The 4 count is definitely a way of knowing, but I feel like his sounds and rhythms are so recognisable to the point where even without the count it's obvious he produced a track.
sorta true but you cant really know if somebody produced sumn if there are so many people trynna be like him yk. Like if you have 1000 pharrell type beats one of them is bound to be really hard and actually sound good so atp🤷🏽♂️
@bigloc1779 who’s copying Pharrell nowadays tho? Lol most producers have this tired ass genre restricted sound and he kinda just had his own style like yeah you can copy it but that don’t mean it’ll be nearly as good otherwise Kendrick would’ve got some random Nigga from here opposed to the man himself.
Bruh wdym... his voice is in the chorus part " we gonna be alright" The first time I heard that song I knew right from the start that Pharrell's in that shiz😂
@@shivzziPharrell produced the original then sounwave (kdots regular producer) mixed it and beefed up the sounds but the skeleton is all Pharrell down to the hook / lyrics = GRAMMY SONG
It's actually a bible reference, irrc, that moment in video video happens after Kendrick says "would you sell your bro for a credit?" As well as a bunch of Christian imagery. How did Judas betray Jesus? Judas kisses him on the cheek to show his enemies who he was
So THATS why Mr. Morale is my favorite song of the album. I love Pharrell’s beats and I didn’t know he produced that song. Pharrell is my favorite producer of all time and every time I see his name on a track I just know the beat is gonna be amazing
mr morale is the best song from that project. i got hype in my bedroom by myself and tears shed from the pure joy and excitement hearing kendrick bar tf out
in Mr morale the 4th yeah is when the beat comes in. normally with Pharrell's tag there is a 4 count and then the beat comes in on the 5th sound, or beat 1 of the next bar
Wow thought more people knew this. Kenny has some of the best Pharrell tags. My favorite is “momma I hit a lick” he goes “I want it I want it I want it it it"
That was beats 2, 3, 4, and 1 you played. But I understand what you mean in context iof the actual song. I never noticed, and i knew Pharrell produced it lol
Honestly if you can’t tell the track Mr Morale is produced by Pharrell you don’t know Parrell. The whole beat emanates his sound. Synth-heavy, deep kicks and 808s, the kinda atonal melodies - it’s pharrell all over
For those who don't know he is a legend 😂 He produced Britney Spears - “I'm a Slave 4 U” (2001) ... Nelly - “Hot in Herre” (2002) ... Justin Timberlake - “Señorita” (2003) ... Gwen Stefani - “Hollaback Girl” (2005) ... And so much more 😅
