Hi ya Dave 👋🏻sounds like a great time, VC meet up…. Nice classical, Cleveland O. Yeah awesome sound, outside seating??? I’m all about that everyday all the day…peace back at ya….hello to Eric my lil brother 😎🚲☮️🙏🏻✨
You showed one I have! Well, I don't have the record but I do have the CD of Szell/Cleveland Orchestra playing Brahms. So cool that you and Zonkman traveled down to SC to meet up with Eric.
You're the king of the VC meetups again. Some might call you a VC Ambassador. That Birth label is sweet. Got that Hampfel at Boppity Shop in Dec which checks out on all of your requirements
That was the most classical I have seen that was well dispatched. Fantastic to meet up with Steve and Eric. That was fun. Look at you with classical now. Once you get a bug in your bonnet there is no stopping you lol.
Dig the 3 stages of beard length in the thumbnail. Never seen that first Gunther Hampel. Nice find on the Michael White, an artist whose records are still sorely missed in my own collection.
Dave, again great trip. I’d be all in with Art coming as well on the next one. I’m down with doing this trip more than once a year. You had some great pick ups. On the Sam Moss, I couldn’t remember if you picked up the vinyl. I knew you still did CDs, so I grabbed that for you. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman
Dave, hard to choose between Terry Riley and Julius Hemphill, I would have asked Eric to flip a coin. Ornette Coleman played a modicum of violin on some tunes, I really love his scratchy sound, ragged but right. In my vinyl collecting daze, I never saw any records on the Birth label, they were available only through Cadence mail-order.
