bolt to any bike frame? why not just use a little more oil at 20 to 1 less power or more smoke? the motor needs oil for lubrication.
Regardless of what they say..20/1, 16/1, 25/1. I've been running any and all 2strokes of mine at 40/1 after break in and no problems at all. This has been for the last 3yrs. On top of that I ride them hard as fu in 120° outside Temps, still no problems. Everytime I used their suggested ratio the bikes ran like shit! Switched to 40/1 and haven't had a problem yet!
@@soundqubedkiller5885 Oh ok, so it was either the piston or the cylinder I'm guessing, forgive me Im still learning about these engines, trying to learn all I can before I get one....
@@raymondshrader3555 basically the wrist pin bushing holding the piston to the rod wears out prematurely and causes the piston to have unwanted play and usually chews up the piston rings then proceeds to tear up the cylinder
@@Westhelockpicker so most 100cc kits have a piston thats about 47 mm as to where the phantom has a 52 mm piston which gives it more torque and more room to play with gearing
Your going to have to run alot smaller back sprocket, ,36 or smaller iv got a 32 and. I'm 250 pounds so ,,you have good take off with that sprocket you have but that's it
Yeah for sure,,,as you can probably tell I have a problem commenting before I watch the entire video, ,,,I have a couple phantoms my self and a 56mm frankenstein reed motor ,I really don't care to much for how fast it can go as much as I just want an engine that can get me around an pull off from a dead stop without burning the clutch up,,an stay together,
I have the same tipe wheels that you have on the bike in this video but the black and red letters that took off ,,the other mag tipe wheels I had broke at the back hub ,,these seem to be stronger at the hub ,,hey stay safe out there my friend
@@TheLouisamite I like these wheels just so I don't have to mess with the rag joint and they look a lot better. I'll be as safe as possible people hate these bikes in my town
@@soundqubedkiller5885 yeah but filing a plug is better than swapping out the jug and piston. That's how I look at it but like you said everyone has there own preferences
@@paulyounker8848 it's not the plug I worry about its all the carbon that builds up from the extra oil. At 20:1 you still have plenty of unburned oil coming from the exhaust. I use regular 2 cycle oil for break-in the switch to synthetic
@@soundqubedkiller5885 the mags dont go with any motorized bikes. Also nowhere nearly strong enough to handle a phantom 85 let alone a standard 66cc. Rag joints work fine. Just need a decent rim in good shape and to be installed properly. Way too many stories about mags breaking. And its not a matter if they break its when. But hey you ll find out soon. Lol
@@jaycee2366 ok well ive had mags on all my bikes and im a big guy and havent had problems with them breaking so im good. Ive even hit pot holes had and still no issues
I'm 240 lb. That's what I'm running. It will give you a bunch of torque specially going up hills. The bigger the sprocket the more torque you're going to have
Cuz you were obviously looking for more torque. That's what you said so I was just letting you know if you go up to the 52 you'll have a whole lot more to torque
If you listen carefully I refer to the v1 that I put three tanks thru. Not this motor. I literally say that in this video it's on the second heat cycle.
