The Goliath would be a good prospect for your next review. The Trinity is what I am going to get my hands on, so I can try that 14mm core the feels better than other 14mm cores. I like the linear concept you speak of as well.
This is a paddle I never would have considered but the Trinity sounds special. Would be interested in knowing your take on their 13mm Savage and Sniper. You mentioned the descriptors of dynamic vs linear power. That makes sense, keep using that term because I have heard it from other reviewers. Nice explanation.
Eenie, meanie, miney, moe.... Goliath! Thanks for a solid review for a new-to-me pickleball company. If I win, I'd love to grab that Trinity paddle! Gratitude~
The sniper (13 mm elongated) looks interesting. When i was starting PB (when basically there was only gen 1 fiberglass) graphics were a significant part of how i chose my paddle. Having a design specifically aimed at superhero/horror fans and younger players seems like a good way to differ yourself from the pack.
Thanks for the great review! I love the design of these paddles! Although, I can see why some people might prefer having the eyes smaller or in a different place on the paddle. I would like to see a review for either the immortal or the savage next. Thank you.
would love to see a review about the goliath for its 16mm thickness and see how it compares in terms of control and consistency to the trinity. how much power drop off would it have?
Super awesome video! Glad you mentioned the HUDEF viva pro gen 2 that I love, they do look a lot alike, looking forward to the chance to try the Phantom Trinity!
I think paddles, particularly the blank carbon fiber Gen 2 thermoformed honeycomb core paddles, are becoming so uniform between brands that it’s hard to discern any real differences between them as a consumer. If the Phantom modifies their core as they say, then it would be a welcome change that I’d like to see in paddle tech.
Thank you for posting this review of the Trinity (Advanced Response Series) and Eternal Paddles (All Around Action Series). Next, I'd love to see reviews on the Sniper and Goliath Paddles from their Power & Precision Series.
Glad to discover a new paddle brand, and also great to see they are trying to change things up from the usual formula. Next paddle i'd like to see if the Phantom Goliath!
Ooo. Good question! That one is tough. I’m really drawn to standard shapes right now. But there are some really good ones out-and if you can’t take into account the Eternal’s crazy value as a factor-I think the Trinity because I haven’t played with a power paddle that I liked that much that didn’t need some weight customization. So, I like that it plays so great out of the box. However, my answer could be different tomorrow. Lol. They’re both really good. And I like that they’re priced so low, you can almost get both at the cost of a lot of other paddles TBH.
Thank you for the review. Please review Phantom Savage and Immortal, 2 wide body paddles, this is the 1st time I see paddles with T800 instead of T700, T800 is stronger and lighter.
Great review. These definitely seem like great options for the budget minded or for a great loaner paddle to have a friend come who wants to try but you don't have to worry about them dropping or thrashing it. I would have to pick the IMMORTAL as the next one to get a review.
This is first time I heard of Phatom paddles although I heard another company with paddles with names like Phantom and Quantum if I remember correctly. I expected the smaller cell and 14mm of Trinity giving it more power and pop but didn't expect it to still be getting good control. Fun to have those eyes on the paddles. I like to see a review of Phantom Savage. The eyes should be there too for a name like Savage.
Glad to see more relatively unknown companies putting out good paddles! Imagine the landscape in two years🤯 I'm gonna pick the Goliath for your next review.
You won the paddle giveaway from Phantom Pickleball! Please be on the lookout for an email with next steps. Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉 Also, you can confirm you're the winner by checking the community tab on my RU-vid home page.
I haven’t played with too many HEAD paddles TBH. But I could imagine that being the case with their tennis background. But do they tend to be on the smaller side?
Foam edges help with sweet spot, yes! Unfortunately, they couldn’t provide SW and TW, and I currently don’t have a machine to measure. Sorry! If I ever get that info, I’ll pin a comment.
Also on their website the return policy does not allow a trial... full refund on unused paddles only...otherwise partial refund ... and to get the higher paddle for $120 you need to do their 'subscription' which is not well explained...otherwise the price is $149 I must say I'm disappointed by how some details of this review seem to be misrepresented.
If you type in the code, you don’t need to do the trial! Just checked. Sorry the subscription thing confused you. If that was there when I wrote the review, I totally missed it. As for return policy, that’s the case with lots of lower-priced paddle companies. I should probably clarify it’s not a testing period next time. Thanks!
