Hot take: Kiriko should have 175hp like widowmaker. She has two abilities to keep her alive and one-shot potential, on top of a ridiculously small hitbox, so she should be squishier to compensate. This will make the kiriko player to think whether or not to actually duel a dps, and have a higher demand for mechanical skill as missing will get you more punished, rather than just try surviving long enough to get a headshot.

I once heard someone say that hero health should be balanced based on hitbox size. I cannot express how much I agree. Heros like lifeweaver who have a fat hitbox should have the extra 25, while heros like kiri should lose the 25. If they’re harder to hit, they should have less health and vice versa

Hot take: Lifeweaver is a well designed hero that needs almost no changes and is good for the game health. Yes, you can make the swap time between guns faster, yes, you can improve some interactions with the pull, yes, you can increase and decrease his numbers, but is a hero that has some pros and cons, like high survivability and an easy way to heal your team, but a large hitbox and no insane utility like suzu or antinade

honestly if they reduce his heal charging time and fix the pull bugs, he would probably instantly become my favorite hero to play. i love him already, but i always feel like a healbot playing him. and watching my pull do nothing is demotivating. but i love his style of play and do think he’s fun enough as is

Forget a hot take, how about cold takes that should’ve been implemented by now: 1. Objective time on score board 2. Name card voting at the end of the game 3. In game cosmetics gained through play time 4. Enough overwatch currency in the battle pass to purchase the next battle pass

I like Hanzo’s souvenir emote it’s dope as hell. The dragon wrapping around his arm and then a newspaper that says “hard carry” is awesome I love it. They do take up too much BP tho

Even though I do think it's a hot take I honestly really want it. Even if not mid game, at least something to look at in your profile. There are so many games where it feels like I just receive no healing and it would be nice to know if I was doing something wrong or if I was validated in thinking my supports were shit.

Why? Those stats would literally mean nothing and be very different depending on hero and play style. Healing received means nothing because if your tank for instance has a lot of healing received that can be either good or bad. Maybe your tank is too resource hungry or maybe the supports are healing too much and not using utility enough and there is no way to know which is correct mid game. Same thing for damage taken maybe their person with a lot of damage taken has terrible positioning or maybe their are doing a good job at soaking agro from the enemy and again there is no way to definitively tell mid game. Also you don’t want to clutter the score board with tons of extra stats when most people don’t even understand how to contextualize the ones we have already.

I always found it strange that people liked role queue over open queue (I started playing when ow2 released). I get that sometimes you get the 3 tank 2 healer comp and the match is no fun, but when both teams are playing relatively ethically, it’s nice being able to swap to tank/supp/dps when someone else isn’t performing so well.

Hot take: the seasons are too short for current development cycle. The quality of rewards in the BP have progressively become more underwhelming over time, and every season there's always new bugs that sometimes go unfixed until a season later. Truthfully I don't know what the workload is like for the team, but all of these indicators for quality leave me to suspect that the devs need more time in the kitchen. I understand that players will receive less goodies each year and content creators will have longer drought periods to work under, but I truly prefer if we got more meaningful content and polish.

Voting maps also helps developers know which ones the players don't like, so they should probably take a look at them for a rework.

Hot take: Push is actually one of the best modes in the game. Most of the games feel like a tug of war as it was intended to be. Most people only remember the games that were steamrolls because of negativity bias. There are obviously cases where it will be a steamroll but it's probably close to the other modes in terms of how likely a steamroll occurs.

Had a game on new queens Street the other day, they pushed about 110m before we pushed anything. We came back and won that game in overtime. I don't mind the mode, I just don't like how my teammates play the mode at times. Some people would rather stagger pushing 3 meters instead of regrouping and it kills so much time when they repeat this all game

I only really hated push at the beginning of overwatch 2 because everyone was still learning how to play it. Now, I don't mind it so much anymore, and comebacks are far more common now in Push.

I hate it because I can win 98% of the game and one good push that snowballs at the end can give me an L. I’ve also won games like this of course but I don’t think it’s fun to win because my team happened to snowball ult economy at the very end or get lucky

Adding a "map vote system" into the game would not be fair at all in comp. Having groups stack all of their votes and dictate which maps get played every time is unfair, it allows them to specifically play the same team comp in most games. The RNG Gods are way more fair.

Yeah, games which let you affect which map is chosen have a problem like this. Such as DBD, SWF's will stack map offerigns to make the game play in thier favour. I feel like the map vote system might also affect queue times/people leaving when they don't get the map they voted for + unneccessary toxicitiy

Hot take: Mauga is only strong when his team pick complimentary supports and the enemy doesn't counter on support. It is still a support problem (and that problem deep down is a 5v5 problem).

Hot take: Some abilities in OW2 should draw on ult charge (Eg 10% ult charge draw) + have cooldowns before you can reactivate abilities. Bap Lamp and Kiri Suzu are good abilities where this change can curb how unfair the abilities feel, and encourage players to play more effectively if they wanna use some of their abilities (shoot instead of heal bot when there isn't anybody to heal). Eg if you use Suzu you loose progress on ult charge so players have to the weight the benefit of instant save vs having big push later with kitsune. Can also be applied to give some characters more depth, Eg Rein can reset fire strike cooldown by sacrificing ult charge. It gives rein more opportunity to gain ult charge and prevents enemies from waiting out cooldowns.

Hot take: I think they should give Balls adaptive shields, effect immunity. Making him immune to anti, hack or slows as long as his shield ability is up would help him a lot and make him more valuable in many situations imo

Hot take: Add a 6v6 mode as an experiment, just let the players see how it would feel. Change nothing except for tanks lower health like when they're in open queue. I personally would love to see the new tank combos that could be made!

@@madara992 You'd think with how long the discussion has been going on since ow2's release they would address it lol. Open queue was the ruleset before role lock and we have a gamemode for it, we should do the same for 6v6 imo

@@lily-zc2eq well yeah, they don't want to potentially admit they might have been wrong. But the whole game doesn't need to go back to ow1 we can just have it be like open queue and let 6v6 be it's own unranked mode. I don't see the harm in adding more ways to play the game

Hot take: There needs to be a "sub-role" within DPS that acts as a pseudo off-tank, where only one of this sub-class can be picked on a team. It'd comprise of characters like Mei, Bastion, Sym, Reaper, etc. These usually create the "toxic" team comps when paired together, and it'd limit the frustration of tanks. You would still be able to pick two of the other DPS, just only one of the "sub-role" DPS. Bonus idea: With this new sub-role, you could also house some of the tanks who don't fit 5v5 well like Ball in this class too (with rebalancing of course).

It’s just an added route for toxicity. “Why are you playing torb on offense she’s a defensive character” This just seems to arbitrarily limit that character selection. The ranked 3.0 system should also transfer to quickplay with the only difference that your rank remains unaffected The quickplay matchmaking in overwatch doesn't make sense to me at this point. Why is it even possible to get a gm on the enemy team while being a gold player myself? Considering this playing ranked is more enjoyable even though I don't like sweating and just want to play casually, but what I don't like even more is getting destroyed by higher level players in qp

If I'm not mistaken qp works with the role delta matchmaking too. Meaning that if you're gold, you're being matched against another gold on the enemy side, and if there's a gm on the enemy team there has to be a gm on your team too. It mostly happens when friends with different skillset are playing together

You’re getting a GM when you’re in good because they are in a group with someone low rank. Stuff like this is not a common occurrence there is already mmr for QP so it’s not that weird. We don’t need grouping restrictions for QP because that is supposed to be the mode where you can play with all your friends. If you want strict skill based matchmaking then go play comp.

That's the catch, I do want skill based matchmaking (meaning I want to face opponents of my skillgroup) but I also want to play casually without having to sweat (since that's what competitive is for) Ranked 3.0 will do exactly that. If I want to play with my friend who's GM I can, but then the enemy team will also have a GM (they called it wide skill group) and if I want to play solo then I won't face any GMs at all (a narrow skill group) This is the system that they are going to employ in comp, but I also want this to be in quickplay since it would make matchmaking more balanced and the game more enjoyable regardless if you are solo or with friends

I don't think that's the case, since the games that I am talking about were not even close, meaning either our GM had a really bad day or we didn't have one to begin with But either way ranked 3.0 is meant to improve matchmaking massively with wide and narrow skillgroups, I'm just saying that they should not forget to add this system to quickplay as well

There should be a preferable map list (or one of the maps you wouldn't wanna play) to select which maps you'd prefer to get over others. They could see which ones are the least wanted and rework them

Hot take: the community cannot handle a sup having an ultimate with too much impact. No one worries about ults that can kill an entire team with a press of a button, but everyone freaks out with a support that can save the entire team, even that this often demands at least good timing and positioning to do so.

Souvenirs should be deathstamps like in Paladins. They drop and stay on the ground for a bit when you take out another player, temporarily marking where they died.

Hot take: sombra is fundamentally in fun, her abilities consist of a get out of jail free card, a damage over time shot which acts a bit like cases first ow2 Granada, an ability lock which ruins mobility characters and perma invis so you can’t even plan on where she is half the time

hot take: bap lamp should be his ultimate. it has way too much value to be an ability on cooldown. maybe buff lamp’s health a little, or its aoe, but make it an ultimate. they could also rework window to be smaller, multiply damage and healing less, and have a shorter uptime and cooldown to encourage holding his ground.

Hot Take: Dorado 1st point attack is the hardest point to take on any map and it needs an immediate rework. Harder than Numbani 1st, Circuit, Junkertown, and Havana 3rd.

Thing with comboing ults is as u say, u can prevent the ult going to waste by maybe them popping an ult to stop the visor. By giving the nano to a visor u make sure that if they don’t overcommit u win the fight and if they overcommit you have an advantage for the rest of the game

Overwatch needs a full rework to its emote system I don’t play fortnite but the best part about paying ten dollars for an emote is being able to use it real quickly but in Overwatch every other emote takes the full length of the emote and you are stuck in it and in Overwatch the only time you have to use an emote is between fights or else you just die

HOT TAKE: loot boxes weren't even that bad. I get that loot boxes are more related to a gambling side rather than a appropriate reward for playing the game BUT I still think it worked better than season normal pass because you could get some insane good skins in any loot box and if you play a little you would almost always get a couple boxes and you just can't have the same good itens with only the free season pass which sucks. (I know you could buy loot boxes too but you could pull some really good loot still without buying it)

Hot take: Flex Dps/Projectile Heroes are harder to play than Main Dps/Hitscan heroes. Flex Dps require you not to only put your crosshair on the enemy player, but also adjust for the travel time and speed/movement of a particular hero you're shooting at. Also when both teams have Mercy, it is harder for Pharah to find value than for the pocketed Hitscan - it's hypocritical of OW community to say otherwise.

Hot take: counterswapping is NOT a problem. Do yall remember in the early 2000s when everyone was talking about shark attacks? Sharks were everywhere when in reality there was a low record of shark deaths. The same is happening here. That player doesn’t want to play genji anymore, you are not being countered. If we are going to do map voting I think it should be one guarantee as an option and the other is anything else. I think the more guarantee options you give, the more likely maps will show up multiple times within a couple hours of playing when there are 30 maps. Maybe in the quick play queue giving more voting options is fine but in comp being good at all maps is part of the skill.

22:34 Hey, that's me! :D To clarify I made that comment before the Mauga buffs, he's a bit too much rn. I feel tanks like Orisa and Sigma are really well designed having multiple ways to mitigate dmg, so when Mauga was released for that 1 day I liked his kit but if supports looked away from him for one second he exploded and that wasn't fun lol. With only one tank in the game now perhaps we should be buffing tanks to match Mauga not nerfing him (only if damage and healing creep isn't addressed)

Okay KarQ, I normally don't speak up or rant on RU-vid comments. You don't know the struggle, I have one friend who plays overwatch with me. We've been best buds for years and always climbed ranks together. He made the switch to pc a couple years ago. It's been agony for many years but especially sour on overwatch. In quick play you always get the response "it's quick play why do care" so I'm locked into playing quick play with people throwing. Not fun for anyone, as long as it's player choice. Turn on CROSSPLAY or not. There is no reason not to. Cept qué times. Still, worth a try I think.

Hot take: they should implement a system like street fighter 6 where YOU can select your enemies and teammates skins based on your earned and purchased skins. Makes having skins more useful than just having others see them (except when doing emotes and on menu screen)

As a console support main in masters I can say half of the supports alone have good matchups against pharah if you hit your shots. I hate being that guy but it sort of is a “get good” thing. Usually when I die to pharah it’s my fault.

It's not even just the supports, if you have a high mobility tank or any hitscan, just chase her out or gun her down, mauga's fire minigun is just death to phara because it'll still do a ton of damage after she escapes, and if you've played recently you've seen a fair few mauga.

In masters for Support and DPS on consoles can pretty much confirm she is a none issue. I can two tap her as Kiriko with some mild difficulty but all I really need to do is switch to Illari and she's not playing the match until she switches.

I like the Torb takes. They're flattening a lot of the characters, and it feels like Torb's strength is less in his turret, but more in his gun. Which I suppose is less annoying, but that's just more boring characters. Symmetra feels similar, and Mei and Sombra have a similar issue imo

@@CowKirbo Hitting that hard at range comes with the difficulties of projectiles but the increased fire rate added on top of the overhealth he gets with his ability not reducing his left click damage like storm arrow like Hanzo is some next level bullshit. His turret should honestly prioritize low health targets first.

hey KarQ this is my first comment on your channel! So the game Paladins that is loosely related to overwatch 2 actually has crossplay ranked. From my experience playing on console and then pc, The difference is immense. Yes it's fun to play with your friend, but the difference in platform advantage is too obvious to ignore. thank you and goodnight!

Hot take: Wrecking Ball should be moved to DPS with a few adjustments to make him fit in. He's just not a tank anymore and 5v5 doesn't suit him as he was best at working with another tank.

Counter hot take about tanks feeling like raid bosses: The more lop sided you make the game as far as power in a role (like making tanks feel like "raid bosses") the more you naturally get the situation that tanks currently complain about most, which is they become magnets for every debuff and CC possible and the more they'll get dog piled as soon as there is any opportunity to do so. Because that is how you treat raid bosses! You save your best abilities and cooldowns to shut them down as much as possible. If tank players are tired of being the target of all that (and it usually sounds like they are as they complain they can't play the game that way,) then IMO what they SHOULD be asking for is to NOT try to balance them like they are a raid boss. Reduce their lethality and reduce their special reductions in boops and sleep dart etc and instead change the role's focus to enemy control and disruption, area control through barriers and walls, and team defensive utility. The tank role can easily be built around controlling space through powerful control abilities and utility rather than through damage threat. And as a side benefit, by reducing their lethality it preserves the value of dps as role, AND means that powerful CC and debuffs are more less likely to NEED to be saved to discourage aggressive tank plays and will be used on a wider variety of targets. Also, if tanks were balanced to be no stronger than other roles, just different, then it wouldn't be unthinkable to give some tanks immunity to anti heal, or a self cleanse, or immunity to some forms of CC. A role designed around exerting control while also being hard to control in return.

Take: Currently, Sym is the worst Damager Hero. Though she has niche applications where she shines, she struggles immensely outside them. Even if she has a decent win rate (one informed by her niche application and "specialist" player base, mind you), she feels terrible to play. TP is slow, balanced around the fact your allies can use it (They won't). Her beam takes time to reach the dps levels comparable to other damager heroes, and only moderately eclipses them. The d20 secondary fire is too slow to charge up and to reach its target to be an effective poke tool. Her turrets are very weak, being made of paper and dealing less damage than a quick melee per second with a range that's slightly too short for its hp and dmg. And she has too few hit points and self sustain abilities for a brawler. (Both Mei and Reaper have 250 and sustain abilities. Sym has her effective-once-every-two-blue-moons passive).

Hot take: theres no sense on Mei having 250HP... she becomes ice and heals herself, also has her barrier with tons of HP... Make the ice block also breakeable! It will prevent players from getting mei and stalling the payload/point... shes a DPS, not a tank...

Hot Take: Sombra should NOT have multiple ways of hacking other heroes out of there skills. Not only is it extremely unfun for the player getting hard targeted but the fact that the ability variation can hack Heroes out of Ults is entirely to much value against an ability that takes time to charge up. instead i propose the Hack could reveal that hero to the team or even copy another heroes ability since she has EMP as Ult

Potential Hot Take: High Rank OW players - including top500 - can never get out of bronze, if they actually end up in that rank. They always get spit out by matchmaker into ranks where their teammates have some knowledge of the game and actually care.

Mauga should have been the 2nd melee tank. The most boring part of Orisa is her shooting and they made that his entire character. Imagine him with the classic shark tooth sword and some sort of small personal shield to raise to close the distance and leave the rest of his kit alone.

Probably an extremely hot take, but that's what the series is about - I'd love to see a "Flex" role in Overwatch. By a "Flex role" I mean a character that can be picked by more than one role. As a support main, I often miss my Bap, Kiri, or Zen's damage capabilities, while still able to provide some (even if majorly reduced) team utility. I love playing a casual mode, picking Soldier, and focusing more on my Biotic Field, racking up thousands of healing in the match, when I play with my team, more like a support. There's an untapped potential within the Role Passive, that barely got changed since the game came out, and could adjust to the role you're playing. Something a bit extreme, but often mentioned was Tank Mei. While not perfect, and not exactly fitting for the Solo Tank role of OW2, it could be an interesting experiment on casual servers. We already have characters like Ball, or Lucio who flex into other Role's "Primary Jobs" hard enough - Lucio with his pick potential and space denial, and Wrecking Ball with general problems in slotting in as a Solo Tank. Mauga's Overdrive could be applied to other heroes and make them supports. There could be potential in that, especially with Blizzard trying to cater to more casual audience. Hell, gimme a Bap with a damage grenade launcher, so I can pill people out of existence like my good ol' Demoman!

Hot Take: I know that Hanzo isn't OP, but he never been fun to play against. I get it's probably a skill issue on my part. It just sucks to be in a fight and randomly get headshotted by a random arrow. And if it's a good Hanzo they're more than likely going to hit their shots even when I move to avoid their arrows. I can hide behind cover but he can see when I'm coming out. He's not the most oppressive, he's just not fun to play against

I don't get how this is a hot take. Hanzo needs to be nerfed so much. The nerf they did only really affects what, two, three heroes? Mei, reaper, and I think brig could take an arrow even before the reduction. For the other two though they survive with a whopping five health from a head shot, literally any other damage will kill them. Every other non bastion non tank still dies, and even without headshots he can kill in a quick two body shots.

Hot take: “don’t focus on your team focus on yourself” is probably one of the worst pieces of advice you could give an overwatch player. I only say this because it makes people just not listen to there team if they need help or ping an enemy on many occasions I’ve been anti’d discorded etc and nobody will help me when i ping an enemy right infront of them but their tunnel vision wont make them turn around. I think its ok sometimes but really annoying most times

100% agree. It's a team game, you can't do fuck all by yourself. I personally consider myself to be fairly good at the game. Could I be better? Absolutely, my aim especially could use some work, but it's ok. Some of the teammates I get though make me want to bash my head against a wall because how the fuck are they in high plat low diamond like me.

I feel like a lot of players fall into the trap of always blaming teammates when stuff goes wrong and in turn focusing more on your teammates mistakes than your own which makes it harder to improve at the game

Hot take: The community and the devs need to kindly shut the hell up about hero fantasy because they are extremely selective, nitpicky, and choosy choosy with it. Focus on making a better game instead of worrying about hero fantasy. Some characters like Reinhardt, Genji, Doomfist, and Ball have had their fantasies completely gutted for the sake of better balance but for other characters they're extremely stingy about balancing their frustrating mechanics in the name of "keeping the hero fantasy." I play all 3 roles and to me certain characters definitely get the better end of the stick. Choose, do you want everyone to lean into their fantasy and just focus on the fun of Overwatch where every character is dumb and goofy, or do you want to focus and work on making a better pvp competitive game. It cannot be both, you cannot hard focus on mitigating and being petty with certain characters and then turn around and let characters like Kiriko play on training wheels and Sombra have a 3 second EMP. Hot take : there should be a left-handed hero. While most heroes do indeed use their left hands for their cooldown abilities and some of them are actually dual-wielding (Moira, Kiriko and Mauga), we have yet to play a hero who's main weapon is exclusively on the bottom left side of the screen. I know left-handed people only represent 10% or so of the population but unless there is a valid reason not to have one gameplay-wise, i don't see why such a hero is still missing.

Hot take: buff genji Actual hot take: genji, specifically his ult has always felt very weak in terms of damage. Plus the risk more often than not outweighs the reward due to you only not being able to do damage at melee range (deflect excluded). But let’s all be honest, the damage is ass, and when it gets to a point where blade needs to be conbo’d with something like nano, that calls into question if the ult itself is good or not, which I believe it isn’t. Or ya know that may be a skill issue for me idk, but I feel like nano blade is weak

Make all abilities that drop a turret i.e. torb turret, pylon, lamp lose hp over time, similar to buildings in clash Royale, makes it that u can't drop a turret and get infinite value which forces bad players to think about where to drop it and prevents cheesy AFK spots

Hot take: at least one of, if not both of Mauga's lifesteal effects need to be removed. His E and his passive make him entirely reliant on constant damage dealing to survive, leading to the "shoot the enemy tank" meta we have right now. Lifesteal also makes him very vulnerable to ana. The lifesteal effects need to go and should be replaced with a different kind of utility. If his lifesteal did get removed, he would need smaller hitboxes. Also, Overrun rollouts are one of the most skill-intensive parts of the character, so they should lean into his movement.

hot take: a lot of players underestimate and underutilize bodyblocking in overwatch. just putting your character somewhere and being annoying and distracting can have just as much if not more impact on a game as getting kills if you do it right in the right situations. ive won a significant amount of games by blocking the other team from doorways or healthpacks, running up close to slow them down, etc. it really does work and no one does it

Hot Take: Overwatch should add an editing system for abilities/ultimates, for heroes in PVP with something along the lines of what they showed in the Overwatch 2 PVE trailer. An example would be to add projectiles to Dragonblade but reduce the movement speed/damage of Genji, or maybe give Tracer blink 10 dmg if it runs into people but a longer cooldown to recharge. These are just examples of some stuff they could think of doing and they could balanced in a trade-off kinda way. It could create fun and new compositions and potentially more opportunities to not get countered as hard vs some characters.

Pharah itself isnt an issue but pharamercy is a big issue in console, especially when you're playing support and your dps cant play only junkrat and reaper. Even if you go high dps supports, you dont have enough damage on your own to shoot down a mercy/pharah and if you spend most of the game looking up your tank gets insta-deleted and you get flamed even though your dps is going 0-0-7 (real experience btw lol)

We shouldn't abandon Moira's necrortic orb idea. Maybe expand her normal orbs, they still function like always but now you can charge them kinda like Symm's alt fire, it could use part of Moira's resource gauge to charge them and they become a proyectile like Sombra's virus. Heal orb charged could give the extra healing from Ana's nade or a cleanse. And the damage orb could be the necrotic orb, or a small discord effect or damage sharing to nearby enemies or something. I know KarQ has said before that Moira being simple is ideal but I won't deny I kinda like the idea of charging her Orbs as an ability.

I don’t want Moira to become more powerful. She is the symm of healer and I see her in masters A LOT with really high heal and elim numbers. I think she can already stomp metal ranks in her current state, without requiring the craziest time investment or mechanics

My vote for the map point that needs to he reworked the most is first point Dorado. That defensive high ground can just feel really oppressive at times. I know people hate Circuit Royale but I never thought it was THAT bad. But I could go with a few tweaks to it Junkertown has always been one of my favorite maps, never understood the dislike for it.

Coming from a console hitscan player I can confirm that pharah is not as good as pc players would think she is on console. She is fairly simple to hit the hard part is the mercy pocketing her.

Hot take: Blizzard should probably slow down on how quickly they release new heroes. The game has been out for 15 months and we've gotten 7 new heroes. My concern isn't new players struggling to learn the roster (that's a long way down the line), or the need for bans (which can be easily implemented), but the balance of the game. The roster is small enough that a single hero release is a big shake up. Depending on a new character's kit, they may demand that the meta shift around them and force allies and enemies to pick certain heroes to aid/counter the pick. Slowing down hero releases will reduce how often we get metas where certain heroes feel compulsory and will also slow down on power creep and mobility creep.

Hi, high level console player here, I’ve been from gold all the way to masters since 2016 to now and phara is not significantly more powerful than the rest of the cast the higher you go the more skill there is so you can still deal with her with the typical counters

Funnily enough they did make her ult move, in the Greek event last year characters were upgraded with new abilities, For example widow could turn people to stone and junker queen did more damage, Phara's change was that her ult could move while active, she is too easy to hit in her current state, Phara is one of those characters that is hard to balance due to players hating the pharah/mercy Duo, If you buff pharah and make her meta, mercy also gets an indirect buff, It sucks because I like playing as phara but think she is kind of weak right now

Sort of like siege, I would like to see a mode that has the same rules as ranked (longer matches), but there is no MMR. It'd be for the players who want to sweat but not lose any MMR if they lose. This would fix the issue where quick play is too sweaty sometimes.

Hot Take: 2 tanks wouldn't solve the problems with role queu instantly and if anything would make the game worse. The balance of Overwatch 1 no longer applies so you'd have unstoppable comps like Orisa-Zarya, Ramattra-Sigma, etc. In order to go back to 2 tanks they'd have to rework a guarenteed 30% of the roster, which then they'd have to question if supports would still be balanced. Two tanks sounds great until you think about how much work would have to go in to ensuring tank identity is kept while also ensuring the game stays fun.

Tbh I know it's a bit late but I want to respond to that console Pharah part. No, Pharah doesn't counter every hero on console, the problem is that players on console tend to look down more than up. Idk if it's just the difference between being farther away from your screen or what, but, console players just tend not to look up. I can dominate a lobby as Pharah when players don't look up. But, she is very easily countered by any hit scan with at least half decent aim. Ngl, it sounds like the issue in this one is rank and skill. The higher you get, the more likely people are to actually look up. To be clear, for anyone who wants to argue, I main both Pharah and Ashe on dps. Pharahs are not hard to pressure, hell, you can even do it on illiari or lifeweaver. It's not necessarily your job, but, if she's wreaking havoc, just start taking shots at her, you'll force her to play more carefully whether you hit her or not.

Easy hot take of mine that i know is wrong is: High skill floor characters need to be generally weaker than other characters. Tracer, Genji, Lucio, and Doom (and more) should stay week because when they are buffed even slightly, they start to dominate QP and ruin the fun as the availability for anyone to play them makes them show up in every game. With the recent tracer primary fire buff she showed up in every single game for a while and she is generally unfun to play against. TL:DR, keep the complicated/high skill floor characters weak, as when they are strong, they make the game less fun.
